The dealer is marking up the money factor and it is not a great deal. I'm paying less than $600 (with MSDs) for a 535 which listed for over $66,000.00. Run away from that dealer!!

Is the acquisition fee $925 now? I was trying to lease a 535i last year and it was $725.

Yes, the acquisition fee is now $925 - but, the dealer is not allowed to mark it up, as they were able to in the past.

And you doubted me when I said they were going up to $925.00 with no mark up.

    Hello,

Do you have lease numbers for 2015 535d x drive? 10,000 miles/36 months? Are there any incentives? Also, do you think it's possible to get 15% off of the car before incentives?

    Thanks!

Hello. What do you think of this deal I was quoted today, Sept. 1st. Car has Cold Weather, Premium, Harmon Kardon and rear view camera.

    2015 528i x drive
    36 mos./ 12k
    MSRP: 60220
    Selling Price: 53500
    Residual: 63%

Total Payment with NY Tax rolled in: $621
    Total Out of Pocket: 2020. (995 acq + 1st mo $621 + DMV(new plates required) $404).

From my calculations, I get a pretax payment of $551.13 and with NY tax rolled in at 8.375% I get a payment of $597.10. Looks like they are marking up the MF but I wanted to know if I could get more off of MSRP? What do you think?

Almost 10% off sticker seems pretty good, but I've never shopped in that price range.

I get a payment only pennies (well, a dime, a nickel and four pennies) different than yours. My guess is that the MF is marked up, as you suspect.

My sale price included the $1500 buildout that was offered last month. Dealer basically told me they are selling car at a loss to hit their month end number..who knows if that was true, but I shopped almost all other Southern California dealers and no one else could come close to this deal.

    Anyone, I need help!
    1. What would be a good percentage off in MRSP for a 2015 535i M- sport?
    2. And would it be plus incentives or or just that percent off MRSP?
I have a dealer trying to tell me it's all rolled in the together ?

Usually 5-7% off sticker before incentives.

Its in the dealers best interest to roll it together to confuse the buyer.

I was able to make a deal on the car today! I think it was fairly reasonable but let me know your thoughts. Also, opted for a cheaper car (no Harmon Kardon) as I did not want to wait another week or so for them to get the car shipped in from a different dealer.

528i x drive, Black with Cinnamon Brown Dakota Leather, Cold Weather Package, Premium Package, Multi Contour Seats, Rear Cam. 36 mos/ 12k

    MSRP 59,910
Selling Price: 52,649 (7,291 or 12% off MSRP) - including the build out of 2k this month.
    Residual: 62%
    MF: .0013
Monthly: $600 even with NY tax at 8.375% rolled in.
Total Out of Pocket: 1,999 (600 1st mo + 925 acq. fee + 260 DMV (new plates needed) + 214 NY Tire Tax, Tax on Acq Fee, Gas, Doc Fee of 75)

From my calculations I get a pretax payment of $547 and after tax of $593. I'm essentially paying 7/mo over my calculations which to me was fine and would only come out to $252 assuming I don't go back and end the lease early during a pull ahead program, etc. Overall, pleased with my deal. This deal was made in the tri-state area in case anyone was wondering. Also, in my initial post I posted an MSRP of 60220 which was actually 60880 but nonetheless the dealer was not far from using the base MF and residual. On this deal, I ensured he used the true numbers and did not mark up.

    What are your thoughts?

    Actually, that's pretty complete information.
You are getting the base MF of .0013 and the residual is correct for 36/10 at 62%.
$9000+ off MSRP is very good. The calculations are correct to the penny.

I don't really see the need to put $5000 upfront. You could cut that to $2000, and it would raise your payment to $616/mo.+tax or about $665/mo. (with $3000 less upfront).

Looks like a very good deal.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm going in Thursday to see what I can do. Will keep you all posted!

The numbers appear to be correct. I agree.. about $7/mo. off, but close enough.. Congrats!

Greetings, Can someone please confirm the numbers for this 36 month/10k/2015 535xi lease is correct: 1.30MF; max 7 MSDs for a total 0.49 MF reduction; $1,500 BMWFS build-out cash; $1,000 team USA credit. Are there other incentives out there for 2015 535xi leasing?

.00130 MF and 64% residual. $1500 buildout cash. 7 MSDs would lower the base MF to .00081

    .00130 and 63% for 36/12. Add 1% for 10K. $1500 build out cash available.

Correct me if I'm wrong, All gas 5 series in August were 64% with a $1500 build out cash and this month they are 63% with a $2000 build out cash.

I was at a Dealership ready to do a lease the payment they gave me was 749 i started to leave and they offered it to me for 660 with msd and other fees, the taxes were rolled in to lease.  Not sure what the purchase price was or the residual.  But does that sound like a good deal it's a 535 m sport with some packages in to.  It was like close to 70k.  I told them thank u bit I want to be a lil lower like in low 6's.

Don't negotiate the payment, negotiate the selling price and ensure the dealer doesn't mark up the MF on you. Without know the numbers, it's hard for us to tell you if your deal is good, bad or ugly.

From a leasing perspective (given I just leased a 528xi last week- please see above post), this is a solid price. I was trying to get one with driver assistance but it was hard to come by at the dealer I leased from in NY and I didn't want to wait for them to bring it in from another dealer. 53k for a car with driver assistance and premium package is around 10-11% off MSRP which is pretty solid in my opinion if this is a lease. From a purchase perspective not sure.
