The destination is part of the MSRP - did you mean the acquisition fee?

If I add 4% to the selling price and $995 for the acquisition fee ($83,597), I get a payment of $1169/mo. Even backing out the $2500 down, I get a payment of around $1100/mo

The number you really need the dealer to provide is the adjusted cap cost (with taxes and fees included, less the $2500 up front cash), and how they arrived there from the selling price.

With that, we can zero in on what's good and not good about their offer.

Yes.. but the equivalent APR is only 2.5%.

Data point; Working with a couple dealers in VA right now for a 2018 GLS 450, 36 mo 15k lease. Was just quoted the following on a $83k MSRP Build:
$1800 cap cost reduction,
$0 Down
53% residual
.00156 MF
$1,366 per month incl tax

Hard pass for me. MF looks high and they need to reduce the sales price. Goal is $1100 per month with $0 down.

Scroll up a handful of posts, and you'll see someone lease a car similar to the one you're interested in for $1040/mo.

Understand that your payment may be higher as VA taxes the entire selling price, rather than the monthly payment.

With the prices given, I get a payment of $1155/mo plus tax.

Find out the specific cap cost the dealer used for their quote. Could be the MF is marked up; the acquisition fee certainly is ($795 base)

Also, get a full breakdown of how the $5000 up front is being applied.
