I just can't figure out anyway that this is possible.

If I roll in the first payment, I get $399/mo.+tax, or about $432/mo.
(that's using all of your numbers.. though the residual is off a little.. it's not a full percentage of the MSRP)

If that $7919 is taxed, that's another $600+ dollars, and the payment would just about match up.

Thanks! When you say $3250 lease cash, does that mean that the manufacturer is providing $3250 off the cap cost, so i should expect the dealer to include that in the lease figures? Not sure if the $3250 is a customer or dealer incentive.
Either way, assume any price given already includes it.

Lease cash is a non-published, non-retail incentive. Only edmunds provides the info - that is why we are here.

We don't have all the regions this month. It's possible that your area numbers are slightly different (though a different residual is weird).

The goal is to make sure you aren't being taken advantage of. Getting all the numbers disclosed helps that. Be aware that tax is 9%-10% in PA, and collected on the payment, not paid upfront (except for taxable amounts paid upfront).

I see there are no May numbers available. I am about to try to negotiate a lease on a 2017 Sonata Sport Value Edition sticker price is $25,830 in 01701 area.
Hyundai (HMF) is offering -$3250 should I expect to receive some dealership discount as well or only what HMF is offering in which case their online lease calculator is the bottomline? I need to get an idea what is reasonable to expect. Layman.

You should negotiate a selling price before applying any incentives.

We don't have the Hyundai numbers, this month, so can't tell you if the dealer is marking up the MF on you.

But yes, that payment seems high.

Be advised that in Texas, sales tax is applied to the entire selling price, so your lease payment will be higher than, say, someone in Oklahoma.

$5000 off sticker isn't bad (but, we don't know how much of that is incentives).

And, not knowing the MF, I'm not sure how you can assume the payment should be $250/mo

If you shop multiple dealers, you'll likely get the best price. Sedans are not the most popular body style, at the moment.

IMO, for the SE model, 250/mo is still high (maybe not for TX considering the higher tax basis). For that money, i would lease an Accord LX and not worry about all the quality issues Hyundai is having.
