I need an easier way to kick over my Triumph motorcycle. My leg is really getting sore. It's a younger man's game.

I'm thinking that a compression release might help. We built this engine too tight I think.

Keeping your weight down gets harder as you age. I'm at a good weight, but that's not the entire problem. As you age, you lose muscle mass so you have to keep moving, keep active.

Age 40-ish is a good time to get control of that!

I thought I was gaining weight because of fat changing to heavier muscles!!!! :@
Better be careful. Remember that pile of polo shirts with horizontal stripes that you have. ;)
Will you never let that man live that down? :s
Yeh, once it goes out on the internet you can't take it back......unfortunately.

    Maybe everyone will forget it if I send my Halloween costume for next October;

That Batman pic has always fascinated me. It is one of those pics where you can see two different things. One is the Batman sign, but if you picture the yellow parts as teeth and the black part as an open mouth with two teeth on top and two on the bottom. Another classic from driver !!
You have a wild and weird imagination houdini....that's OK, we need all types. I do see what you mean though.

OF, your math is correct. I am 58 and will be soon 59 in early May. Yes, we were all blind sided by the announcement of the closing of our and several other offices. The parent company continuously gave us positive vibes and held team building events. Seems the state where the company is headquartered enticed the company with a huge tax break to expand their presence there. Thanks for the kind thoughts. Will make the best of it but am not looking forward to searching for a new job.

That sucks, Steve, no other way to put it. Hope the breaks fall your way in the search.

First the Pats, now the UConn women. I fear the sun is setting on two dynasties.

While I'd preferred the Pats had won #6 this past February, all year the D seemed to me to be a house of cards. SB/Eagles validated that theory! And deflated my hopes...

Sorry to interrupt, I was wondering about a car thing. GM won't report on monthly sales numbers anymore, and Ford is considering doing the same......just report quarterly. Tesla has been doing it this way. They say monthly sales vary too much because of outside factors...like weather, blip in economy etc.

Do you think that it is true or is it for some other reason.

If their stock holders would put up with it, they would only report their numbers once a year. Why would they report bad numbers more often than they can get away with?

This doesn't only apply to GM.

You have a good memory Marco. I like your bright cheery posts in the morning...they start my day off with a smile. We get picked up by the shuttle at 9:30......flight is at 12:30, home around 5. 80+ here, going to 34F, and possible wind gusts to 80 mph.

Unfortunately we are only allowed to stay in your beautiful....warm and sunny country for a total of 6 months in a year. There are people working on getting it extended to 7 months. Maybe if you guys signed a petition.........
I'll sign that petition. BTW Driver we may be in your neck of the woods come June. She who must be obeyed wants to go to Ontario so we are thinking of seeing some small unknown waterfall between two big lakes and spend a little time in Toronto. We are still in the planning stage.

The company I worked for the last dozen years before I retired was no GM - we did $600 million/yr in sales - and we only reported quarterly. I suspect most companies do it that way. I can well imagine the headaches doing it monthly.

I was watching the first round of the Masters Tournament on ESPN this afternoon and became totally mesmerized by Jordan Spieth.  He birdied 5 holes in a row on the back nine - a true phenom in the world of golf.

I have tickets for Saturday and Sunday for the Players Championship (May 12th and May 13th) at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach.  Looking forward to seeing Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy live and in person.  I am amazed at how well these guys play golf.

I need an easier way to kick over my Triumph motorcycle. My leg is really getting sore. It's a younger man's game. I'm thinking that a compression release might help. We built this engine too tight I think.
You could always trade that Triumph in for a scooter, just step through no throwing a leg over.

The flu shot I got this year has not been very effective in protecting me - but this too shall pass.

I have become a little skeptical when this stuff goes on. Sales numbers are not hard to get, you press a computer key and you have the numbers.

Someone has decided there isn't much too gain, but lots to lose by publishing numbers monthly.

It is their call, but my experience is they don't do these things without a reason.

Seeing that the 7th was armed with single shot trap door Springfield rifles 17 years after the repeating rifle wad invented I would say they weren't the best in the West.
My point exactly. Aging rifles, aging quarterback. :p
I have always been amazed that in the 2nd half of the 19th century most of the world's armies dropped the ball when it came to adopting modern technology for the infantryman. Mainly their insistence on arming them with single shot breach loading rifles. The repeating rifle was invented in the late 1850's yet major world armies were using single shot weapons til around 1900.
