    I get about $318/mo, but close enough.
    If you like the selling price, it looks good. (you left out the $595 acquisition fee, though).
    I'd keep the $1500 CAP reduction in my pocket and take the $43/mo higher payment.

    Thank you kyfdx. Yeah I don't know why he added all this crap when I never asked for it, for sure will ask to remove it. Do you think I can get a better discount? $398 before taxes seems quite high for the amount after discount.. but I don't know very much about it.. Is Mazda offering any incentives for leasing right now that I could ask him to apply?

    Just losing the garbage fees will knock about $27/mo. off. The new CX-5 is pretty popular, but you should be able to do better than that. Might have to shop more than one dealer.

    $2000 Due at signing:. $293 + tax (6%)

    Seem a little low?  I had another dealer provide the following....

    Sale price: $27883
     $2000 down:. $320
    $3000 down: $290
    Says all prices include taxes/fees/title. He gave me the .00084 and 60%.

    Thoughts on both deals?  Thanks a lot!!

    Politely tell them you won't sign a deal where the MF has been marked up. They know what the base rate is.

    Dealer can inflate the MF as much as .00050. Coincidence?

    Lease of $327.00 Per Month. My calculations came up with $298.00.
    Which is closer to the reality?

    Ask the dealer what adjusted cap cost they are using - what is the $2500 being used for?

    On the invoice sheet (looks to be generated from Mazda's portal and has a vehicle VIN), there is a $153 Marketing assessment and $44 for wheel locks.

    Is that marketing assessment from Mazda or from the local dealer? Can this be removed/negotiated?

    I can request the wheel locks removed, correct? Or is that a mandated factory option?

    The cap cost is $28005.53, with 1862.47 going to cap reduction. $500 is customer rebate and I noticed a $199 vin etching fee that I will have removed.

    I guess the difference between the selling price +fees and the adjusted CAP is sales tax?

    Money factor is marked up from base of .00084. That adds about $8.50/mo. to the payment. Otherwise, the calculations are correct.

    Yes $25,567+$692.50+$1,054.73(sales tax) -$500.00 = $26,814.23. I thought the tax was running high but reading thru the posts I realize they are increasing the money factor now as well. Thank you for your insight and we will mention the money factor to them to see if that can at least save us the additional $306 but I am guessing that is the best we can expect.
