Hi, which dealership did you get this at in No Cal. I also live in No Cal. Can you please give me the terms again and what the payment is including tax and what down you put.

    Thanks
  • mrcoolguy209mrcoolguy209 Member Posts: 29
I bought it @ El Cerrito Honda. They are no longer doing the deal - they are now doing invoice. Call and ask for Sylvia or Jim Johnson in the internet department.

I got an offer for a C300 sport sedan - auto transmission, P2 package, Multimedia package, iPod integ kit.

All for $35,000 (tt&l not included)

Any thoughts - do you guys think I am getting a decent deal? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I may be totally off, but I believe that is $2200 less than invoice. Where did you get this deal and how far will it take for me to drive there from Houston? :P
  • aanandkaanandk Member Posts: 2
Cali. Yup it is over 2.2K under invoice. All I can say is that the market here is quite weak. Dealers were falling one over another to get me a good deal. Ditto for other cars I looked at - bmw328i and the lexus is250.

Hi All, I'm new to this forum and would like to seek help buying a C350. I live in Philadelphia and not sure if anyone here live in the same area. What kind of price should I expect? As I know there's a Summer deal that the dealers can sell at or even under invoice since there's a $1500 manufacturer rebate to the dealers. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance for all your inputs!
  • biker4biker4 Member Posts: 746
All the incentives available are listed right here at Edmunds. Looks like the 1500 is through the end of the month. Start e-mailing the local dealers and if you don't like the price you'll need to widen your search for a better deal.

The message re: El Cerrito Honda was for a Civic purchase.

The Benz was bought at Modesto European in Modesto, CA. Others willing to do the deal were Sacramento, Fremont and Stockton.

I just got my C300 Luxury a few weeks back at Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood. I shopped a lot, too much! Some dealers were easier to work with than others, and in the end I got similar prices from all of them -- that is really the only way I felt comfortable knowing I got the bottom line (you know how car salesmen can be!).

Anyway, I ran into the Internet Sales Manager there, who sold me the car. I guess he is really new, as he struck me right off with not knowing the answers to some of my initial questions, but what was cool, is that he took an extra minute and looked them up (sometimes he had to call or email me back a couple of times). In the end, I got all of the right answers! Even correcting a few incorrect things that I was told by other dealers. He was VERY straightforward, giving me information and pricing up front that took many emails and phone calls with other dealers in the Seattle area.

After asking a lot of questions, he gave me ONE price quote on the actual car that I wanted (!) that matched the figures of the other dealers. I never thought I would say this, but this is the first car dealer that I will look to exclusively when recommending and buying in the future.

He has done everything that he said, called me back every time I asked, fielded every question, even took my picture and emailed it to me when I bought the car!!!! I have always owned Honda in the past, and I’ll tell you buying a Mercedes is awesome!

    :-)

Can you tell me how many months and miles that your lease is for. Also, what your sales tax is. I'm trying to find a similar deal in the Atlanta area and having a tough time finding an aggressive dealer.
  • wsrabbitwsrabbit Member Posts: 3
12k a year and 39 months lease sales tax is %8.25

    Hi All,

Just picked up a new Palladium Silver C350, MM, P2, Pano Roof, Ipod, paid $42800 out the door (7% tax included). Is it a good price?

Like the car so much that we just jumped on the deal!

Just bought my wife a 2008 C300 4Matic Luxury - and paid significantly below invoice. Options included:
    Multimedia,
    iPod integration,
    Premium I, and
    Sport grill conversion.

Paid $39,300 on the road. This equates to about $36,600 for the car, options, metallic paint and delivery.

The guy who I worked with and does the Internet Sales at Mercedes-Benz of Lynnwood is Brian Boldt. He is the guy that I got my C-Class from. Even now several weeks later, he still calls and follows up with me. I have had a lot of questions about the BlurTooth, and he has helped me with everyone. When he sold me the car he was very new, but now he knows so much about how to operate the product, I have his number of speed dial. :-) I have gotten great deals in the past, but I have never been treated so nice after the fact as I have through Brian.

    I recommend him highly!

    I LOVE MY CAR!!!!!!!!

The last Mb I had was c230 sport and just drove the c350 sport. The interior alone is amazing with multimedia package, amg wheels etc.

Figures: List Price $43,340 (has 200 miles and some wear on tires)
Selling Price $37,500 - looks good but I wasn't sure if I they holding back anymore rebates. I think there is a $3500 from MB to dealer

Should I try and get them to throw in the invisible bra?
Plan on financing $37,500, how do avoid dealer screwing around with me on that end as I usually lease?
  • vinnynyvinnyny Member Posts: 764
$6K off sounds like a decent deal. One word of caution about the clear bra: I had a professionally installed 3M clear bra on my 05 C6 Vette and hated it. It became cloudy with swirl marks. I wouldn't get one again--just my opinion.

What type finance rate can I expect from MB?
  • leharloverleharlover Member Posts: 1
I was just given the following quote on a 2008 c300 4matic lux with premium 1 package, ipod, sport grill conversion:

36900 (including tax title license and destination.) That's about 33500 or so before tax. MSRP is 38000.

My question is, how much lower can I go? They say they've just gotten the '09 s in and want to blow out the 08 s.

BTW, I was also told that there are no special financing deals right now for this vehicle, and they would be between 6 and 6.5% on the interest rate.
  • jcf4jcf4 Member Posts: 44
Lower - at least on c350 - $43,500 down to $36,800. There is $3500 mfg to dealer on c350 and I think $2000 for c300 plus they have 1-3% hold back money (generally never touch as that pays the bills). No deal on rates 6-7%
  • vinnynyvinnyny Member Posts: 764
I wish I knew. They had special financing, but that was before they beefed up the factory-to-dealer cash by $2k. You might try posting your question on some of the other MB boards to see if anyone has insight...
  • weberckweberck Member Posts: 1
We purchased our c350 at the end of July from Mercedes of Lynnwood and got a one quote price. MSRP ~$43500 and paid $38800. They had the combination of $1500 cash to dealer as well as 3.9% financing. If you are able to get the same car for $36800 with 5.9% it is pretty much a wash with the higher interest. I still think either way it is a good price. You could try your local credit union to see if there is better financing available. I wish I would have waited a few more days.
  • jcf4jcf4 Member Posts: 44
While I ended up with following: $43,300 down to $37,200 (they would not go lower on price but reduced rate) plus 6.59 financing for 66 months which given average credit I wasn't displeased with. No prepayment penalty in NY so I will likley double up many payments.

Just purchased '08 C350 with P2 , Multimedia, panoramic roof, 19" AMG wheels, ipod integration - MSRP 44.500.

paid 37,900. plus tax and tags; 38,515. out the door

    Dear All,

I was given me a quote on a new 2009 MB C300 4matic, P2, MM, ipod, sports (no panoroof). for $41400, plus dealer fee($250), tax (7%), and L&T($350).

how good of a deal is this? Do I have any room to negotiate the price lower, say, between 38k-39k? This is my first time buying MB C300. I would appreciate your earliest input.

    Thanks, Chris (NJ)

Hi: am pricing the market for my Mother on an '08 C300 Sport Auto P1.
    Dealer is offering $31200 +TTL.

Is that a good deal for an '08 C300 non CA/TX/FL car?

    Any feedback would be appreciated!

    Thanks.

We have a C240 4WD for 4 years now. It worked like a dream until recently. On 8/11 it stalled and gave up and my dh had to be towed to the dealer. On 8/13 the dealer said that the catalytic converter had to be changed which they did and it was covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The same night as we were driving home we heard a knocking noise and took it back to the dealer the very next day. They called us on 8/15 and said they found water in the oil. The reason according to them was that our car ingested water after being driven in water. Which we didnt. And Insurance covers it so we need to involve them. Our insurance adjustor went there 8/18 and did not find any evidence of our car ingesting any water. Then after a week and a half of not doing anything the dealershp tells us today that we have a bent piston in the engine and it is not under warranty bcoz it has happened due to external influences and we can either pay $3750 and they shall open the engine and try to fix it or we can pay $9000 and get a new engine. We didnt expect this from a Mercedes benz dealer. Any advice on what we should do. Clearly the dealer was the last person to touch our car before the knocking noise started so why are we being penalized?

It sure sounds like they are giving you the run-around.. They said you'd ingested water... but, your insurance adjuster said there was no evidence of that... Now, it sounds like they are sticking with that story..

You should call MB USA to see if they can help you... I'd do it ASAP.

If you don't get satisfaction there, start looking for a lawyer... $9K is a lot of money!!

Also, please consider re-posting in this discussion: Mercedes-Benz C-Class Maintenance and Repair

    Good luck!

Just purchased a 2009 MB C300 Sport with auto trans and walnut trim. Pretty basic. Msrp was $348xx. And we paid $333xx. About 1400 less than MSRP. They didn't want to budge on the 09s. On the other hand, at another dealership they where willing to work plenty on the 08's, but why buy an 08, when its probably depreciated more than they are willing to discount.

The bluetooth on this car is awesome. Along with the rest of the vehicle, very well made.

    '08, C300 Sport, 7spAT, P1, Ipod = $32k OTD.
    Very Happy.
EXCEPT no split folding rear seats! This is the 21st century Merc, we shouldn't be forced to pay for that!

Just bought a C-350 at Phil Smart in Seattle, overall a great experience. They found the color and options I wanted and we worked out a deal I was happy with.

    Best car buying experience yet.

oh and by the way the 350 ROCKS! :shades:

Its a good deal. Avoid other costly options such as Premium P. Its nothing but a trap for jacking the prices. Stick to the basics...
  • techmaventechmaven Member Posts: 6
The 09 base price is 31.600...so you can go down at least $1500- $2000.
  • techmaventechmaven Member Posts: 6
You have paid way too much...why pay for the P1 that cost extra $6000? Could've installed the best Nav (around $700) satellite radio, and all from Best Buy or circuit city...P1 is nothing but a trap to jack up the price.
  • techmaventechmaven Member Posts: 6
Your credit score will decide the rate...not the MB!
  • techmaventechmaven Member Posts: 6
You can always get it under the invoice price. Watch out for options/packages/extended warranties...you dont need any of these. Stick to the basics.
