On another site there are a ton of old(and young) codgers who tend to pounce on anyone considering the purchase of an entertaining car. I think they believe that since they are condemned to driving soul-crushing appliances then everyone else should have to as well...

Was Don Yenko into running franchised dealers? My first car, a Honda Accord, was bought at the now defunct Yenko Honda here in Pittsburgh in 1999.

Reliability and cost to repair is high, from what I recall. Also, out of price range.

I need an easier way to kick over my Triumph motorcycle. My leg is really getting sore. It's a younger man's game.

I'm thinking that a compression release might help. We built this engine too tight I think.

My understanding is that someone leased the name. There weren't and Yenko family members involved with the Honda dealership. Don died in a plane crash in, I think, 1987. There was one in Canonsburg too I think. I really don't know all the involvements - just that whoever put those stripes on the car in that picture should be slapped.

The one in Canonsburg is the one, I grew up not too far from there. At some point the name changed to South Hills Honda, they built a new showroom and tore down the old. An unaffiliated Acura franchise then set up shop in a brand new showroom right next door.

So with buyer's premium that Cobra is $1,000,045, and a nice one costs maybe 1.3, so yeah, not a "steal" but a bid you could at least come out on someday. It depends really on what you do with it. On a car like this, you either leave it pretty much alone, or you go full-bore. I would choose a "light refresh" and just show it as is and drive the hell out of it. It's a beast, anyway, not a nicey-nice touring car.

I don't know enough about photography to say that pic was photo shopped. All I know is when I see something that looks nice I know it and that pic had one of those.

I should know more about photography since I had a few co-workers back in the 70's that were heavily into the photography thingy. They had some expensive Canon and Minolta cameras and tried to teach me but I could not be convinced to pay that much for a camera.

I think this is where my wannabe days got started, I had a Kodak Instamatic 104.

I'll sign that petition. BTW Driver we may be in your neck of the woods come June. She who must be obeyed wants to go to Ontario so we are thinking of seeing some small unknown waterfall between two big lakes and spend a little time in Toronto. We are still in the planning stage.
