Yeah 36 months are definitely less. It would be around $238/mo incl tax with $0 due at signing. So the total would be $238*35 with the first payment waived. But due to personal reasons I can't commit to a 36 month lease.

We haven't negotiated at all yet but the first offer we got from a local dealer is $320 for 36mo/10.5K miles with zero down, with our Z-Plan discount. Seems like a pretty bad deal compared to what we got our Escape for ($300/mo with zero down, same terms, and that had a sale price that was $7k more than this) I've attached a screenshot of the details but adjusted price is a little under $20K.

Curious to know what would be considered a good deal for this, and also if anyone has recommendations for a strategy. Is it better to start by negotiating an overall sales price, then later reveal we want to lease? Same with the Z-Plan- divulge that info after an initial offer?

You want to be up front about your desire to lease; there are different incentives for purchase vs. lease, and you want to make sure you're getting the right prices.

I get $314/mo. Should be close to $0 out of pocket, as I see it. Was that the case with the Escape?
