Living in WI but working a few Chicago area dealers. Here's what they offered for a G35x, Premium w/ Nav.

    MSRP 39475
    Invoice 36239
    Sell 35975

Lease would be 60% residual and .00230 money factor.

Do you think I can get them down on the sell? So far we've done everything over email & phone. Thanks!

After several back and forth phone calls and e-mails, complete with conflicting offers from various salespersonnel I completed a lease deal with Lynnes of Bloomfield, NJ. Here it is: G37 w/ Premium, Sport pkg , Nav. splash guards, cargo net and mat. MSRP 44,030, inv. 40064. Selling price 39,664. Lease 39 mos 12k $499/mo. Up front $1765 incl 1st mo, bank fee, tire tax, dealer prep, doc fee 299- I know the dealer prep is bogus but the rest of the deal looked pretty good inspite of it. The best part was that everything was done by e-mail and phone. I only went there to pick up the car. So far so good!

So basically one should aim to get the car sold to them at invoice including all incentives. I was offered invoice of $35,695 on a MSRP of $38,975.00. The invoice price included incentives. It is a G35 AWD with Premium and Sport packages as well as a cargo net. Also, I want to roll the taxes into the lease. Where would I put the taxes? The base cap cost, cost added to lease or adjusted cap costs? Thanks for the help.
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
That is the right invoice for that MSRP, but on a lease there should be $350 in either conquest cash or loyalty cash as well. Then you have to see what the dealer's doc or prep fee is.

Taxes depend on your state of residence. Some tax the entire car, others the depreciation but is paid up front, most just tax the payment.

I will be in Texas and they tax the entire sales price. I just want to know what part of the equation will the about $2,000.00 dollars in taxes be part of: cap cost, ad cap cost or fees added back to the lease.
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
It can be anywhere you want to put it. If you get the car for invoice less the $350 customer cash plus whatever dealer fee they charge, then you still have to pay the $595 bank fee and the taxes. If your tax rate is $6.25 then $2,230.94 would be due if you leased at invoice. Like the $595 bank fee, you can either pay that up front (part of all) or roll it into the lease on top of your price. Whatever you don't pay at signing gets added to the cap cost. So if you just wanted to pay first payment at signing then your cap would be invoice - $350 cash + dealer fee + tax on invoice ($2,230.94) + title and tag fees.

Here are my numbers for comparison.

    G37S, GP, black interior
Prem, Nav, illuminated plates, guards, mat, net

    MSRP: 43060
    invoice: 39243
39 month lease, 525/month. Here in VA, we pay 3% tax on the cap cost of the car up front, I rolled that in, as well as DMV fees, so my only OOP was the first month's payment. Tried to get them to tint the car, no dice, got two free oil changes, though. The car had been delivered in January(!?), thanks to the forum for pointing out the price increases since then, I used it to my advantage. Probably could have done better, or waited until July numbers come out, but I like the car, and wanted it. Thanks everyone for a fun read, and all the info!!

    Hey Billva,
Do you mind if I ask what the mile/year allowance is on your new G37?

I'm looking at a similar car this week in Atlanta. Thanks.
  • billvabillva Member Posts: 4
it's a 39 mo/15K deal. Once I get the copies of the paperwork (car is being dealer prepped) tonight, I'll post the sale price as well. I may buy some miles up front, cause they only give 45K even though its a 39 month lease..
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
The M lease is finally at the end :D ?

The dealer I got my card from in Knoxville (Harper) might be worth a call or e-mail. They have $0 doc fee, but normally get $700 over invoice for an Internet deal. With the $350 loyalty cash you would be looking at no more than $350 over invoice for the car, destination, and dealer fee. No hidden fees and no mark up on the lease MF or bank fee either.

Just something to keep in mind.

Last chance to get the sedan rather than the coupe as well :D .

Has anyone heard if the conquest from june will be carried forward to July?
  • dwynnedwynne Member Posts: 4,018
Until next Monday, yes. After that we probably will not know until it is too late to get the current deal :D .

    Hey Dennis,
That's right, I paid the last payment on my M over the weekend, 4 weeks to get a new ride. All signs are still pointing to the G37 and I have a good deal at a little over invoice including the doc fee from a dealer in Atlanta. Plus the MF and fees seem right on track where they should be...but thanks for the suggestion.

The sedan may be the smarter way to go for the long term, but I've had the whole family in the coupe to make sure we all fit and it will be fine for short distances. Plus, most of driving is daily commute w/out the kids and usually my car spends about 20-21 hours a day in a garage at home/work. I think I'll really enjoy the coupe.

Any speculation on if the lease rates or loyalty incentive for the G37 coupe will get better after 7/7? I'm debating on pulling the trigger now or waiting to see if the deal gets any better?

    Thanks for the help!

Which dealer in Atlanta are you working with? I just got my g37 from Nalley in Marietta and had a really good transaction. They had a ton on the lot as well so you might be able to get a good deal there if you have not looked there. Let me know if you want the internet salesman I worked with.

Hi, I live in Chicago and I am in the market for a Platinum Graphite '08 G35x with the following upgrades (Premium/Nav/SplashGuards/CargoNet). The prices quoted on Edmunds are:

    MSRP: $40,180
    Invoice: $36,715

The Infiniti dealer in Lisle, IL is offering me this car for a price of $35,750. This price includes the Destination Charge, a $90 servicing charge and the $1000 Conquest bonus.

I will have to pay a $150 documentation fee after which I am responsible for the Sales Tax and License fee which are about $3600.

Do you think this is a good deal or should I try for a better price??
  • mhancock82mhancock82 Member Posts: 1
Can you give me additional information so I might seek a similar deal?

Platinum graphite / graphite Journey with nav, premium, sport, tech, spoiler, splash guards, 36 months / 15k miles

    MSRP: $41,570
    Invoice: $37,808
    Price: $37,847 (including conquest $350)
    MF: .0015
    Residual: 59%
    Doc fee: $189
    Acquisition fee: $595
    Tags: $50
    Tax rate: 6.075%

    Monthly base payment: $463.58
    Monthly payment including taxes: $491.74

    Due at signing: Acquisition +Tax on acquisition + Doc + Registration/Tags + 1st month's lease payment = $595 + $36 + $189 + $50 + $491.74 = $1361.74

Trying to get car diverted to my dealership, if not, deal could fall through.
  • loudog2loudog2 Member Posts: 83
That is a good deal. Invoice minus $1000. I bought my 08 G35x w/prem, nav, tire/wheel pkg, splash and cargo net from Infiniti of Lisle back in March. I only had a $500 rebate back then. What APR did you get? Ask them to split the cost of the remote starter. They did it for me. There cost is $400. I paid $200 for it installed.
  • gman27gman27 Member Posts: 2
Thanks. I am loving the car. I picked the 2.9% APR for 60 months. Do you like the remote start in the G35? Does it need to have another remote along with the intelligent key or can the intelligent keys be programmed for the remote start? I have it installed in my Pathfinder and I love it in the winter when I have to park outside. It is so nice to walk up to a car that is already warm and it makes getting the snow off a lot easier.

Also, did you get your windows tinted at all. I have only driven the car a couple times and I think it might be nice to get a little tint on the windows.
  • loudog2loudog2 Member Posts: 83
I am using the infiniti key fab as the remote for the starter. You hit the lock 3 times in a row to start it. Use lose a little distance using the infiiti key, but it is better than having 2 remotes.
I have a 35% tint all around. I think it looks better the same all around. some of my friends are in law enforcement. They said as long as they can see in a little, they usually won't pull you over. They told me 35% is probally the max to get. I also got the 3m clear bra installed on the front(except the hood). It has saved the front already.

Just got the 2008 G35x with Premium, Splash guard and cargo net

    Edmunds Pricing
    MSRP - $38,030
    Invoice - $34,862

    My Price
    $33600 - $1000 (rebate) = $32600
Plus Taxes and tag (OTD) = $35200

So what do you guys think? $1000 under invoice plus $1000 incentives and 2.9% for 60 months. Probably should of waited til the G37 sedan coming in a few months, and they would of gone down even further.

BTW I got Black on black and with 30% tint will look really nice. Any darker tint will probably give me tickets.
  • krniethamerkrniethamer Member Posts: 5
Did you program your key fob to start the car & if so how did you do it? I tried it on my G37 and the horn & light just blinked 3 times. Thanks

tonyr313, sorry to threadjack, but I'm here in Marietta, GA as well, and the associate I was working with a couple of months ago at Nalley on a new G37 has left the dealership. I would like to get in touch with the salesperson you worked with. Thanks!
  • loudog2loudog2 Member Posts: 83
You need to get a remote starter installed for it to work. If you get one installed, you have an option. Use the infinit key fab(lose a little distance to start), or carry 2 remotes with you. When you use the infiniti key you hit the lock 3 times, yes it will beep and flash, but will start after the third push.

That sounds like a heck of deal. 2k under invoice? That was a pipe dream for me as my area was hit hard by a bad hailstorm in April, The only Infiniti dealer in town wouldnt sniff invoice on " fresh" vehicle given the large inventory of hail damaged G's that arent moving. Best I could do with conquest cash was 400 over invoice given the circumstances.

While this deal is not quite as good as lieu's deal in post 6169, I found it to be quite agreeable and a good deal.

G35x, with Premium Package, Splash Guards, and Cargo Net, in Platinum Graphite with a Graphite interior.

    MSRP $38,030
    Invoice $34,862

    Purchase Price: $34,094

Other Key info: 24 month, 12k miles/year lease.
    Money factor .00131
    residual 71% or $27001.30
    Payment $415/month.

Here is a breakdown of my fees/costs.
I rolled the $595 bank fee into the lease.
I applied the $350 Loyalty Lease Cash ('05 G35x with one month left on lease) as a cap cost reduction.
I had $415 in negative equity (for the 1 month payment left on my '05 G35x)
I paid an additional $350 cap cost reduction.

NJ has a 7% sales tax on the depreciation and financing portion of the monthly lease.

    Out of pocket I paid:
    $415 1st month payment
    $350 cap cost reduction
    $7.50 NJ Tire Fee
$191 NJ 2 year Registration Fee
    $195 Dealer Doc Fee.

Total out of pocket $1158.50 with 23 more payments of $415 to follow.

I paid $350 more than I wanted to pay, but I still got a good deal and the dealer went and obtained the exact color combo and equipped car that I wanted from another dealer for me.

I am happy to have my newest and third G35 Sedan.

This is the deal that I received: 39 months 10,000.00 G35 AWD with prem, sport and cargo net.

    MSRP 38,975.00
    INV 35,785.00
    SALES PRICE 35,500.00

    TEXAS TX 6.25%=2,228.13

    CAP COST 38,323.00

    MONTHLY PAYMENT 513.81

    FEES UPFRONT:
    1st months 513.81
    Doc Fee 150.00
    Temp Tag 10.00
    Title 33.00
    Overnight to TX 25.00
    =731.81

How was my deal? Is this a good deal. The dealer said I was Tier 1 and that the res had gone done and the mf had gone up from June. There was no way to find out if they were telling me the truth. How do I really know if these are the correct res and mf?

If will take some time to read this forum or any leasing forum you will find that no one can tell whether a lease is a good deal without knowing the price of the car that the dealer is selling you. If you only negotiate the price of a lease payment you open yourself to getting into a bad deal.

    You need::

    Publicly Available Items
    MSRP
    Invoice Price
    Current Manufacturer Residual
    Current Manufacturer Lease Factor

    Items particular to your deal
Selling price (in these car buying times you should be around invoice on most cars)
Lease factor dealer is quoting you (dealers can mark this up)
    Dealer doc fees
Local sales tax, and whether you pay up front or every month.
Out of pocket money up front.

I bought from Pepe Infiniti in White Plains. Live up in Northern Bergen County. Ramsey Infiniti was the worst. Lynnes said that their Costco price is $100 over invoice. Pepe said $500 over invoice using Costco; $300 over invoice using Partner Program Discount. I chose to go with Pepe because the original Sales person at Lynnes gave me $750 over invoice using Costco and their Mgr didn't say it was $100 over invoice until after I told them I made a deal with Pepe already. So, they were not being straight, but tell them what I stated here. Ask them what is their best Costco price. If you're not a Costco member, perhaps the savings here would be an incentive to become a member, unless you are a willing negotiator.

    Good luck!

Sorry about that. I am also looking to buy, so I have been looking at this forum.

Directly from a promotional email I just received from Infiniti of Scottsdale:

First, if you're interested in a new Infiniti, we have some unprecedented rates:
    We have ZERO % interest for 72 months on 2008 EX35's, FX35's & QX56's.
Plus we have 0.9% interest for 60 months on 2008 M35's & M45's, and 1.9% on these for 72 months.
Finally, we also have 1.9% interest for 60 months on 2008 G35 Sedans and G37 Coupes.

Secondly, the Factory Cash Incentives on new Infiniti models have been increased., They now they range from $2,000 on 2008 G35 Sedans to as high as $7,000 on 2008 FX45 Crossovers. Like many cash incentives, these cannot be combined with the interest rate promotions.

PLUS, if you currently own or lease an Infiniti, we now have loyalty cash offers ranging up to $3,000 depending on the model. These Loyalty Incentives CAN BE COMBINED WITH THE RATES. Now this is different, and it gives current Infiniti owners even stronger deals.

    I am looking to purchase a 2008 G35x with Premium/nav/wood trim/splash guards

    Exterior: Platinum graphite

    Interior: Graphite

The price details I got from Edmunds:

    MSRP:40,570
    Invoice:37,057
    What others are paying:36,275

Is 36,000+tax+tags+title (and 1.9% financing) a reasonable price or does it get better than that?

    Thank you

Yes I think it is. I am looking for the same in the NY area and I have not gotten anywhere near that price. The best here NY, NJ is close to invoice. Who is the dealer, if I may ask?

    hey guys,

I'm actually incredibly horrible with numbers (mf res. and all that jazz). I sent in a couple requests online and recieved quotes back from many local dealers (I'm coming from Alexandria, VA) The best one I recieved was from the internet manager Rachel at Sheehy in Annapolis. Although it is a ways away from my home, when I spoke to Rachel on the phone (very knowledgable and friendly) she said that she would drive the vehicle to my house for me to take delivery to make it more convenient for me. I spoke to the finance guy, Chris, on the phone who was very up front about everything and made me feel comfortable. I ended up leasing my G and am very happy with what I got! If you guys have specific questions about Infiniti, I recommend giving these guys a shot, I'll definitely be returning after my lease is up in 3 years! :)

    Hi All--

Thanks so much for your posts. I've been following the discussion for a few months and it's taught me a lot. I do though, have a question. I want to purchase a G35 and sent out a general inquiry to dealers and got this response: for a journey with premium pkg and navigation (MSRP 38,115, INVOICE 34,849)... their quote was 33,310 plus tax & lic. The TMV price is 33,736, or 426 more than their offer. Which is good. But there is the $2000 marketing money to factor in. For all I know, they might already have factored that into their offer. I need to ask them, clearly.

My question: does the TMV price include any incentive money? I looked everywhere but could not find that information. If it's not included, should I write back and offer 2000 less? Should I try for more than the 2000? I know we wonder about this all the time, but do you think the price will be less come August?

    Thanks for your help.

The three quotes I received here in Phoenix for a lease were $500 over invoice. They are quoting you about $1500 below invoice so I would say the are including the dealer cash in the quote.
