New to leasing. Did test drives and vehicle research and looking at Mazda 6 Touring with remote start and fog lamps.

Going with no cash down option and the monthly payment is $330 plus they will add in the NSD Complete Titanium Plus

Is this good, fair, or poor lease deal?

I am in NJ, the lease term is 36 months at 12k miles per year.

MSRP going by Edmunds build page (Touring model plus remote start and fog lights) is $25,840.00).

Dealer said my price with tax is $25,358.79 and after three years I could buy the car for $13,307.22.

NSD Complete Titanium Plus is after market protection plan for tire, windshield, battery. Those kinds of things my insurance plan already has but it also have dent and ding protection and loss of keys. He is the link to that plan.

51% and .00032 for automatic. Subtract 3% for manual. $1750 lease cash.

Higher residuals, but probably also higher MF to offset.

Thanks Michael! I just came from the dealership and walked away. They offered me a .00079 and 50% residual. They also magically increased the cost of the car $4k above the Internet price. We were so far apart that I just didn't think the exercise was worth it.

The mrs and I are considering a 2015 Mazda 6 touring manual transmission in MI. Thinking 36 mo and either 10k or 15k mile lease. Can you please provide the current residual% and MF for these in MI? Do the options change the residual at all? How does great credit come into play for the MF? Thanks in advance!!

36/15 numbers - 48% and .00001. $1750 lease cash.

Add 2% for 10K miles per year.

The MF we cite is for top tier credit - you can't do any better.

Touring - 53% and .00001

$1500 lease cash - lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive that can be used to either bring down the cap cost of the car (similar to a rebate) or to offset the up front costs of a lease (first payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee, etc.)

Can someone please help me understand how this info helps? I used the info to call dealerships all over and the numbers they give are much higher. As an example:

Someone offered me the sport for 20,250 instead of MSRP of $24,000. I agreed to pay all fees and tax up front, so only the cost of the car should be in lease. I used the formula with the MF and residual given here and get around $190 a month (NJ, 36/10k). They quote me $275+. When I confront them with MF and residual info they ignore it. Why?? What am I missing? Are they all just deceitful sharks?

Yeah... I get about $196/mo, using your numbers..

If you want to get specific about numbers, you'll have to find a dealer that is willing to discuss the numbers. If they blow you off, find another dealer.
