    Do you know what the acquisition fee is for VW? Also my first time leasing in Ohio. How are the taxes calculated? Thanks for all your help!  This is my fourth car leasing with your help.

    $675 acquisition fee.

    Ohio taxes the sum of payments, and collects it upfront.
    Of course, you can always roll the tax amount into the CAP cost.

    Example
    $300/mo. pretax.
    $300 X 36 = $10800 X 7.5% tax = $810 sales tax.

    Update for the group. Leased a 19 Tiguan SE in NJ with panoramic sunroof, remote starter, prepaid service and all weather mats MSRP on sticker was $31,314. Deal is 3 years 10k/year for $289/month $2289 out the door which included first month's payment. Residual $18,162. How would you rate the deal?. Thank you for the help and feedback

    Having a little trouble breaking this down. Monthly payment comes to $323/month with taxes and everything rolled in. Only payment at driveoff is $323. This is for a SE AWD 36/10. Can you take a look at it and help a bit? Thanks in advance.

    Another question - do you think lease deals will be better next month as it is the end of the quarter and it seems like there are still alot of Tiquans on the VW lots in comparison to say Subaru Foresters in higher end trims.
    I am trying to decide if I should wait until next month

    Hello - I live in Bloomfield NJ and have checked out this dealer which still has 59 Tiguan on the lot. I was wondering if there were any conditions on the markdown sales price they are advertising and were you able to get them to come down more on their sales price or were they firm?
    Was there a given breakdown on this discount like VW incentives etc or conditions like you can't get pricing with a trade-in. They seem to be offering same pricing for March as they did for February and nothing has changed.

    Also curious if you if you shopped around for quotes from different dealers in Northern NJ or went down south to Toms b/c they seem to offer such big discounts based on location and large inventory.

    Right now they are offering the following:
    SE AWD (30 on lot varying prices) - assuming that the MSRP price also includes what you mentioned: the sunroof, remote, service and mats as it was close to what you noted (they don't indicate add-on options on website). Current advertised: MSRP $31,224 w/ "Dealer Discounts" of $4,521 - Sale Price: $26,712.

    They are currently advertising on SEL AWD/Nav (12 on lot): following price: (MSRP: $34,864 (Discount:5564/Selling price: $29,300)(This has sunroof & SEL AWD Premium (5 on lot): (MSRP: 39,239 (Discount 6079)/Selling $33,160)

    Any insight on your experience and help with my possible negotiations would very appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. I'm super grateful for this forum.
