What is the selling price?
35/12 numbers on the 528xi are .00129 and 63%.
52650 is the selling price
I show $555.05/mo pre-tax; depending on your tax rate, $599 could be right in the ballpark.
Just closed deal on 535i after reading and understanding leasing here. 535i Sedan RWD with M-Sport, Premier, Dynamic Handling, Driver assist and Plus, HK surround, Heated seats MSRP $71525 Selling Price $64325 Additional down $2500 and put also max MSD Doc Fee 80 and acquisition fee $995. 12K / 36 months Payments $600 + tax I was told MF was 0.00142 and later dropped to 0.00120 after good credit and MSDs
Is it a good deal ? Please confirm that math is good on monthly payments

Sort of a song and dance about the money factor.... the base MF is .00129 and with 7 MSDs, it would be .00080. At .00120, it is marked up the maximum. Acquisition fee is also marked up $200.
What is the amount of cash due at signing? (because the payments still look very reasonable).
Thanks for your reply. Residual was 63%. My money factor based on the rent charge is 0.00100 !! Actually MSD was $4900 + $ 2500 + $654 (1st payment) + Registration + Cap cost taxes etc.. = $8931 Looks like they have charge me one extra MSD. I think if MF was 0.00080, then it should cut the payment by another $20/month.

Can someone provide the April Money Factor and residual for the 2015 228i coupe with 12K miles? Also - are there any sales support programs this month offering any type of customer cash or incentive? Thank you!

The only information I have at the moment is for 36/10 - .00130 and 62%
I wanted to throw something out here - I don't know if it has been addressed before, but if it has, I haven't seen it. I ordered my shiny new 2015 5 series this week. Kyfdx essentially blessed the deal earlier in March, and the plan was to order at the tail of the month, lock in March, production should take place in April, and with luck shipping wouldn't get the car here until May - so I'd have my pick of 3 months' programs!!!! It gets even better. Because I ordered Dark Sycamore Red Trim, that requires a special build slot - so it may not even be built in April, and that can push me to June. I have a spare car, so this couldn't have worked out any better. So, my thought? I wanted that $1k option. on a lease it will cost me roughly $400 anyway (over 3 years, so who cares?) - but for that $400, I may save somewhat more with better programs and incentives. Moral of the story? if you like either of the (I think two?) special build trims, and you order with that trim, it may take longer (if you can wait) and you may then get your pick of programs. BTW, if anyone is interested, my MSRP is about $70k, and I'm paying $667 with the MSDs (my prior MSDs were $5,600, so I'm actually getting $700 back). I don't see how I could have/can do much better, but let's see if MFs decrease or residuals increase, or if there is any cash back. Folks had previously called my 2012 5 a james bond car (it was pretty well loaded) - the new one will ALSO have nightvision and the adaptive cruise control. Yippee!
@iamgarygnu; that sounds like an amazing build! Would you care to expand the logistics of how this type of order allows access to any of the month's lease specials? Most of the advertisements state you have to take delivery within the 'window' of the promotion, so I'm curious how you would leverage the best of the three months' deals in this situation? Can't the dealer only submit an application using prevailing information for that timeperiod?

last time I ordered, and this time, the dealership said I would get the advantage of the best program available while I'm waiting for delivery. I don't know if I have to "lock in" in some manner. my intention is that if the april deals are better, I press them, and get the dealership to agree. and then with may, and june, well, rinse and repeat. over the years, I've seen innovation credits and other nonsense, however for January through march, I think they just had a decent residual and MF, but no throw ins. I doubt i'll ultimately get more than $20 or $30 a month off so it likely won't be a big deal either way, and again, I less. if it was a purchase, I think savings would work out to be more substantial - i.e. $3,500 off a purchase on a lease is only what, about ROUGHLY $35/month which equals about $1,297 or so - whereas $3,500 saved on a purchase...is $3,500.
A little off topic but thought someone might be able to give some advice.
The good news is I found the exact 2015 550i I want. The only problem is I live in Georgia, the car is at a dealership in Charlotte, NC. With the change in our ad valorem tax, I prefer to use the Owners Choice program instead of leasing, so I'm assuming I technically need to buy it from a dealer in Georgia. Any thoughts on how to make that happen? Do I deal with the NC dealership, or a GA one?
I'm in Atlanta and received some Owner's Choice numbers (dealer recommends OC for the tax advantages in GA) from a dealer yesterday for a 2015 535i...they seemed way off, and I'd like to know if I'm really missing something.
MSRP: $63,915 Discount: $5,000 (a starting point, would hope for another 1.5k) Adjusted Price: $58,915
Now, I was told the lease numbers and OC numbers should be close, and since I can't find any actual OC formulas, I calculate the following as a lease (36/10k) using their selling price:
They showed me $713/mo for Owners Choice, adding in $599 for doc fee to the price and I asked to assume a payment where I would pay TAVT up front, so I could see a pre-tax payment. I asked for their calculations, and all I got was the RV is 63%.
Now I was told GAP insurance would add $10/mo to the OC payment and an actual lease payment could be higher...I don't see how.
Assuming $6,500 off MSRP and a money factor of .0008 with MSDs, a lease payment would be $553.09 + TAVT, a large delta from where they started. I would assume OC numbers should shake out pretty close, with the only difference being related to interest rate and adding $10/mo for GAP. Is it possible with OC to buy down the interest rate, like one can do with a lease money factor?
Please let me know any thoughts on any real differences b/w lease and OC calculations and if my estimated payment looks like market...

We don't have any information on Owners Choice.
.00130 and 63% for 36/10 on the 535i.
Would you be paying the TAVT up front on the lease or add it into the cap cost? That tax is applied to the entire selling price of the car, which is why OC may be a better option, as I believe it avoids the TAVT.
With your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $598.35 using a MF of .00081 (max MSD) and $646.95 with the base MF of .00130 - so, right in line with your calculations.

Michaell, thanks for your quick response. I would prefer to pay TAVT up front and exclude from the payment. My understanding is that with OC, the buyer is on the title, and if you return the car at the end of the term, you can get a credit toward the next car's TAVT (essentially a sales tax credit for a trade-in), rather than paying full TAVT on the next car if leased. It would also be advantageous if buying the car at the end of the term.
If anyone knows if the interest rate with owner's choice can be bought down, that would be great.
Hi - I'm STILL waiting for my build slot. I returned my beloved 2012 5 on Friday. The return paperwork/email indicated because I had more than 10% of my allowed miles unused, that should factor in for my next lease. Can you advise how that goes? I can upload if interested. Many thanks.

I'm not sure of how they figure the credit, except the maximum credit is $300.
Maybe this isn't exactly the right forum for this, but since everyone here is in the market for a 5 series, I'll start here...can anyone describe the nuances between the luxury line and "m" line? Looking at the 535d x, it appears to be a $1,150 increase to get an m badge steering wheel and some other aesthetic stuff. But the diesel all wheel drive does not have sport suspension, so there's no real difference in the car other than the steering wheel and some chrome. Anyone think the extra $$$ is worth it? In a lease its about $18/month (does a diesel really matter in a 36 month lease anyway - different question). thanks

Diesel residuals are 1% lower than gas, but they have an extra $500 eco credit, so pretty much a wash.
The M-line is just aesthetics.. A body kit, different style wheels, steering wheel, etc.. The body kit/trim is the biggest change... It's a personal thing, I guess.

over the years, I've seen innovation credits and other nonsense, however for January through march, I think they just had a decent residual and MF, but no throw ins.

First month plus fees: $1465.
Selling Price: $61,000.
Residual Value: $40,405
Money Factor: .0014
I am trying to get the selling price down to $58-$59k.
My numbers are within a few dollars of your quote (rounding errors, most likely).
Can use MSD to buy down the MF or negotiate a lower selling price - either will reduce your monthly payment.

MSRP: $63,915
Discount: $5,000 (a starting point, would hope for another 1.5k)
Adjusted Price: $58,915
Now, I was told the lease numbers and OC numbers should be close, and since I can't find any actual OC formulas, I calculate the following as a lease (36/10k) using their selling price:
RV @ 63% = $40,266.45
Depreciation = $58,915 - $40,266.45 = $18,648.55 / 36 = $518.02
Interest = ($58,915 + $40,266.45) = $99,181.45 * .0013 = $128.94
Payment = $646.96 + GA TAVT
Please let me know any thoughts on any real differences b/w lease and OC calculations and if my estimated payment looks like market...
.00130 and 63% for 36/10 on the 535i.

If anyone knows if the interest rate with owner's choice can be bought down, that would be great.

thanks
The M-line is just aesthetics.. A body kit, different style wheels, steering wheel, etc.. The body kit/trim is the biggest change... It's a personal thing, I guess.
