.00105 and 52% for 36/15. Add 2% for 12K. Add 1% for AudiCare
I'm waiting to hear back on the breakdown, but he did mention the following, "$3000 doesn’t cover all your inception fees, so some of it is being rolled in to the payment. Please let me know as I am trying to work with you."
I'm looking at a Brilliant Black Q5 3.0T Premium Plus w/ Sports Interior Package, Technology Package, Wheel Lock, and All Weather Mats.

Wow - I'm trying to figure out how they are getting more than $3K of inception costs. Usually it's the first payment, acquisition fee, dealer fee and any state or local registration or license fees. Unless you are also paying the sales tax up front as well.
Hi,
I'm looking at a 2015 Q5 3.0T Premium Plus in South Florida. Can you provide the money factors and residuals for the following combinations?
36/15
36/12
24/15
24/12
Is there any particular "sweet spot" you like in leasing this model? Also, it appears that Audi Care generally adds 1% to the residuals, correct?
Thank you very much!
.00098 and 60% / 54% for 15k miles. Add 2% for 12k and another 1% for AudiCare
Hi again, I am still looking for my Q5 and will have to find one this month. I would greatly appreciate if you could share the May MF and residual for the following 2015 Q5 models (all would be for 36 months and 12k/yr): 2.0 TFSI Premium Plus, 3.0 TFSI and TDSI Premium Plus, and the SQ5 Premium Plus? Are there any other specials this month? Thank you so much for the help.

AUDIFS CALC: (www.audifs.com) The Audi Finance Calculator says (with the same parameters): TOTAL per-month = $558.94
Where is the mistake?
Thanks in advance.
Can't tell you .. I get the same $444.15/mo that you do.
I assume there is a discrepancy with the net cap cost, but have no way to prove it.
Michaell,
Many thanks. I have two last questions (sorry for the bother):
1. How do you get access to Audi's lease parameters? Are those parameters authoritative (that is, can a dealer misrepresent them with additional margin)?
2. The calculator from audits forces one to use indirectly "trade-in value" to derive a discounted capitalization while keeping the MSRP correct for the RV computation (which is derived from non-discounted MSRP).
Your assistance has been invaluable. Before your parameters, I was using the AudiFs calculator and reverse engineering the RV and MF from that one value. The RV was assumed and indexed into the MF calculation. Pretty nasty. But now thanks to you, we are good to go.

To answer your questions:
1. Google. But, dealers can mark up the MF for additional profit. Residual is fixed by the bank and cannot be modified.
2. I built my own calculator - you can do it, too:
We don't recommend using trade equity or cash as a cap cost reduction - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. If you have a trade in with positive equity, have the dealer cut you a check for that amount.

I'm about to lease a car in a few hours, so a prompt reply would be great...I apologize in advance for not posting sooner.
I have a 2013 Allroad, in month 25 of 36. I have 25K miles into a 30K total. The car needs new brakes in front, and three new tires. Also, aluminum pan under rear of car is damaged...about 700 to replace. Am paying $550 w/9% tax. I did a Zero drive off. I'm in LA.
The offer on the table is this:
2015 Q5, alpine white, tech, B&O, some cargo stuff. MSRP looks to be $47820.
With just first month drive off, payments of $515+tax for 36/10K.
They're buying my Allroad (buyout is 33K per audifs).
Seems like a solid deal...only issue to me is Audicare. I mentioned it after the offer, and dealer said would add $22//month. With pop in residual, shouldn't it only add about $12. And what is retail cost for Q5 Audicare?
Also, dealer mentioned I should be getting money back for unused Audicare on my Allroad. Last time, when I traded in my 2011 Avant for the Allroad, I got $400 but had less than 25K miles (only did 5K/15K service...and 5K is free). What should I get back for my Audicare...just did 25K service.

AudiCare on a Q5 is $829. It's possible he just added it on, without plugging in the 1% higher residual. Just bring it to his attention... it should only be about a $12/mo. difference.
I have no clue on any possible refund from your current AudiCare.

I'd be more comfortable with an AFS lease, especially when it comes time to turn it in, at lease end.

Independent banks have no incentive to keep you happy as a customer. They don't care if you buy another Audi or not..

The guy said the sale price is 44,977, which sounds wrong to me. I'm coming up with 47,675. Does that seem right to you?
Finally, the vehicle has 167 miles on it. How should that be priced in? Can you advise on whether you think this is a fair deal? Thanks.
Remind us what trim level you are looking at?
i don't think 167 miles will qualify for any sort of discount.

MF = .00096 and
RV = 59%
For the 3.0TDI P+ I computed a lease as follows:
GIVEN:
TOTAL MSRP (including Q5 TDI P+ core, options, incentives, fees and delivery) = $54,500
CAPITALIZATION (10% deposit after dealer 6.58% total dealer contribution off MSRP) = $45462.00
RV (@59% of MSRP) = $32,155
RESULT:
finance interest-month = $74.51
depreciation-month = $369.64
TOTAL per-month = $444.15
AUDIFS CALC: (www.audifs.com)
The Audi Finance Calculator says (with the same parameters):
TOTAL per-month = $558.94
Where is the mistake?
