and why in the world did they decide to have the hood cut into the fenders like that? That very well may be the ugliest production Benz I have ever seen.
Could it be that they are expecting strut problems. Less time to replace when you can get at them better. There’s always a reason.

Definitely an "I'm electric, look at me" thing going on, just like with the 4 elongated egg Tesla designs. Apparently this shape has an amazing drag coefficient, but I would rather it look like a normal E - however, this will probably make it sell. I am sure there will be a slightly longer wheelbase variant for affluent CCP types.
Regarding the G, it doesn't really have styling, especially the older one that was posted - same thing for decades, a utility vehicle originally intended for military and farmers etc.
I thought the same thing. and why in the world did they decide to have the hood cut into the fenders like that? That very well may be the ugliest production Benz I have ever seen.
It's an electric vehicle after all. And perhaps the China market has a big influence on design and aesthetics. For some reason most BEVs use the Prius as their guiding principle: make their vehicles different, ugly, and price it high to exude a futuristic aura of minimalism and environmentalism.

Negative points because they didn't mention what he was driving!
And remember, the Solomon curve only applies when there's other traffic to have a speed differential with; no other traffic equals no speed differentials.
From the article it would seem that there was plenty of traffic on the road.
I’d agree that with more than 50 traffic stops recorded, there may have been a bit of traffic

I would say it would be around 20 minutes or so from pulling out to pull someone over to setting up again. The variable is how long it will take for someone to speed by fast enough to warrant being pulled over. I would say about 2 an hour would be the average. Then consider that unless it's a serious offense you have a slightly less than 50% chance of a warning I would say that there had to be at least 5 officers or the 50 tickets were over the whole three day weekend.

Update on my side effects from the vaccines I had this morning:
I feel very achy - like I have a mild case of the flu. It started at about 1:30 PM (had vaccines at 9:30 AM) and my legs and arm muscles are painful. I am going to take some Tylenol and hope the malaise subsides a bit. Taking both the flu and the Pfizer booster shot at the same time might be contributing to this.
I had no side effects when I took the first two Pfizer vaccines in January. 😩😩😩
Hang in there Mike! Good choice getting both of those. I'm going to try to get a booster when and if I'm eligible.
Meanwhile I should try to get a flu shot. Every days seems like there's a reason not to. Part of it is that my spouse wants to do it with me, but if we coordinate seems to take longer.
we always get ours when the county has their free clinics set up. Usually I think we end up going in October. I don't like to go too early, to make sure the protection doesn't run out!

Received both the annual flu vaccine and my first dose of shingles vaccine, today.
I need to get the shingles vaccine this year. Not sure why my GP (who just retired) never sent me for it before. I think he was still working off the age 60 recommendation, though I hit that milestone next B'day, so either way, it is time!

This year, it's free, through most group health plans.
I got my seasonal flu shot at Kroger at the beginning of August. I checked to be sure they had the over 65 version of the shot and had no noticeable reaction. I think they gave me a dummy shot: nothing in it. Or maybe just pickle juice left over from their pickleball tournament they sponsored.

The SiriusXM trial on my '15 Cruze ran out last evening on the way to a cruise-in. This morning I logged back in and did CHAT with the SiriusXM crew to add the radio to my account with the $60 for 12 month package.
I had gotten thoroughly addicted to sitting with my morning coffee in the car listening to Soultown and Yacht Rock music and a couple of morning talk shows on cable carried on XM. I couldn't find a way to add the radio online because the system only offered a 6 month signup for $30 or another package I didn't want.
At least on chat, I could listen to George Michael and Elton John "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" and other great songs like Boz Scaggs "Georgia" on my computer while waiting.
I wonder how Chat clients the representative was handling at one time? 4? There are long pauses just like on the phone calls where I'm sure they're talking to other callers.
When I signed the papers for my recent flu shot, one of the questions was if I'd had any other vaccination in the last 14 days or some period of time like that. I took that to suggest they don't want to overlap vaccinations. Maybe it's okay to double up on certain ones.

@Mike, I read somewhere that the original formula for the Pfizer vaccine was the weakest possible. Pfizer did that to minimize side effects and adverse reactions. So for the booster shot they may have increased the dosage, and as result increased side effects...(This however is pure speculation on my part). Your achy feeling could be your body's reaction to an immunocompromised immune system.
I had a chance to exercise the 2er a bit today; I was on my way home from a seminar on impaired driving prosecutions and I decided to take a more circuitous route. I have to say that I really like being able to switch into attack mode by pushing the mode button and slotting the shift lever into the Sport/Manual gate. I floored it away from a light and once the tires hooked up the ZF 8HP shifted almost like the revered "bang-screech" TH400 in my friend's 1970 LS6 Chevelle(which he still owns).

Not at all unusual for an inspector to find issues with any house that has some age to it. Usually, if it is a wear-and-tear thing or an obsolete whatever, you try to reach some sort of compromise instead of demanding it be totally replaced. In my case I remember there were two issues and we agreed the seller would cover one and I would cover the other.
The second shingrix shot got a good reaction from my body when I took it. I didn't expect it because the first shot had very little effect.
It's brave taking both the regular flu shot and the covid flu shots together...
Definitely extra sore at injection site for shingrix. (unusual for me, but expected) No effect for the 12 hours I was up, after the injection, yesterday. But, when I went to bed, my head was swimming a little. Fine, this morning.
It seems most people have negative reactions to shingrix. But, I've heard horror stories from those who've had shingles. Worth the trade-off, to me.
I've never had a reaction to the flu vaccine, so no issues there.
is shingles shot like the Flu, where you can just walk in anywhere they give it? Or do you need a doctor note to get it?
Kroger pharmacy requires appointments, right now. Mostly because of giving COVID vax. But, the appointment list was wide open. I booked appointment for the next day.
Cigna administers my insurance plan, and they said shingles vax is considered essential, now, and there is no co-pay. But, I'd check first.
When I signed the papers for my recent flu shot, one of the questions was if I'd had any other vaccination in the last 14 days or some period of time like that. I took that to suggest they don't want to overlap vaccinations. Maybe it's okay to double up on certain ones.
There is definitely a list. They don't want to give any vax, along with COVID vax.
But, any non-live vax can be given together. Kroger limits you to three at one time. I checked the GSK website, and it confirmed that flu/shingrix could be given at the same time.

Same with us. We had an approval very quickly. The problem was getting the condo approved. The underwriter thought we were buying in some large complex when in fact it was a small 6 unit building.
It seems like whenever you call a customer service line, even if unrelated to banking, you get the dreaded message, “we are experiencing a higher than usual call volume so wait times will be longer…”. These sometimes are based on the “Covid crisis” but it just amazes me that this is so wide spread.

SC apparently works differently than NJ when it comes to title work. The lawyer takes care of it rather than a specific title company. Anyway, I'm thinking that might be the holdup for us in the end. When we were first put in contact with the lawyer, we were assigned a "Real Estate Opener" and instructed to filter everything through her. I let her know when the inspection was done and she said "Great!" I have heard absolutely nothing from her otherwise. So I emailed last night to make sure the title search was in progress. This Opener replied that we've been assigned an Opener and here is her contact info. Oh boy.
