Tampa Hondaland's Internet Special claims $1 over invoice on all 03 Accords (coupe and sedan) except NAVI and 6-speed.

September to look at the Accord when it first arrived. Asked who the internet manager was, found out it was Frank, spoke to him about the new model and just left with his card. Waited until prices came down and started looking. I also read that talking with the Internet person cuts out a lot of negotiating because this person is used to giving close to actual price when dealing on line. I would recommend that you do the same. Hope this helps and good luck shopping.
  • umyayaumyaya Member Posts: 123
That's a good price for that car if your sure there's no add on's except the $50. But if it's not in your area, and you are traveling to get it, your not finding anything special.

The woodtrim come standard on the Black Accords, and I think maybe the white (some other besides just black), so don't let that get you too excited. Basically, if it's close, that's the final price, and you don't have to deal anymore, I might just say take it. Earlier carsdirect.com, when entering the Atlanta area code of 30312, was offering 23,374, but I think that's gone up now. Hope that helps. I'd think anything higher than 23,850 is a bad deal, but I don't mind contacting many dealers and waiting for end of month sales events... that's what I did to get my navi for 25,579 out the door at 3.99%

Prices on this vehicle seem to be going down. Invoice $23,675(includes $480 delivery). Seeing $300-500 over invoice, but one dealer verbally said $200-300 is now possible. looking to buy 1/03 -- is asking for invoice out of the question?

Damn! I got an initial e-mail quote from Route 3 Honda in Clifton, NJ of $28,360 PLUS tax, doc, mv, and credit bureau. I want to get the EX v6 6-speed coupe w/ navigation when it comes out. I live in the NJ/NY area. Any suggestions/tips for my reply?
  • rws1rws1 Member Posts: 1
You can build a car on Honda's web site and then select from a list of dealers in your area to request a quote from. It sends the dealer the list of options you requested on your car. The internet manger from the dealer will contact you via email with a quote. I used it and it worked great.

I paid invoice for a 03 Accord EX V6 Silver with leather ($23,676). I think for the next few months prices will come down, because of soft winter sales. I believe the 4 cyl will even go under invoice. Good luck. It is very good car.

As others have said, I wouldn't pay above 22,400 for that Accord. You said you live in N. VA. Did you check out Jim Coleman Honda yet? They're in Montgomery County, MD... they're where I went and found a great price on the NAVI system without any haggling.

I'd ask for Jonathan Barnswell, who I delt with. I know they had at least one like you mentioned and could probably do it even cheaper if you pre-order. Just my thoughts. Good luck!

When are the dealership's saying that the 6-speed will be out... Any idea on how many honda's making???

Oh and pbm25 depending on what color interior you are looking @ the light interior comes standard with the wood grain trim... But if not cost on the wood trim is only $277 so... Well hope that helps alittle... $23,800 with the trim already standard is definatly not the lowest price out there.. However if you are adding a different trim package then I would agree with Umyaya and say that as long as all you add is tax and tags, no other fees (cause they are nothing but profit to a dealer) then yeah thats a good price and you probably can find dealership that'll do the same but not lower... Sorry I start rambling..
  • umyayaumyaya Member Posts: 123
Keep checking around... aim for 22,300. Check my post a few days back (by just clicking on my name) about sending an email in... it was then very simple. If you look in N.VA just stay away from Rosenthal, as I've said before, because they pissed me off with their games. Jim Coleman was good to me in MD, I don't know N.VA...

Febrezee, I though you might have had the answer to your own question, I usually look for your thoughts here... just teasing ya!

Just purchased a 2003 EX-L I-4 pin strippe and cargo net for $22,200. MSRP $24,160. No Doc Fees , just 6% sales tax and App 175.00 for state lic. What are Doc Fees anyway? Ask A Dealership what they do for 3 or 4 hundred dollars. Even they are embarassed to tell you. Dealer was in South Florida.

I would like to purchase the 03 Accord EX V6 4 door Sedan. Has anyone gotten a good deal in the Boston area? Any advice about which dealership might give me the best price would be appreicated. I'd also like to know what you paid if you live in this area. Thanks
  • shoman220shoman220 Member Posts: 5
I have exactly the same question, but in Chicago instead of Boston. Looking for invoice or so on EX V6 Sedan. Anyone get near that in the Chicago area? Please mention the dealer. I'm in the northwest suburbs, but will go anywhere in Chicago for the right deal.

By the way, this is my first TH post after lurking for months!

Did a search on Google and found Jay Honda in Ohio has sale and lease prices that look pretty good. $24,474 for purchase or $335 per mo. for 36 mo.leae with zero down.

Has anybody dealt with them? Has anybody found any other good lease prices in the midwest area?
  • anonymouspostsanonymousposts Member Posts: 3,802
335 for a V6 sounds pretty good. We doing a 36 month/15,000 mile lease on an EX-L 5-speed coupe here in GA for $325 per month with 625 due at signing (first month and security deposit). That includes fog lights, spoiler, mud guards, cargo net, and paint protectant. Total MSRP $24,700. We figure we are getting the car for $22,600.
  • indysabreindysabre Member Posts: 42
The $335 I mentioned above was for 12k per year, I will proabaly also get 15k per year for about 350 per month.

They also said that Honda Finance will wave the security deposit with good credit or maybe it was becasue I previuosly had a lease several years ago with Honda finance. They will also throw in up to 3 $500 allowances for excessive wear and tear at end of lease and no Disposition fee. This almost sounds to good to be true, I'll find out more next week.
  • anonymouspostsanonymousposts Member Posts: 3,802
I was on Honda's website earlier and if you have previously leased a Honda they will give you a special program where you do get up to $1500 towards excess mileage and wear and tear at the end of the lease. My dealer didn't say anything about waving the security deposit but we went in with a quote from Honda's website showing the security deposit and first month's payment down so we never really asked for the security deposit to be waved. Still a little wary over whether we are getting a good deal or not. Worst case scenario we will just buy the car instead of the lease. They already have our $500 deposit (car is being built on the 14th) so we are locked into the car, just not the financing.

Have you heard of DX with A/C? Honda Canada website shows that DX comes with Air, but in US it doesn't. A local dealer in midwest denies its existence and is pressurizing me to buy LX just for Air. What do you guys think?

LX adds Air, Power Locks & Keyless to DX.

    All-

A reply from a NJ Honda dealer in regards to the EX v6 6-speed coupe w/ navigation:

"I'm not sure if you have heard this or not. But Honda has issued a statemnt to the different dealership's not to take any order's or deposit's. Apparently this 6-speed will be an ultra-rare vehicle. With probably enough made for 1 at each dealership in 2003. So as much as I would love to be able to help you out and sell you a new vehicle my managment hasn't even decided on what we are going to do with the one we do get.

    Sorry for the inconvience"

Jay Honda is a good dealer, I bought an EX V-6 sedan there is mid-october for $23574, $100 UNDER invoice. Their service is decent as well

robtlf - $335 is without tax - EOM

In regargs to the 6-speed did a NJ Dealer tell you that or was it a MD dealer :0)

In regards to the DX, YES any dealer can add AC to a DX, it cost roughly $1700. By the time you do that its not much more to go to the LX. Most dealers will recommed the LX over the DX because, well frankly we do not get that many DX's. So if a customer wants a specific color we usually don't have and can't get it and don't want to.

Honestly I would recommed the LX over the DX every time. Plus the resell value of the Lx id much, much higher than that of the DX.. Sorry for the log post.
  • prep21prep21 Member Posts: 17
It was a dealer from the MD area that told me that all the v6 s-speeds will be in the rarest of all forms no matter where I look. Apparently some dealerships were directly contacted by Honda to not to take orders/deposits and some will only get slim pickin's to one. I've been working with 7 dealers (via the internet) in the NJ/NY area and they all pretty much tell me the same thing about it's limited availability and some actaully advised me for a deposit. Also, Jim Coleman Honda told me that they're not even sure what they're going to do with thier order and wished me good luck elsewehere.

The v6 6-speed coupe w/ navigation is that car I really want. I'm starting to get the feeling that Honda is just relesing the 6-speed in limited quantities to get a feel of the market and see the general public's responce, with hopes of a Type-S release in the near future if all goes well. Acura TSX anyone?

I am live in south texas, san antonio, and have got this price from a local dealer.

24,384 plus TT&L. no other fees.

Is this good? It is 800 over invoice

    Hey all,

Those looking for EX-V6's and willing to travel a bit, I thought I'd be sure to remind you of the carsdirect.com price, $23,724, if you type in the Atlanta area code of 30312. As you might remember I got my NAVI from Jim Coleman in MD (they were great), but until I decided to bump up to the NAVI I was talking to a carsdirect guy about the EX-V6 and had a very good experience with him. He was very honest and has been continually checking back with me, and updating me for about 1+ months now. If I hadn't bought yet, I'd probably check them out. He was even kind enough to advise me that I should probably take the NAVI offer I got here in MD as it was a great price that he didn't know if and when he'd be able to do, and not likely soon in my colors. So check them out... just remember that it's amazing what a difference different area codes will do. 30312 area code found the lowest I'd seen (advertized) and Luis Rodriguez was really helpful. Good luck - Ben

Hey just saw a great lease for southern california people at downey honda world. The sunday newspaper saids:

    2003 accord V6L
    Tons of standard equipment
$2000 at lease signing for 48months/12k for only $250 a month. This seems to be the best lease deal i found online or at dealers.
  • tblazer503tblazer503 Member Posts: 620
I just don't see it unless there is a great money factor or something from AHFC. Say you get the car for 22k or so. 2k down and 250/mo 48 mo is roughly 14k total not including CA tax of 8% or so or the initial tax/title/doc fees. Not even touching interest yet... Let's guesstimate that the total paydown is going to be sub 8k that means the resid. has to be 14k. 00's are barely seeing 14k on a trade right now... esp w/ the soft used market... I'm guessing there is a balloon payment at the end or some other catch involved....

Can anyone recommend a dealer on the Kansas City area for a good deal on this vehicle? Believe prices are sliding from the $300-500 over invoice. From what I am reading on this chat page, invoice or below seems to be the target price.

Just called the dealer I've found with the lowest price in Chicago about an EX-V6, no NAVI. They are quoting $23,474, including destination! If this holds it's about $200 under invoice. I will let you know, I go see them Thursday.

I picked up my ordered Satin Silver metallic 2003 EX-V6-L last monday. It's been a great car so far.
I made the deal last week in october. It went from salesman to sales manager to general manager.

The deal to me is three part. The price for the new car, the trade in, & the financing. Also there's a tax advantage to selling the car to the dealer vs private. In my case $1000.

I traded my 2000 ex-v6 for 16,000 in good condition with some body problems and paid 500 over invoice. I only paid tax & tags and was
    given 3.99 financing thru AHFC.

All together i feel i got a good deal not the greatest but good. I just mentioned my experience because there's more to the deal than just getting the proce of the car.. the dealer can make that up in many other ways.... Fee's, warantees and giving you less for your trade

A representative at Route 3 Planet Honda in NJ has informed me that the cream of the crop Accord (v6 6-speed coupe w/-w/o navigation) had been pushed back to September 2003!!! Damn, by then I'd be able to the enemy car; Infiniti G35 coupe 6-speed.

Also, the guy to me that the second batch may be handled in the way when the Dodge Viper was first released... going to the highest bidder (im not sure if he meant dealer or consumer)... any of you guys hear anything about this?

Honda can you hear me? Make more 6-speeds!!!

Carsdirect in Atlanta is about 50 over invoice or a price of 21,298. Of course they have about 200-300 doc fees.

    I got a price of 21,276 for a 2003 Accord EX-L Automatic 4 Door. Silver - no Navi.

    This includes the destination charge.
    So it's 21,276 + TTL

    Is this a good deal.

    Luv this forum!

I am looking for a dealer in the Utah, Idaho, Montana area. I live in S.E. Idaho, dealers I have found tell me they CANNOT come lower than 25,200 because etc., etc., etc. Can anyone advise of a dealer who is willing to go at invoice or a little higher for the 03 V-6 EX sedan, w/o nevi. within reasonable (long day trip) distance?

Just wanted to help out any Arizona buyers near Pheonix. I got a great no hassle deal through Tempe Honda in Pheonix on a 2003 Honda Accord EX V6, Silver. I went through the Fleet and Internet department. Roger was my sales rep. I found the phone number on-line, and then an extra $100.00 coupon popped up with their website for use with accessories or off of the price of the car.
He opened by offering us invoice - $23,675.00, which is the price we were hoping to find. They did not try to push any extra products or "sneak in" any extra costs. The price I recieved over the phone was to the penny what I paid. They made it very simple and we appreciated the straight forward, no hassle selling.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but is leather an option on the LX V6? I'm getting the sense that only navigation is an option. Also, for those who have purchased one or driven one, does the V6 provide nice acceleration?

Looking to get an EX V6 Accord sedan in the next few months. Plan to add a few dealer installed extras too (lip spoiler, mud guards, edge guards, etc.) I Live in Richmond, VA. I test drove the sedan and the coupe and thoroughly enjoyed both. Richmond Honda is only getting ONE 6M coupe for 2003! The sedan makes more sense being I have wife and 6 yr old also. Can anyone give me an idea on what they're getting in the Mid-Atlantic region for a similar vehicle?
