    As a long-time convertible owner (on my fifth!) I can tell you that a wraparound rear window is a great idea but in those days they'd be clear vinyl, not glass. After a few years they'd turn yellow and scratchy.

    The Comet is around a 60, and a a 59 Plymouth. The Imperial and Merc are a little harder to tell specifically for me with just a rear shot. I'll guess a 58 Merc (or Meteor) and a 57 or 58 Imperial. Andys, that Merc convertible picture you posted looks like it would be perfect for somewhere in Florida or the Southeast near a beach.

    Good eye AB848. This photo is obviously brochure art taken early or late in the day (when the sun is low). The photog possibly didn't like the reflections coming off the glass.

    There was a Chevy Bel Air in those colors and that 2-door hardtop parked along a road to a Walmart for a couple of years. I couldn't figure out if it was original or had been restored. I didn't understand leaving it out in the weather through the summer. It's rare model in this Midwest.

    The Dodge could be either a '53 or '54. Come to think of, it could be a Plymouth, DeSoto or Chrysler. Based on pics I've seen Olds used the tri-sected rear glass 1950-53 (on certain models. I couldn't find any w that style of tailights :s

    The oldest cars are the tu-tone gray '47-48 Chevy on left and the '46-'49 Ford or Mercury on the end of the Left hand row.

    Boy the stylists of that era were really good at making two y/o cars look completely obsolete. :p

    Nope, the stacked round tailights say 1962. '63's had square tailights as per the brochure art>

    I believe those could also apply to 1955 Chevy 3100 trucks but you're right its is indeed a '54. I just read that Chevy/GMC PUs outsold Ford in that era.

    Interesting photo, I'm trying to figure out where the mix of Euro and American cars could be found. Somewhere in the English-speaking world, perhaps Jamaica or Barbados?

    Off to the extreme right I see a bit of what might be a 50s-60s Morris Oxford. The tu-tone
    twodoor heading left is a DKW/Auto Union 90. I'll leave the rest for others.

    Could be a '46 Buick as well. The other Buick looks like a '52 or '53. Lots of dark colored cars for a tropical setting.

    I am mildly surprised that the Mercedes has the headlight treatment used for US models. It just goes to show you, although I'm not sure what.

    Might have been easier to source a USDM car and import it personally than deal with a possibly slow local dealer, or maybe it was a tourist.

    The dark car parked behind the DKW/Auto Union makes me think British Ford.

    Here's a shot of Rockland, Maine from 1954. The business coupe cruising past Sears had me stumped for the longest time as I could not identify that front end. But now I have it.

    Taking another look @ the NY City scene w the Lancer I see the parked Caddy is definitely a 1960. I has the full wraparound windshield carried over from the 1959 models (like the Olds behind it. '61s had a smaller winshield and sculpting on the sides.

    In the Sears photo, what is the car in front of the white over blue 53 Chevy.? It is a name on the back, but iI can't make it out.
