If you negotiate the payment, it gives the dealer an opportunity to pad the deal with their own junk. You want to negotiate the selling price, and make sure you understand all the components of the deal.

Regarding the MF hike, I'd simply tell them that I'll find another dealer unless I get the base MF. Don't negotiate the number; they already know what it is.

I know you don't track prices - exactly; use the link I provided to help figure out the target price you should aim for.
