Does anyone have a REDEMPTION CODE to share? Or, any pointers? We recently purchased a new G37. Email me at vishpool @ gmail please!

Joshua - supposedly, you can get same pricing as VPP if you just negotiate yourself and twist some arms ;) VPP is a no-haggle experience though. SewellGSM will probably be a better person to answer financing questions.

I'm also in Houston and I decided to wait until December incentives are out for G37 Sedans (don't have VPP though). BTW, I got a ridiculous quote from SW Infiniti on Friday (almost $2,400 above invoice + slightly more than $800 for tint, pinstripe, wheel locks, and "fees"). I know, it's a first quote so they're high-balling, but I still had a good laugh after I crunched the numbers :)

Just realized that impact sensor and splash guards have no invoice price, so my calculations were off. But after subtracting $280, the quote was still $2,100 over invoice.

This forum was helpful when shopping so I wanted to contribute. I just bought a G37 Journey sedan with premium package in GA yesterday. I got a price of $31,396 quoted online (not eligible for the 0% financing at that price). They were really blowing out the inventory at the dealership this weekend. One of the sales guys was telling me that the stock is piling up and they need to move some cars to make room for the 2010 model after I closed my deal. I also was quoted a price of $33,196 for premium plus nav but decided to pass on the nav. It wasn't worth $1800 to me.

Anyone have an AMEX Redemption code???? If so, let me know.
  • aces_kingsaces_kings Member Posts: 1
Sounds like a good deal. I'm currently negotiating for a G37x Sedan Prem/Nav for $36K + ttl in Cincinnati.

How does that compare to deals everyone else is seeing

I bought a G37 Sedan a month ago and I did post a message here with purchase details (message #8694).

One of my friends, who owns an Infiniti vehicle, received the much-sought-after amex reward letter from Infiniti, but guess what? He threw it away! I obviously would like to partner with him. Do you guys know if Infiniti would resend the letter to customers who lost it? If so, greatly appreciate if you could share any details to follow up.

    Thanks

Hey guys - took the weekend off (had to watch the Longhorns beat up on the Jayhawks :) ).

I've been getting caught up on all the post - for the most part all of you are right in my opinion. Obviously, one would be crazy to waltz in and pay MSRP on anything right now (except maybe a convertible) and when someone does we are happy - it does make up with dealing with you guys :) But I also agree with the guy who said he got the deal he wanted and he was happy with it so he bought - sometimes folks shop themselves to death, get confused on options and prices and end up hating the entire experience - which is not our objective.

As for profits, good dealers make profits on all 5 fronts (service, parts, body shop, sales, and F&I) if one is doing bad (or losing money) it does not make it "okay" just because the others are doing well - not at my company. We all strive to make our departments profitable for obvious reasons.

Now will an Infiniti dealers (let's stick to Infiniti here) sell a vehicle at a loss - the answer is sometimes. Generally no, but there are situtations - such as demo, aged, damaged, overstock, trying to win a contest, trying to beat a rival, etc - so if someone says they bought a G37sedan in California for $xx,xxx it does not mean someone in Oklahoma can get the same deal - it is all relative to supply/demand plus all the other factors listed above and in earlier post (trade value/finance terms).

Someone said the dealer does not have to accept the offers made - and they are 100% correct, so make an offer you are happy with - if they take it great. If dealers accept offers they don't like, that is their problem.

The one thing I dislike is when a consumer spends the day learning and test driving with a salesperson - the salesperson answers all the questions goes over all the features and benefits and buying options. Then, they go home to "think about it", call another dealer who has done no work - tells them the deal and the other dealer beats it by $100-$200 ($3/month) and the consumer goes there to buy it. It is part of the business and we have to live with it, I just think it stinks.

As for pricing - we've sold 22 G37 sedans this month so far - the average deal has been $1541 below invoice (as most of you know this is in Texas). Good to be back.

PS VPP guy - VPP is NO haggle - none - if you get someone to give you a price lower than VPP - then it is no longer a VPP deal. Use your VPP whenever you get tired of driving what you are currently driving - the incentives MAY get better in December, I doubt they get worse.
  • rusduderusdude Member Posts: 41
So despite this being closer to the end of the year, your average selling prices is higher so far this month than October ($1700-something below vs. $1541)?

Also, IF $2500 incentive on sedans were to increase for December, is there a set date of the month when dealers are communicated that?
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
I just want to know when the 2010's will actually be official? Is it really Dec 5? or is it some other day? This waiting game sucks when I'm seriously interested in the 2010's.

Hi , is there anyone who has the redemption code for infiniti owner recommendation rewards program? Just leased a new G37S and try to get this FREE rewards. Tks.Offer must be redeemed before December 31, 2009.

Out of curiosity, where does Dec. 5 date come from?

For what it's worth, a dealer offered me to order a 2010 G37 sedan "for delivery end of Feb." Before that, I heard January thrown around, so maybe February was for exact specs that I wanted.

Anyway, if the photos of a Chinese equivalent are any indication 2009 model could be better looking...

Southwest Infiniti.......man they are a joke let me tell ya. They told me last year when I was shopping for a G35 that they do not "do" invoice. Needless to say, I am still shopping. I am also in Houston.

G37S 6MT Coupe with Prem & Nav $37,154 OTD before taxes. Dealer had to find me a vehicle and it took some work, so I was willing to pay a bit more to save myself the hustle of going out of state.

Infiniti of Tampa, great experience, both times (bought two G37 coupes from them this year :)
  • infinitilove1infinitilove1 Member Posts: 2
Seeing that there may be new Maple wood accents on the 10' Coupes and Sedans I am thinking about waiting for the 10' model. I wonder if the same changes Infiniti is making for the 10' Coupe and Sedan will be applied to the 10' Convertible once it comes out?

The only two dealers remotely close to me who will discount off of the 09' Convertibles are West Houston Infiniti (1.5K off MSRP), Gunn Infiniti (1K off MSRP), and Austin Infiniti. Austin usually does not discount, but they have a few they are trying to get rid of that have been on their lot a while. I called Sewell, Southeast, and Clearlake Infiniti in Houston and they all would not discount whatsoever.

I also called Crest Infinity in D/FW. Crest said they would discount 2K off MSRP for out-of-towners. I did not check with Grubbs or Sewell in D/FW.

I find it interesting that once it came to payment quoting I receive somewhat of disparity between the different prices.

For Austin they told me they would do a 42 month less with 10K down plus my first month's payment making it a 41 month lease on a G37 Convertible with Premium, Sport, and Navigation. List Price of 51K and some change. The payment would be $858 per month on this lease. This was cheaper before than what they quoted me which was in the 900's. So it appears that are doing some form of discount.

I asked Austin how much it would be for the 39 month lease and I was told I would have had to put down over 13K to maintain the same $858 per month payment. Austin has told me that the tax free sales tax leasing is not currently going.

For West Houston Infiniti they would do a 39 month lease plus first month's payment on the same type of car with ADDED wood trim and kick plates for $870 per month. West Houston has told that the tax free sales tax leasing is going. So who knows? WHI has not gotten back to me yet as to what the payment would be for a 41/42 month lease. Blah forgot to add that both lease figures were quoted at 15K miles per year which is going to increase the payment of course.

For the deals I have a 08' Nissan Titan truck currently owing around 29K thus my 10K plus down to make up some of the negative equity. Both dealers would be giving me 17K for my truck which is about right since the KB is from 16K-18k. So I don't have a problem with that.

My question is do these figures sound right or am I smoking crack? I am tempted to put more money down just to get the payment down to at least $775 per month which is what I am paying on the Titan. Let's say I put enough money down to cover ALL the $1,200 more of negative equity and whatever the TTL is therefore making the trade EVEN or like someone who walks into a dealer just with the TTL down without a trade. What payments would be good for someone who has Tier One credit with Infiniti/Nissan?

I owe so much on the Titan, because I was dumb enough to trade a 06' Nissan 350Z Roadster with damage on it in 07. I have also considered doing a 72 month purchase as well. Then again might wait until the 2010's come out if I can find out if they will have the same minor changes that the 2010 G37 Coupe is having.

I have also been having trouble getting my extended warranty off of my 08' Titan truck in order to trade. I went to a local Nissan dealer to cancel it in October 7th and was told it would take up to six weeks. Well it has been six weeks and it still is not off yet. Though I did not check my payoff this week. That's another thing. A few weeks ago Austin Infiniti told me my warranty was off of my truck so now they could offer me lower payments for the $858 they quoted me, while West Houston Infiniti has told me when they checked on my warranty it said it was still in processing. I am thinking maybe the salesperson at Austin made a mistake and just thought it was off of my truck loan which is was not.

Apparently the only thing a customer can do is get a dealer to calls NASDA to see if the warranty was canceled it. Does nothing to call Nissan Consumer Affairs.

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated! I hope my post here is NOT too confusing or disorganized.

We will find out the December incentives on Dec 1st. As for prices, sometimes when supply starts to dwindle the prices will go up. Many folks on this forum who have been looking for a G37 with Tech know what I mean - certain colors and packages get limited and the price may increase a tad. For the most part though prices do get better as we enter the close out - mainly because Infiniti gives more incentives.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Infiniti will have them ready to roll out in December; however, they will not release them until the stocking levels of the 2009s get down to a certain level. They don't want the dealers stuck with a bunch of 09s on the lot when they roll out 2010s. Expect them 1st week of the new year or last week of this year.
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
    Thanks for the info.

I understand they don't want the dealers stuck with a bunch of 09's but if there are no 09's that I want (you faxed me whats close) then I have to wait until 2010. And I'm impatient.

I am also interested in many of the "changes" that have been posted on this site and others. for the 2010 Upgraded Display, USB connection (hopefully that ugly useless Compact Flash is removed), White display on dash, and Maple interior sounds good too.

My local dealer doesn't even have pricing, so It's tough to compare to the other 2010's I'm looking at. It doesn't bode well for Infiiti if I don't have the opportunity to purchase the 2010 in the next few weeks.

What is VPP (Vehicle Purchase Program)? is it for current Infiniti Owners?
  • joshuajjoshuaj Member Posts: 2
VPP is a program for Infiniti/Nissan employees and employees of their suppliers. On a G37 it works out to roughly a few hundred over invoice less all applicable dealer and customer incentives, plus any dealer options. You can still get ripped off on your trade-in or on dealer options, but otherwise it's a pre-negotiated price.
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
    thanks.

I'll just see what Costco offers on the 2010's then look at "True Car" to see what they say, and try to get the best I can on a 2010 - whenever the prices are released.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Well - not much anyone can do. I know your ready - it is like Xmas - it will get here when it gets here! :)

As the 2010 G is going to have the next generation Navigation system, can I upgrade the Navi on '09 G37 Sedan with that. I mean is it possible?
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
    Not that I know of....
  • rusduderusdude Member Posts: 41
SewellGSM, early December is when, hopefully, all the details/pricing will be revealed on 2010 models. Would it be possible to order the car and do the financing (Infiniti or outside lender) in December to get advantage of 2009 tax break on sales tax? Or will the lending company not finance the car until it's physically here?

P.S. More than maple trim, I'm excited about better red color (Vibrant Red instead of Crimson Red). And Scratch-Shield paint is also discontinued.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
The dealership has to be invoiced on the vehicle before they can sell it. We usually get invoiced a day or two before it arrives.
  • jrphilfanjrphilfan Member Posts: 6
Let me qualify this post by saying that my brother-in-law had purchased a 2008 Infiniti and DID receive the amex referal offer in the mail - but it expired after 6 months, so we could not cash in on the deal.

After calling the program hotline and inquiring, I learned that only a select group of people who purchased in the previous 12-18 months or so (don't know what the selection criteria were) received this offer in the mail. Searching for a partner on this board after a recent purchase is fruitless in my opinion - most people who had the codes and wanted to cash in have paired up with someone looooooooooong ago.

So can we just stop with the posts on this? Thanks.
  • m6userm6user Member Posts: 3,181
We bought our Infiniti several years ago and recieved the offer so I believe the info you recieved was incorrect. Paired up about two months ago and just recieved the $150 Amex card about two weeks ago. I agree with you, at this point trying to pair up on this forum is a waste of everyone's time.

The problem is that people that come here and post the Amex request don't bother to read any prior post, so your post will fall on deaf ears.

i see a lot of posts of people getting new 2009 g37 sedan with premium and nav package at mid to low $33k. What would be a good price for a used 2009 g37 with 8000 miles with the same options?
  • mefromflmefromfl Member Posts: 32
    Ok,

I got an offer for $35890 for G37 09 with prem and navigation.

Does that sound ok? I see people can get it for 33k, this is just an online special price for me.

I'm also trading in a car, how do I know what's the best price to trade in my car for and if i should negociate on trading the car price first or the car i'm buying first?
  • rayjr75rayjr75 Member Posts: 9
With AMEX autopurchase plan the 09 G37 sedan with prem, nav is $33.8k and coupe with prem, nav is $36.8k.
  • hollandoghollandog Member Posts: 36
    What's an AMEX autopurchase plan?
  • rayjr75rayjr75 Member Posts: 9
if you have an AMEX card, then you can go to an online site and they will give you a price on vehicles negotiated ahead of time. no haggle pricing. was the price given for a sedan or a coupe?
  • mefromflmefromfl Member Posts: 32
i have lexsus gs350 and when i touch the handle of the car, i can unlock it and when I push the start button, the car comes on, and the keys stays in my pocket the whole time

is this the same for the 09 g37? how come I see some pick where you have to insert the key?
  • members78members78 Member Posts: 140
yes, most models come with keyless. however, for 09 i believe the journey model without premium does not include keyless. and even with the keyless system, one can still use a key to enter and start the car, for whatever reason.

i never thought using a key was much of a hassle, but now i realize what a convenience it is.
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
Is it easy to find on the AMEX site? Will a search easily find it?
  • members78members78 Member Posts: 140
go to zag.com and click on AMEX
  • lgulgu Member Posts: 4
Hi, I have an AMEX card redemption code available. To qualify, you must have purchased your Infiniti between August 28 and November 30, 2009. If you are interested, please send me an email at silent9breaker@yahoo.com with the following information:

note: This promotion is not limited to just the G37, as far as I know, any Infiniti vehicle should work.

2009 G7xS automatic, with premium, navigation and sports package, splash guards, cargo net, and trunk mat. MSRP $42,480. Dealer is offering $36,000 plus TTL. Although I was inclined to wait for the 2010's, this seems like a good deal. Do you agree? Anyone paying less?
  • members78members78 Member Posts: 140
if you are paying nearing invoice for the car before the incentives, then that's a good price. i paid 36.6k for my Xcoupe with nav, cargo net and 3 oil changes.

i noticed you are looking at the tsx as well. how do these two compare? i owned a 1st-gen tsx and loved it, but haven't had a chance to drive the new one.
