I'm also in Houston and I decided to wait until December incentives are out for G37 Sedans (don't have VPP though). BTW, I got a ridiculous quote from SW Infiniti on Friday (almost $2,400 above invoice + slightly more than $800 for tint, pinstripe, wheel locks, and "fees"). I know, it's a first quote so they're high-balling, but I still had a good laugh after I crunched the numbers
Anyone have an AMEX Redemption code???? If so, let me know.
How does that compare to deals everyone else is seeing
One of my friends, who owns an Infiniti vehicle, received the much-sought-after amex reward letter from Infiniti, but guess what? He threw it away!
Thanks
I just bought a new G37 sedan in last week and looking for someone who has their code and wants to partner up for the AMEX promotion.
You can reach me via email at sfjalal@yahoo.com with

I've been getting caught up on all the post - for the most part all of you are right in my opinion. Obviously, one would be crazy to waltz in and pay MSRP on anything right now (except maybe a convertible) and when someone does we are happy - it does make up with dealing with you guys
As for profits, good dealers make profits on all 5 fronts (service, parts, body shop, sales, and F&I) if one is doing bad (or losing money) it does not make it "okay" just because the others are doing well - not at my company. We all strive to make our departments profitable for obvious reasons.
Now will an Infiniti dealers (let's stick to Infiniti here) sell a vehicle at a loss - the answer is sometimes. Generally no, but there are situtations - such as demo, aged, damaged, overstock, trying to win a contest, trying to beat a rival, etc - so if someone says they bought a G37sedan in California for $xx,xxx it does not mean someone in Oklahoma can get the same deal - it is all relative to supply/demand plus all the other factors listed above and in earlier post (trade value/finance terms).
Someone said the dealer does not have to accept the offers made - and they are 100% correct, so make an offer you are happy with - if they take it great. If dealers accept offers they don't like, that is their problem.
The one thing I dislike is when a consumer spends the day learning and test driving with a salesperson - the salesperson answers all the questions goes over all the features and benefits and buying options. Then, they go home to "think about it", call another dealer who has done no work - tells them the deal and the other dealer beats it by $100-$200 ($3/month) and the consumer goes there to buy it. It is part of the business and we have to live with it, I just think it stinks.
As for pricing - we've sold 22 G37 sedans this month so far - the average deal has been $1541 below invoice (as most of you know this is in Texas). Good to be back.
PS VPP guy - VPP is NO haggle - none - if you get someone to give you a price lower than VPP - then it is no longer a VPP deal. Use your VPP whenever you get tired of driving what you are currently driving - the incentives MAY get better in December, I doubt they get worse.
Also, IF $2500 incentive on sedans were to increase for December, is there a set date of the month when dealers are communicated that?

For what it's worth, a dealer offered me to order a 2010 G37 sedan "for delivery end of Feb." Before that, I heard January thrown around, so maybe February was for exact specs that I wanted.
Anyway, if the photos of a Chinese equivalent are any indication 2009 model could be better looking...
Infiniti of Tampa, great experience, both times (bought two G37 coupes from them this year
The only two dealers remotely close to me who will discount off of the 09' Convertibles are West Houston Infiniti (1.5K off MSRP), Gunn Infiniti (1K off MSRP), and Austin Infiniti. Austin usually does not discount, but they have a few they are trying to get rid of that have been on their lot a while. I called Sewell, Southeast, and Clearlake Infiniti in Houston and they all would not discount whatsoever.
I also called Crest Infinity in D/FW. Crest said they would discount 2K off MSRP for out-of-towners. I did not check with Grubbs or Sewell in D/FW.
I find it interesting that once it came to payment quoting I receive somewhat of disparity between the different prices.
For Austin they told me they would do a 42 month less with 10K down plus my first month's payment making it a 41 month lease on a G37 Convertible with Premium, Sport, and Navigation. List Price of 51K and some change. The payment would be $858 per month on this lease. This was cheaper before than what they quoted me which was in the 900's. So it appears that are doing some form of discount.
I asked Austin how much it would be for the 39 month lease and I was told I would have had to put down over 13K to maintain the same $858 per month payment. Austin has told me that the tax free sales tax leasing is not currently going.
For West Houston Infiniti they would do a 39 month lease plus first month's payment on the same type of car with ADDED wood trim and kick plates for $870 per month. West Houston has told that the tax free sales tax leasing is going. So who knows? WHI has not gotten back to me yet as to what the payment would be for a 41/42 month lease. Blah forgot to add that both lease figures were quoted at 15K miles per year which is going to increase the payment of course.
For the deals I have a 08' Nissan Titan truck currently owing around 29K thus my 10K plus down to make up some of the negative equity. Both dealers would be giving me 17K for my truck which is about right since the KB is from 16K-18k. So I don't have a problem with that.
My question is do these figures sound right or am I smoking crack? I am tempted to put more money down just to get the payment down to at least $775 per month which is what I am paying on the Titan. Let's say I put enough money down to cover ALL the $1,200 more of negative equity and whatever the TTL is therefore making the trade EVEN or like someone who walks into a dealer just with the TTL down without a trade. What payments would be good for someone who has Tier One credit with Infiniti/Nissan?
I owe so much on the Titan, because I was dumb enough to trade a 06' Nissan 350Z Roadster with damage on it in 07. I have also considered doing a 72 month purchase as well. Then again might wait until the 2010's come out if I can find out if they will have the same minor changes that the 2010 G37 Coupe is having.
I have also been having trouble getting my extended warranty off of my 08' Titan truck in order to trade. I went to a local Nissan dealer to cancel it in October 7th and was told it would take up to six weeks. Well it has been six weeks and it still is not off yet. Though I did not check my payoff this week. That's another thing. A few weeks ago Austin Infiniti told me my warranty was off of my truck so now they could offer me lower payments for the $858 they quoted me, while West Houston Infiniti has told me when they checked on my warranty it said it was still in processing. I am thinking maybe the salesperson at Austin made a mistake and just thought it was off of my truck loan which is was not.
Apparently the only thing a customer can do is get a dealer to calls NASDA to see if the warranty was canceled it. Does nothing to call Nissan Consumer Affairs.
Any advice or help is greatly appreciated! I hope my post here is NOT too confusing or disorganized.
I understand they don't want the dealers stuck with a bunch of 09's but if there are no 09's that I want (you faxed me whats close) then I have to wait until 2010. And I'm impatient.
I am also interested in many of the "changes" that have been posted on this site and others. for the 2010 Upgraded Display, USB connection (hopefully that ugly useless Compact Flash is removed), White display on dash, and Maple interior sounds good too.
My local dealer doesn't even have pricing, so It's tough to compare to the other 2010's I'm looking at. It doesn't bode well for Infiiti if I don't have the opportunity to purchase the 2010 in the next few weeks.
I'll just see what Costco offers on the 2010's then look at "True Car" to see what they say, and try to get the best I can on a 2010 - whenever the prices are released.
P.S. More than maple trim, I'm excited about better red color (Vibrant Red instead of Crimson Red). And Scratch-Shield paint is also discontinued.
After calling the program hotline and inquiring, I learned that only a select group of people who purchased in the previous 12-18 months or so (don't know what the selection criteria were) received this offer in the mail. Searching for a partner on this board after a recent purchase is fruitless in my opinion - most people who had the codes and wanted to cash in have paired up with someone looooooooooong ago.
So can we just stop with the posts on this? Thanks.

I got an offer for $35890 for G37 09 with prem and navigation.
Does that sound ok? I see people can get it for 33k, this is just an online special price for me.
I'm also trading in a car, how do I know what's the best price to trade in my car for and if i should negociate on trading the car price first or the car i'm buying first?
is this the same for the 09 g37? how come I see some pick where you have to insert the key?
i never thought using a key was much of a hassle, but now i realize what a convenience it is.

Thank you.
note: This promotion is not limited to just the G37, as far as I know, any Infiniti vehicle should work.
thanks,

The code is already used. Thanks to those who inquired.
i noticed you are looking at the tsx as well. how do these two compare? i owned a 1st-gen tsx and loved it, but haven't had a chance to drive the new one.
