Indiana University health is one of the systems to provide vaccinations. Due to my job, I was in the first group to be offered a vaccination. Also helpful due to my own health (or lack thereof) history.
First round goes to healthcare workers and nursing homes as I understand it.
Pfizer second shot 21 days later. Moderna is 28 days
How did they inform you of your eligibility and when/where to get the vaccine?
Oops. I looked again and email was from Indiana State Department of Health
Back in 2002 I entered my Club Sport in a car show sponsored by a local publishing company. The only other car entered in the import class was an Eclipse. The owner displayed it with the hood up to show off the new white spark plug wires. The problem was that the motor was filthy and the wires had greasy fingerprints all over them. I don’t know why he bothered.

In reality, they lost me even when Ed was still involved. More often than not, Mike talked condescendingly towards both Ed and “Ant” in many of the show’s episodes. Really left a bad taste.
Moving it back to the U.K.? I dunno. Is Ed coming back? I really liked “Ant” and found him knowledgeable and entertaining. I just liked Ed’s more “no-nonsense” approach.
I took the car in for an oil service a few days ago. I just noticed on the reminder sticker they put on the windshield says the next one should be in 5,000 miles. That's the first time it didn't say 3,000 miles.
Oh...the headlights were not turned off when they were finished. They turned them on...instead of Auto.

Edd is never coming back. They got a new guy instead. Someone I never heard of, but must be known on Youtube (and I think worked on Formula one maybe)

Mike and Elvis have worked together, before. UK based show where they help someone obtain their "dream" car, by taking their current ride and whatever money they can chip in. Mike trades up, and Elvis fixes the car to make a profit.
Was interesting, in that Mike would go in some pretty strange directions - made one deal to obtain 6 to 8 motorcycles, each of which turned a tidy profit for him. Also traded for a couple of RVs and took a blank van and turned it into a food truck.
And yes, Elvis was part of an F1 team at some point in his career.
This episode epitomized the problem with the latest series of the show..
Wheeler Dealers went down the hole when: 1) they moved to the U.S. and 2) the tall man left, he who could take apart anything and put it back together, plus he was a wizard welder. I haven't watched the show in years, but I do miss the old approach.
I agree that moving to the US was not the best idea, but I ended up liking Ant too. But they did spend too much time on some of the silly stuff, and the test drives.

Stick, I agree with you - they spent too much time trying to “entertain” the viewers with their end-of-show shenanigans. They no longer understand those of us who used to watch the show to see the skills the mechanics used to solve problems.
Mike is a “showman” and the real “wheeler-dealer” in his approach to interacting with sellers and potential buyers.
I liked the old show because they spent more time on the “fixing and welding” than showmanship! 🤓
TV shows that my son(and sometimes my wife) have been enjoying- in no particular order:
Picard The Mandalorian- better than than any SW movies save Episodes IV, V, and Rogue One Roadkill Big Sky Your Honor My son thinks Bryan Cranston's Judge Desiato shares my judicial demeanor Gangs of London Bosch
In a lighter vein, my wife and I are fond of Death in Paradise and Shakespeare and Hathaway

It is hard to tell for sure with all the make-believe and the unseen cast of off-screen mechanics and helpers, but I think Ant is every bit as good a mechanic if not better than Edd ever was. But Edd, when he was still fully into the show (so excepting the last year or two he was on when he seemed mentally checked-out some of the time) was a better explainer/demonstrator and engaged with the audience better in terms of showing how a repair needed to be done. That may be because in those earlier shows he actually needed to do a lot of that sort of thing himself instead of having it done by others off-camera. Ant seems to be a very good metal fabricator and welder. I watched a new ep yesterday where they got a Fiat X1/9 and he had to repair a rusted windshield channel section. If he actually did what they showed, the guy knows how to do that.
I think the issue with moving to the US was that the producers also changed at that time, and the result was more Brewer antics in the name of entertainment.
We just got hit by Gail overnight. (We have been naming our storms in the north just like the southerners name their Hurricanes.) We just got a dusting. The initial forcasts started out to be "white death" type forcasts but quickly changed.
But I don't know whether to be happy or sad, because those of you further to the east from Ohio are going to dumped on as this Gail organizers her gale-force winds and dumps 1-2 feet in the drastic forcasts.

Snow shovel alert...
What are going to do with your stockpile of bread and milk now? They up the predicted snowfall amounts fro 3” to possible 14” so I’m sure the panic will ensue.
Edit: I see the NJ governor is on the tube right now going all in on the fear mongering. You’d think snow was some sort of strange alien invasion in the north. However, if somebody stumbles in from the cold without a face mask store owners are being told to throw them back out into the snow. Yikes!
I expect our governor and many local politicians to be spreading the doom and gloom soon.

We've had maybe 0.3 inch since 3 am EST. But it looks like Pittsburg and south into the icy Appalachians on east are gonna get it.
I’m 10 miles east of the Burgh and it’s started already. About 5 minutes ago there were a few scattered flakes. Now it’s a lot more and the flakes are a lot bigger. Since this seems to be East of Ohio, why don’t you deliver some TP, bread and milk and head on back before the winds change.😳

Predicting 10"-18" here south of Boston. Jag's going in at noon for oil change/tire rotation and general inspections. So, should be done well before the liquid gold starts falling from the skies. Will park it in my condo garage and fiance will pick me up, bring me back to her place so I can help shovel as required. Yeah, help.

View from my home office desk yesterday - warming up again for the next week-10 days, so it will be a slushy mess - but I sense snow on the horizon. Bring it on! This reminds me of childhood winters in the Columbia Basin, I still get excited about snow.
Not me....I want to be in Florida. Doing OK though, can play tennis in the bubble 3 times a week, and we now play Winter Pickleball. As long as the temperature is about 30F or more, and there is only a light wind, and no snow on the ground, and no puddles, we can play. Yesterday I played and I had 5 layers on....took off my jacket after awhile....not bad!
Nah, most of us hate the cold and pine to go someplace warm in the winters.
They estimate 30% of the Canadians who head south for the winter will still go. Half a million go to Florida other years. You can't cross the border on foot, by car or by boat, so the ones who go are flying. Travel insurance covers us for covid....but, the logistics of trying to get care or getting back if we got it would be difficult, so we are staying here even though temps around 32F are ridiculous.

I got a call from Son #1 about 2 hours ago that this is the day for the carpet install in the basement at the flip. Got a husband wife team this time and they were hard at work and didn’t notice that we already got about 2 inches and it’s a rear entry garage. So, I went down and asked the husband if he wanted to move his van out before it got worse. Typical a guy, he said “I’ll do it a little later”. His wife looks at the accumulation and said, “you’ll do it NOW. I don’t want to be stranded here”. He just moved his van. I know who the boss of that crew is. Not really all that surprised. I decided to move the Subie too. The van had a little trouble but no problem for the Subie.
Bring it on. I want to see how good that grocery getter is in this stuff.😀

Wow. I'm impressed. I know a lot of people did walk across.
Did someone drive a car across one of those years?
Swimming across!
I am afraid of rivers and creeks with their ice that may be thin in spots due to undercurrents. Two brothers a couple miles from where I lived drowned walking the ice in a creek on their farm when I was in high school and they were a few years younger.

Yeah, we saw cars on it.. no tragedies, but shewww...
It's not that far to swim, if you are sober. It's the boat traffic and debris you have to watch out for.
When I went to school in the Burlington VT area, there used to be car races on Lake Champlain when it iced over. Also, drunk people driving on it at might.

When I was in the service my first duty station was at the mouth of a river and during winter time we did a lot of walking on the ice. When we did it we took with us a long boat hook and placed it across our chests with our arms over the pole. That way if you broke through the pole would stop you from going all the way through the ice.
We did a few ice rescues when I was there, you defiantly don't want to be the junior guy on that crew.
One of our rights of passage was that in the spring after the river began flowing freely and there was still Ice in the river we would get into wet suits go into the river and float down the river into the lake then return via the beach. You want to talk cold try that.
