Thanks @kyfdx ! This is my first time leasing. I just got an internet quote for the 2015 Mazda 6 Touring (Automatic) for $23,945 and the MSRP was $27,015. Is this enough information to give me an idea of what I would be paying?

Thanks @kyfdx ! This is my first time leasing. I just got an internet quote for the 2015 Mazda 6 Touring (Automatic) for $23,945 and the MSRP was $27,015. Is this enough information to give me an idea of what I would be paying?

With that MSRP and selling price, the payment would be about $253/mo+tax. You would still need to account for the acquisition fee, title/license/doc fees, and tax.

MF in Oregon is .00029. Residuals are the same, but add 1% for 10K/yr

When I run the numbers on the first deal, I get a pre-tax payment of $300.42 - 9% (?) tax takes it to $327.46. If they are adding the up front costs to the cap cost, that would add about $28/mo to the payment, so their quote is about right.

Deal #2 gets me a payment of $261.01/mo pre-tax and $281.51 after.

However, the residual value for the 2015 6 Sport Auto for 36/12 is 57%, so I'm not sure why you're being quoted 55% from dealer 1.

Can't tell you if you can get a better price - use the pricing tools at the top of the page to assist.

Actually I made a mistake. These quotes were from one dealer. The first quote is for a touring model and the second quote is for a sport.

I was able to get the dealer to drop the sales price down to $23495 for the touring. @michaell what does that break down to for my monthly lease payment.

$1200 lease cash on the 6 this month.

Lease cash is like a rebate - can be used to lower the cap cost of the car or it can be used to cover the up front fees, taxes, etc.

The residual is 54%, but I don't have the money factor for Illinois. There is $1200 in lease support on this model.

MF is only good for WI. IL is likely higher (though I don't know the number)

When you get the new numbers (I saw you said later this week), could you give me the MF and residual for a 2015 Mazda 6 Sport, 36 months, 45k miles?

I got a good offer for a similar lease in November, but didn't pull the trigger. Seemed almost too good to be true ($2k due at signing including all tax and fees, $219 per month including tax).

Went to Mazda dealer last night (South Fla.) and they are still quoting the 54% residual and .00003 money factor on a 2015 touring (which they said were the new numbers). They gave me a price of $275.03 (tax in) with no money down on a 36/12 lease. Sound good?

I'm getting $246.05/mo before tax. To get to $275/mo, the tax rate would be around 11-12%.

Something isn't adding up.

My numbers match yours (well, I'm getting 65 cents instead of 66, but still....).

Only way to improve on it is to get a lower selling price.
