We just got the Tiguan this April with 38K on it, and we're enjoying it so far. My wife is the primary driver, but we also now (mostly) take the VW whenever we go somewhere together. At highway speeds, it pulls nicer than you expect with a turbo 4, and while the downshifts could come quicker they're a lot smoother than the 6-speed auto in the RDX.
HOW much?! And not even an S?
And it says Carrera 4 but RWD?
Did he at least get an inspection, especially the IMS?
I guess it is too late to mention it is worth just $10k-$11k on a trade?

Thanks for your kind words. I’m not sure the material, but will find out. She’s only 47, so too young and active (skiing, tennis, pickleball) for a traditional knee replacement .

You at least got to see it.
When we got home from dinner we stared to watch The Price is Right at Night but they interrupted the show after a few minutes here and carried on for I don’t know how long about the weather. Yeah, it poured for a few minutes and it was really coming down but they kept stirring up the possibility of tornadoes and they never stopped. Finally, I had enough and watched something on the DVR. If they don’t talk about the weather around here they wouldn’t have much to talk about since the shootings seem to be almost at record lows.
Thanks for letting me know what I missed.

Took the Maser out for a real shakedown tonight. Everything worked the whole 30 mins. Towards the end, the bushings were squeaking a bit. Guess they don’t like being pushed hard. My summary? It is probably the closest to the CTS VSport I’ve felt. It shrinks around you and makes you forget how big and heavy it is. Good thing the brakes are so strong because I nearly overcooked it in a 70-degree turn that is closely tied in by trees on the far side. It feels a bit flinty when hitting bumps in turns, so it often asks you to back off a bit. Overall, I think a worthy replacement for the Charger. It won’t get nearly the attention, but it is more fun to drive while providing similar utility.

I didn’t get into any details about it with him. I didn't ask what he paid.
I do know that he hasn’t picked it up yet so I’ll ask about price and IMS.
Sounds like the Charger’s days are numbered.

911 is Carrera 2. Not sure if IMS done. Dealer sent oil for analysis but he will have IMS done either way. Paid $21k and seems thrilled. I’m not gonna say a word.
I can see why Toyota's RAV4 is wildly popular. I have an XLE (not sure if it is a '23 or '24) AWD 4cyl (non-Hybrid) as a loaner while our '22 Highlander is at the dealer for some maintenance. The little SUV is comfortable, handles very predictably well, & soaks up road imperfections (potholes, expansion joints) with ease. While it isn't going to win any stop light drag races, I found the power adequate for merging and passing. It seems like a fantastic vehicle for a new driver.

Well that stinks. Bummer that they didn’t do an adductor canal block to ease the pain - can make them last 1.5-2 days if you add some decadron.
Hope you both get feeling better.

How did you guess? Lately I’ve set the DVR to record that show. I think I’ve seen all the black/white Perry Mason episodes at least twice already. I think I’m ready for color shows now.

HUH, is it even legal to sell a vehicle with over 400K miles?

The description says low mileage, so what's the problem?
Yeah and per the add, “50% lower than similar vehicles”.

Carfax is viewable in the ad listing.
The AutoCheck on that ad doesn’t show any oil changes until 230k miles and then 13 changes over the next 200k miles or 15k OCI.
It also shows 2 accidents.

Seems like a good overall package with a few oddball design elements but nothing totally unforgiveable (I think). With the good drive train 3.5T it's pushing in the $60-70K bracket. That's some mighty fine automobile company such as low mileage '20-'21 Macan Turbos
Biggest turnoff is I had some spare change time and drove to the Genesis dealership (not many of those around), and the manager said his salesforce was too busy for a test drive, and to come back another day/time. I think he was anticipating his sales guy grinding it out with someone as it seemed they were going back and forth. Huge turnoff. I feel like at the Porsche dealership they know the cars drive so well they just toss you the keys and go have at it without wasting my time (wait, that did happen). At Genesis...feel they are hiding a low budget driving experience..... Manager did not offer to toss me the keys; I prefer solo test drives personally.
My thoughts?
Do you need a super duty?
I’ll happily sell you my Sierra with 25% the miles for the same price.

However, I do believe @breld had a comment on the Genesis compared to Audi/BMW/MB, in that the interior materials of the Genesis were not quite the same quality as those of the German brands.
Since you have owned Audis, you might notice this more than the average shopper (I, for one, thought the interior was just fine in my test drive example).

I figured the 2.5T would be reasonable, likely very comparable to the Mazda CX-50 turbo I just drove. The Honda Passport felt dead in comparison. Maybe I'm getting too used to turbos and/or superchargers.
I went back and looked at the servicing of this beast. I never saw a vehicle that needed as much fuel system servicing as this thing. Might be why it’s being sold.
Sure fits the old Ford adage of Fix or Repair Daily.

Technician was pretty impressed with the condition of the unit. Everything is working exactly as expected, all we had to do was change the filter (which I had on hand).
$79 trip charge, and worth every penny for the piece of mind, especially since we've had 90+ temps for almost a week.

Miles don't matter much to me. I am thinking just having a rig that lives in Ohio for use while we're there. We have lots of projects lined up down there, so having something that can haul, pull, carry, or push might be very useful.
I actually miss our XC90. It was an excellent vehicle. Sat 7, quick, handled well for a barge and super comfortable.

There is something to be said for turbos that come in at low rpm (which is all the newer ones, as opposed to just the European manufacturers back in the '00s).
Here's a pic across the street from our unfinished first house.
Great car!

They have had a lot of A/C issues since they built that house. My theory is that a lot of it has to do with it being a 5-ton compressor, which is the maximum that you can run on single phase power, so the equipment is basically engineered on the bleeding edge.
