Is BMW supporting terms longer than 36 months on leases for a 528? If so, do you have the money factors and residuals for those terms assuming 12k per year? Thanks.

There are numbers, but they are a lot worse. Sweet spot is 36 months.

Trading in from another lease ($30K flat allowance and owe $33,615 on payoff).

36M/12K was quoted:

$771/mo (inc sales tax) with $3000 up front cash

Good deal? Any advice much appreciated.

Would need to know the selling price on the new one to calculate a payment. $100/mo.+tax of the payment quoted is for your negative equity.

But, you have $3000 upfront. 1st payment, $925 acq.fee, $500 title/registration?

The monthly seems high. Also, considering the $2000 incentive, the selling price is just okay.

I am looking for some help with the Owner's Choice program as an alternative to a lease. I am in Georgia and OC has been recommended due to the way my state taxes leases. The catch is that I cannot determine a fair interest rate for OC. It is (relatively) easy to find the base money factor for a lease and see how much the dealer is attempting to mark it up. I cannot find this information for OC. Is it the same base interest rate as the MF for a lease? Is there a separate interest rate? If so, is there a base rate that the dealer can then mark up? Thanks.

The base rate for OC is 3.25% APR, which is roughly equivalent to the base MF of .00134 on a lease.

As in the money factor, the dealer can mark up the APR on OC by 1%.

Thank you. One more question: I am being told that the USAA discount is not applicable to 2015 models because all dealers must report 2015 cars as "sold." Is that accurate?

Don't know - have you checked with multiple BMW dealers to see if they all agree with that statement?

Trying that now. It seems suspicious. If they are selling the car as new, then the discount should be available.

Yep, and marking cars as "sold" when they are still on the lot is illegal.

He says any outside incentives cannot be applied to "counted" units. I have no idea if that is correct. It would be interesting to see if anyone else has been able to use the USAA discount on a 2015 5 Series.

I just called my BMW dealer here in Colorado .. got a slightly different story. The USAA discount is something like $500, and cannot be "stacked" with the existing $2000 incentive from BMW.

Not sure if that clears everything up or not. Perhaps my co-host - who has BMW's in his stable - can weigh in on this as well.

No clue what they are talking about.. If they won't give you the USAA discount, there isn't much you can do.
