Best SB in a while! And let's face it, Philly needed a break.
We didn't need a break. We were just better.
Yup. Outplayed and outcoached. And, as I've noted before, if you're a football fan, you want the Pats in the SB every year. Win or lose, it's always an entertaining game (e.g. helmet catches, ballet catches, end zone interceptions, game winning filed goals, passing for 500 yards...and losing!).

Armies are not run by the sharpest tools in the toolbox. Whenever you get brass hats who deal mostly in drawing room strategy, and then for some reason they get a bug to try and run things on the localized tactical level, you're going to have a Little Bighorn party. Or you get sent to war in a Sherman tank.
Man, what a let down. Just when I had myself convinced that I should switch brands, I find out I'm with the front runner. More reliability, less expense and now styling. Some things should remain confidential on this site .

That's known as an improvement. It's not who does it first, it's who improves it the best. In other words, if you're going to copy, make sure you get it right.

I suppose we've also seen this in football!
The thing about using single shot rifles was that the top brass was worried that troops would waste ammo if they had repeating rifles. Because of that you get things like Little Big Horn where your army with single shot rifles are going against repeater rifles. Or things like Isandlwana where you don't have the fire power to repulse large numbers of men with spears (you get to shoot a couple of times then use your rifle as a club).
The thing about the Sherman tank was that during WWII the idea was that tanks would not engage other tanks. They had tank destroyers that were supposed to engage tanks, these were specialized armored vehicles designed to take out tanks. The problem was that tanks were deployed front lines and came against other tanks and had to be withdrawn and the tank destroyers brought up. This meant that tanks went up against tanks more often than they wanted. After WWII they went to multi purpose tanks.

And Sonata stole their racy but dull roofline from the CLS which was introduced in 2005, or various Audis going back 20 years, take your pick. Hyunkia hired Schreyer to give their cars a desperately needed departure from their KDM flair, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

I'm jealous. Just found out the guy at the mom and pop pizza place owns a C7 Corvette.
Gotta learn how to make pizza.
I prefer eating pizza as opposed to making pizza.
I'd give up eating pizza for a C7. And Mitchell was right, it's the owner's but this place is a hole in the wall operation so now I'm wondering if there's a gambling parlor in the back.

I was watching the first round of the Masters Tournament on ESPN this afternoon and became totally mesmerized by Jordan Spieth. He birdied 5 holes in a row on the back nine - a true phenom in the world of golf.
I have tickets for Saturday and Sunday for the Players Championship (May 12th and May 13th) at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. Looking forward to seeing Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy live and in person. I am amazed at how well these guys play golf.
@abacomike, just could't resist: Reed has Tiger by the tail.
In a sports related story, 23 year old all-rounder and rookie sensation Shohei Ohtani has hit home runs in 3 consecutive games and has won his first pitching game. Ohtani was profiled on 60 Minutes last year and he was compared favorably to Babe Ruth.
So far he has not disappointed but I hope the As will not burn him out pitching too many innings or playing in too many games.
Got a call from the dealership in West Palm Beach where I got my S450. It seems they just sold my 2017 BMW 740i (the trade-in) but are having trouble getting the title reissued to the new owner. It seems they need a signed affidavit from the previous owner attesting to the fact that the BMW did not sustain any hurricane damage during Irma last September.
So I am going to drive up there this morning to sign the affidavit - but before doing so, I am going to read that document very, very carefully. Unless it states that prior to November 10, 2017 (date I traded the car) and only while I owned the vehicle, the car did not sustain any damage due to Hurricane Irma, to the best of my knowledge. I sure don’t want anyone coming after me if the car was damaged prior to my ownership or after I traded the car in to the Mercedes dealership.
If the document does not state the above, either they add it as an addendum to the disclosure or I will refuse to sign it. Got to be so careful these days due to the litigious nature of our society.

I happened to turn on the Angels game the other night when he was the DH and hit a 3-run homer. His swing doesn't look like a power hitter's swing and in fact looks a lot like Ichiro's foot-in-the-bucket slap swing, but he generates a lot of power.

I'm not picking on you but I have an opinion about what you have said.
Baseball is a business, a cutthroat business at that. Therefore, the owner will do what is best for his pocket and winning and in that order. Arms and bats are made to be used. You have to use an arm while there is still meat on it before it turns to useless fat. Bats will break and wear out when they get old. It is better to get rid of a player a year too early than to pay him to sit on the bench for a year or two after he is used up.
Like it or not that is the real world of baseball and of all professional sports.
Comparing him to Babe Ruth is laughable but it is typical of the talking heads that report on the games today. The kid hasn't even finished one year of pro ball and the comparison has already started. Talk is, like they say, "cheap".

Just like the media declaring Tiger the favorite for the Masters a few weeks ago. It is obvious that the Valspar is not Augusta National, but the media is about clicks and ratings more than ever.

That's interesting Mike. Does that apply to all cars sold in Florida or just when dealers are involved. I'd feel better buying a private sale vehicle if it came with an affidavit of that type.

Read carefully Mike, you got nothing to gain and something to possibly lose. In a way, I don't blame the new buyer of wanting it guaranteed. Isn't Nov 10 to early April a long time for a car to sell, though I doubt it would be an easy sell....has to have just the right buyer shopping at an MB dealer?
I will say, when we traded in our 2008 BMW for a 2013 Audi A4 the Audi dealer said they could give us more for the BMW than the BMW dealer because the BMW dealer would have to go over it carefully and then sell it as a CPO with a warranty. The Audi dealer said all he had to do was wash it and put it on his lot.
By all means read it carefully. If something weird happens, and lawsuits fly, they often drag EVERYBODY into it, even if your liability is very remote.

This sounds like it is a problem for the dealer to solve. Like @driver100 said, there isn't anything good that can come out of this for you. On top of that, why should you be the one that has to do the running? If I would do it and that is a big IF, unless you want to go for a drive, they would be coming to my place.

I don't know anything about the kid other than what I have heard. I haven't see him throw or hit. Ask me in 4 or 5 years and I'll know more, just like the experts that predict. However, for the sake of the game, it would be nice to have a talent like he is claimed to possess.

I am also very surprised that they had Mikes old car for as long as they did. Mike must have beat the hell out of them when he traded it in. Then again, maybe it sold quick but the title issue is just now surfacing. Like you and I and Shifty have said, nothing too good can come out of this for Mike.
Now about your 2008 BMW. I didn't know that dealers would CPO a 5 year old car. And if so, there is no law that says they HAVE to do it, like you said in your post ("...the BMW dealer would have to go over it carefully and then sell it as a CPO with a warranty"). Just be satisfied with the better deal you got from the Audi dealer and consider what he said as dealer fluff.
