Isn't how much the lease payment increases if you roll the taxes on the $7500 lease cash into the payment dependent on the money factor? The range MFs is from 0.00148 (~3.552% APR) and 0.00212 (~5.088% APR) so I'd expect that increase in the payment amount to vary amount based on the MF.

Thanks and yes, I know the sales tax rate matters more than the MF but I figured you looked up the sales tax rate in zip code 94022 (from the original request) and then used it to calculate the tax amount on $7500. I didn't realize until just now that you simply divided $2k down payment requested to @hoanganh007 from the dealer by 24 months to come up with $83/month.

Back to the question from @hoanganh007. The $2k that the dealer is requesting to qualify for the $7500 lease cash is BS. You shouldn't have to pay anything up front to qualify for the lease cash. The sales tax rate in zip code 94022 is 9.125% which means the sales tax on the $7500 lease cash is $684.38. It sounds like the dealer wants them to pay another ~$1300 in fees up front like maybe the Kia Finance bank fee of $650 plus other fees like DMV fee and dealer doc fee rather than roll them into the monthly payment. I'd ask the dealer how they came up with $2k up front when the taxes on the lease cash are only $684.38.

Not that it should matter because the dealer's on website and the NHSTA show the Vin number for these are technically wind trims.

The window sticker is correct that the North America Car, Truck and SUV of the Year (NACTOY) limited edition is a GT-Line AWD and it's the same MSRP as the GT-Line AWD (even though the VIN decodes to a Wind trim). They didn't charge anything extra for the NACTOY limited edition package. The dealer online rep is either uninformed (which I seriously doubt) or they're trying to sneak in a $7500 markup on the limited edition to offset the $7500 lease cash that every EV6 gets on a lease. Kia Finance will automatically give the $7500 lease cash in their system and I don't think the F&I person can alter it. Zeroing out the lease cash doesn't benefit the dealer anyway, it just makes your monthly payment higher but a $7500 markup on the selling price does benefit them because the higher selling price is the amount they'll get for the car from Kia Finance.

Both residual percentages went up by 1% this month from last month which is odd this late in the model year. Last month the 24 month, 10k miles per year lease had a 63% residual and the 36 month, 10k miles per year lease had a 56% residual. Is it possible that your data source is incorrect or did you give me 2024 EV6 numbers?
