Just to double check...for the 428i convertible, the August RV for 10k and 12k were 62% and 61%, respectively, and this month they are 61% and 60% right?

Also, when I use the edmunds.com lease calculator there is an area to enter RV and an area to enter miles/year. How does the calculator handle that mileage entered? I figured if you entered the RV, you didn't need to enter the miles/year but I do see that the payment changes if you modify that miles/year number.

Finally, would you provide the formula for calculating the monthly payment? I'm having a difficult time getting what the dealer is getting.

Yes.. residuals went down 1% from August.

No idea how the lease calculator works. The lease formula is pretty simple, and you can build an Excel spreadsheet that makes it easy to plug in the numbers. You are correct that the residual for a certain mileage is the residual, and there is no logic behind having two entries, each of which adjust the numbers.

We would need to know the selling price to sort out the payment. $3000 down lowers the payment about $84/mo

Yeah.. that's it. The advertised deal doesn't mention the dealer discount from MSRP.

In this advertised deal, the discount assumed is $1550 + $1500 buildout cash.

So, subtract $1550 + $1500 from the MSRP to get the selling price, then subtract the $3000 CAP cost reduction. That should get your numbers to match up.

No idea what direction the numbers will go next month.

Michael..could you please take a look at this offer and answer a couple of questions? I have top tier credit(800+), would it be realistic to achieve a 3% interest rate and what would my monthly payment be if the interest rate was lowered to 3%?

The markup to the owner's choice rate is adding about $30/mo. to the payment.

That's a nice discount, offset somewhat by the $700 dealer fee.

You are leaving out the finance charges.. Also, your sheet shows total price of $45,909, not $50,029.

So far as we know, the numbers are national. BMW dealers are allowed to mark up the MF by as much as .00040. So, do the math.

And, reach out to other BMW dealers - I'm sure one will give you the base rate.

Deal is done. They lowered the interest rate to 3.54% and knocked a grand more off the car. $599/36 mos. Sign and drive..nothing out of pocket. Sweet ride.

What do you think? I think the monthly payment is too much along with some weird documents I have never known before. Any idea how to fix it?

I also have $1000 credit from the Drive for Team USA Event and hope to use in here as well. Can someone tell me how much monthly payment before and after would look like?

12000 miles 36 months
MSRP 49450 (428i xDrive Coupe 2015)
CAP cost is $44000, it was $44685 (and that includes $500 build-in credit)
Excess mileage will be $.20/miles
Residual is 60%, MF is 0.00081 (with 7 MSDs)
First payment is $485.19 with tax
Security Deposit is $3500
Acquisition fee is $925
DMV fee is $47
Doc fee is $210
Cap reduction tax is $69.54
Drive-off is $5236.73
What do you think? I still have $1000 credit but I haven't told them yet. It will reduce my monthly payment to $455 per month. Should I go lower? Is there any more room for negotiation? And is there a longer lease term rather than 36/12k?

Just closed the deal yesterday. Monthly payment didn't change. I ended up asking for the black hard mat (not the stocking one) and drove off. One thing I noticed was the OEM speakers wasn't that good, lack of deep bass compared to my old ride Toyota loll. Anyways it's all good and great experience so far.

I think it's pretty good. $500 lease cash on this model, so the discount is almost 9% before subtracting the $500. And, the base money factor. My calculations are within a couple of dollars of those.

No need to put up all that money upfront though. You could roll in the $925 acq.fee and not make the $1000 CCR. That adds about $60/mo. to the payment, but you'd only have $1100 or so, due at signing. That makes absolutely no difference to the dealer. ($1100 upfront and $486/mo. more or less).

Each MSD is the monthly payment amount rounded up to the next $50.
