2015 BMW 4-Series Lease Questions

Hello all, I just got a quote for a 2015 428xi coupe M package, navi, back up camera and couple other features but no Blind spot/lane detection package 

MSRP is 53000
i don't remember the selling price I did it over the phone. It was about an hour back and forth

2000 out of pocket 
575 a month. 15k miles per year 36 month

The sales man made it sound like there is more room if I show up in person. I feel l can drop it to close to 550. He knows I'm talking to couple deals. This is BMW bayside in NY

I'm gonna try a dealer in CT tomorrow, they can do multiple security deposits that should take at least $30$ off the monthly. 

they will also take my Lexus IS with 2 payments left and extra miles. 

what do you think? Any advice is much appreciated.

We would need to know both the selling price and the breakdown of the $2000 out of pocket in order to fully evaluate your deal.

You might want to get a second opinion about your trade value - try the "Real World Trade in Values" discussion here at Edmunds. Also, get a payoff value from Lexus so you know exactly how much is owed.

I got a quote for a 428ix M Package with the following options: drivers package, driver's assistance, Nav, cold weather, premium package and harmon kardon. MSRP $56,850. Selling price - $50,998. 36 month lease with $3k cap cost plus tax, reg and convinence fee ($499). Residual - 61%. Money factor - .00130. Monthly payment - $485 plus tax.

Appreciate it if you provide guidance on this deal. In addition, should I wait for the 2016 or negotiate further on the 2015.

I get around $478/mo., but close enough..

I don't think the 2016 will be any cheaper.. if that's the one you want, work hard on the price, and do the best you can.

How many security deposits does BMW allow? Is it dependent upon the dealer or is it based on BMW guidance? In addition, what is the impact the money factor her security deposit.

7 security deposits allowed, each one shaving .00007 off the MF - net MF would then be .00081

I just went to Momentum BMW of Houston last week, and I was given a MF of .0017 and Residual Value of 55% for 428Xi GC for 12000milesx36months. Does this sound right?

Not at all .. base MF is .00130 and the 36/12 residual for the 2015 428xi GC is 63%.

Got a quote on a 2015 428Xi coupe with MSRP $51910, negotiated price 46620 for 36 month and 12k a year. No cash down, base MF, with 7 MSD. I live in Missouri. Total monthly payment from dealer with tax is 521 a month.

Doc fee in NY is $75, and titling using a 3rd party cause I am from NJ is $400. so its about $500, not 700... still $200 diff, is probably a couple bux a month.. so seems like they are pretty on point. Thanks. I also posted in Lexus RC 350 session.

I am picking 1 of these cars up on Saturday. Still deciding. The Lexus is leasing amazing right now. Higher MSRP and $55 bux a month give or take cheaper, with a slightly higher MSRP.

Most dealers will attempt to mark up the MF. Some dealers insist on it. That adds about $40/mo. to the monthly payment.

I am in a state where you pay tax monthly. Should the tax be on the depreciation amount alone or the depreciation plus interest amount? It doesn't seem to make sense that they would tax the interest.

A lease payment is considered rent. If they tax the payment monthly, then they are taxing the payment. Depreciation or interest doesn't matter. Which state?

One dealer I emailed said that he's waiving the acquisition fee. Can they do that? Or are they likely just giving a lesser discount on the MSRP and saying they are waiving the acq fee?

Last question...how does the negotiation work for a regular stateside lease versus European Delivery?

BMW is trying to clear the 2015 stock, and having higher residuals is one way to do it.

You may be able to score 5-7% off the 2016's; won't know until you ask.

There are two options regarding the acquisition fee - one is to roll it into the cap cost; the other is to waive it, but the MF will increase as a result. Usually a wash.

I know there is a MF adjustment for ED, but I don't know it. And, the second lease payment is waived (as your car is most likely on a boat in the Atlantic).

Down: $1995 (no break down given aside from first payment included)

payment: $419 + tax. ($449 total)

Dealer doesn't want to budge too much, even on MF.

Where should I be shooting for regarding MF? Is there any incentive?

.00130 MF and 63% residual. The residual will be reduced for the mileage already on the vehicle ($780, I think). $1000 buildout cash.

Considering the buildout cash, and the $780 residual reduction, the effective discount from MSRP is about $3200. That's good, but not amazing. If the buildout cash is coming off the $38994 (and, it looks it might be), then that's a better price.

In CA, assume $600 for title/registration/doc fees, $925 acquisition and 1st payment. That's pretty close to your $1995.

If I use $37,994 for the CAP cost and 61.2% for the residual (to account for the miles), then I get the same payment.. The money factor markup is adding about $28/mo. to the post-tax payment.

Considering the buildout cash, and the $780 residual reduction, the effective discount from MSRP is about $3200. That's good, but not amazing. If the buildout cash is coming off the $38994 (and, it looks it might be), then that's a better price.

In CA, assume $600 for title/registration/doc fees, $925 acquisition and 1st payment. That's pretty close to your $1995.

If I use $37,994 for the CAP cost and 61.2% for the residual (to account for the miles), then I get the same payment.. The money factor markup is adding about $28/mo. to the post-tax payment.

I've also been checking the lease MFs on cars.com, which has been accurate to date; however, this month they list the 24/36 month MF as 0 (i.e. 0% APR), not 0.00130. Is their information incorrect? Thanks for your help!
