Trying to compare how different lease economics are within the 2015 Q5 family. Looking at a 36 month and 12k/yr.
MF and Residuals for a 2.0 Premium Plus; 3.0 Premium Plus, and SQ5 Premium Plus
Also what are the markups on MF? I'm used to leasing BMW where you can get it at the buy rate.
Thanks!
.00086 MF and 53% residual .00160 MF and 55% residual .00105 MF and 56% residual
Maximum markup is an extra .00125, but we seldom see that.. Most markups are in the .00050 range. Since Audi lease programs aren't all that great, so not sure they could stand to mark it up a lot.

Is this a good deal on a 2015 Q5 2.0T Premium with navigation, moonroof, and heated seats?
MSRP: $45,055 Invoice: $42,391 Selling price / cap cost: $41,590 Incentive: $750 36 mo, 10k/yr 0.00086 MF, 57% RV $2,850 sign & drive Inc. 1st mo, NY taxes, bank fee, etc. $478 for next 35 mos
Thanks!
Base MF is being used, so that's a good start.
I get $500/mo with your numbers, so your quote of $478 looks pretty good ... I suspect some of that $2850 is going to cap cost reduction.
Thanks Michaell, I'll have the dealer break out the $2,850. My rough calculation is it covers $478 1st month, $1,485 NY tax (0.0863) on 36 payments, and $695 bank fee, with $192 TBC. The $695 bank fee seems standard from what I've read here, is it negotiable?
No, it's imposed by the bank.
Can you please help with a related question? Same car, Q5 2.0 Premium, MSRP $45,055, cap cost $41,590. What is the MF and RV for 39 mo, 10k/yr? I ask since I'm considering 39 mos as a 'bridge' to when new cars become available each fall. Thanks in advance!

The MF goes up for a 39 month lease to .00106, and the residual drops 2%, so the payment will be a bit higher despite the extra 3 months in the term.

Recently leased a 2015 Q5 3.0 TDI for $644 per month with $6000 down (Includes 1st pymnt, dealer fees, 7% sales tax, tags, etc).. Sticker was $54,500. How much of the $6000 was for cap cost reduction? I'm guessing a fair amount, because with your numbers, along with the Premium Plus residual of 54% and the MF of .00142, I get $776/mo.
Hello, I'm in South florida and got quoted the following for a 2015 Q5 premium plus with tech package:
$550 + tax per month $0 down, inceptions only 10K miles 36 miles $45,848 cap cost No MF or Depreciation provided(even though I asked)
Using the 2015's MF of .00086 and 54% depreciation, I can't seem to replicate these numbers on an online lease calculator.
Any feedback, corrections, or advice?
Thanks in advance.
We would also need to know the MSRP in order to model the payment.
I confirm the .00086 MF and 54% residual.
MSRP = $48,705; thanks!
With those numbers, I get a payment of $605/mo before tax. Not sure how the dealer is getting to $550 - that's about a $2000 difference in the net cap cost.

My thoughts exactly; there must be something that they're either omitting or incorrectly stating. Anyways, the MF and residual posted helped, thanks a ton!

.00142 MF and 57% residual. (56% is for 36mo, 12K/yr).

Lease payment $734/month (after tax). Does this add up? If so, is it a good deal?
I show lease numbers of .00086 and 53%, so your dealer is marking up the MF on you.
Using your numbers but with the base MF the pre-tax payment is $635.25. What is the tax rate and what is the net cap cost - if it's higher than the selling price, find out what's been added.

39/12 numbers for the 2015 2.0T Premium Plus are .00106 and 51%. MF can be marked up by the dealer but the residual is fixed by the bank.
I would confirm the lease term and miles per year with the dealer.

Could someone please give me the MF & residual for a 2015 Audi Q5 2.0T Prem vs PremPlus at 36mo 12k vs 15k? Also, what is mileage penalty at lease end vs pre-purchased additional mileage? Thank you for your help!

MF is much worse on the 2016's, but the residual is higher to offset.
I suspect you'll be able to get a better deal on a remaining 2015.
Hi! Thanks for a great forum! 1. Can you please let me know if this sounds like a good deal - 2016 Audi Q5 2.0 Premium Plus MSRP $48,375 and dealer will sell for invoice price of $45,115. 3 yr / 10k mile lease. MF .00165 and residual 59%. If not, on which do you recommend I negotiate and how much could I get them down? This is in TX.
Hi - additional question - 1. How much in general can be negotiated off the sticker price for a used Audi Q5 2.0? This would be for a 2014 Q5 2.0 Premium Plus with approx 20k miles. The prices they are asking don’t seem too far off from the original sticker prices. I think the first guy who bought it should take the full first 2 years’ depreciation hit, not me. 2. What are some of the best deals out there that you all have negotiated for a used Audi Q5 2.0 Premium Plus? 3. What is the absolute best time of year you have seen for purchasing an Audi Q5? Is it in September or at the end of December?
THANKS for your input, to all of you wonderful experts out there
Sorry, question #3 above was for a new Audi Q5 2.0 Premium Plus, either 2015 or 2016 since the deals still have both on the lot - when is best time of year to purchase and get the absolute best price? (we are able to wait until end of December if that is best time)

I show .00165 MF and 58% residual, unless you are adding AudiCare maintenance plan. If you are purchasing AudiCare, then the residual is 59%.
The selling price is good on a new 2016, and that's the base MF, so you are off to a good start. The details are important, though. What's the monthly payment, and how much due at signing. Also, Texas tax on leases is substantial. Probably $80/mo.

Used cars really don't have sticker prices, just asking prices. So, there is no "rule" on what discount you can achieve. You can build a used car and get a value using the tabs at the top of the page.

If you are leasing, the holiday season might be better than now, especially on a 2016 model.

Thanks! They are quoting $622 with only paying ttl and $505 with $4k down + ttl. (This all stems from the publicized Audi lease deal that runs through Oct. 1.) What do you think?
As to residual of 58% vs 59%, is it worth me negotiating on that? THANKS!!!
