One Toyota dealer gave me a price quote that shows:
base cost + hold back + TDA (Toyota Dealer Advertising) fee + 30 day flooring cost + Gas charge = invoice
The TDA, flooring, and gas fees add about $400 to the published price you see on Edmunds.
What are you guys seeing for Hondas, does the published invoice match the dealer invoice??
For example Edmunds list the invoice price for the Accord 4dr EX-L 4cyl automatic at $21788. Does this match the dealer invoice price?
Alex
If it is a drive away price, it is good. you know when I was at a honda dealer, they gave me the base price which is $33,350 ( Tax, GST, PST ... exclude)for EX V6 and can only have less than $1,000. discount.but that was last dec. I do know whether there is any change now.
I think Edmunds indicates that their invoice price doesn't include advertising fee. When I added the holdback to the dealer's base price I got the invoice price that Edmunds shows. As far as I can tell with some cars, there is a regional advertising fee that is tacked on to cars by the mfg; wether this is real money out of the dealers pocket or a built in negotiating tool is the question. The dealers advertise all the time on the local media and you don't see a fee on the invoice for that.
What appears to be unusual about the Toyota quote I got was the flooring cost and gas charge. I didn't buy the car as a result.
Can anyone confirm that the dealer invoice price for a Honda matches the Edmunds invoice price?
The dealers I've done business with recently, in my area Autofair and Honda Barn charge only for Title/Tags & a reasonable (~ $79) document fee.
Any other "fees" should be built into the price of the car.
They came back offering 200 over invoice for purchase. I then asked for their best lease deal for true zero down 36 mo 15k lease. They came back at 340 per mo before taxes which I thought was excellent. That same day I had an offer for the car I was selling so I called and told him I'd be by the next day to close the deal.
When I looked at the lease contract they listed an agreed upon value of the vehicle 23,745 and the gross cap cost of 24,295. Money Factor was .0024 with the same exceat residual as you 15,493.
I think if I would have had time I may have been able to take their 200 over invoice and calculate my own exact lease numbers from info Carman provides here at Edmunds. Probably would have only saved $5 bucks or so a month. So for me, having to lease quickly and with the local dealers not having many V6 sedans in stock the deal made sense.
enjoy!
Can some one advice me on price (includes everything except tax & destination charges) of 2003 Accord LX, Auto.
I am not looking for any accessories.
Thanks in advance.
Good time to buy right now also.
Thanks.
Do dealer installed A/C units have any concerns for quality?
Do you think this is a good deal?
Thanks and in advance and good luck in your own car purchases!
The dealer did not have the car I wanted, and I did not want a dealer swap. Fortunately, one is coming to this dealer from the factory in 10 days, and that's the one I’m getting.
I shopped for and priced this car through the internet and e-mail. I had never done this before but found it to be a pleasant way to buy a car. Having the "how much did you pay" background from this group helped a lot.
BTW, I live in Southern California.
It has been a week I didn't look at the board, but I just saw your suggestion about '03 Accord EX V6. I will now look for that page from...2 weeks ago now, I suppose.
Thank you.
Does this sound consistent with what lease deals you have been seeing out there?
Thank you for your time
I also think you can do better than $26k on the EX V6....$23675 is invoice....add on the spoiler and tags and you should be close to that number.
at Stevens Creek Honda in San Jose. Dealt with the Internet Mgr. Charles Bayard. Also got 4.45%
financing. Very pleasant experience. Also I'm really impressed with the car. Even though I'm
breaking it in, I briefly hit 90mph on the way back to Sacramento. Only 3K RPM and smooth as glass. All from a 4cyl iVTEC engine that get's over 30MPG, very impressive.
The first FAQ relates to when the severe driving maintenance schedule should be followed:
Follow the "severe" schedule only if you drive in one or more of these conditions most of the time:
* Trips of less than 5 miles (less than 10 in freezing weather).
* Extremely hot weather (over 90 degrees F).
* Extensive idling or stop-and-go driving.
* Trailer towing, driving with a car-top carrier, or driving in the mountains.
* Muddy, dusty, or de-iced roads.
The second FAQ concerns the first oil change on a new car:
Your Honda engine was delivered with an oil that is specially formulated for new engines that have not yet developed their "natural" wear patterns and may contain minute particles from the manufacturing process. American Honda strongly recommends this special oil be left in the engine long enough for these wear patterns to develop, usually until the first maintenance interval specified in your Owner's Manual, based on your specific driving conditions.
