Let me know how this goes as I am also on LI and looking at the G35x.. THanks alot
Rick
I test drove the car at lupient first but warned them right away i was looking at other cars as well (i actually had a bmw on hold). lupient would not even quote me a price over email later that week.
I am picking up the car this evening.
I guess the buying experience has a strong correlation to the the sales person.
Good luck with your car as well.
05' G35 Base with Sunroof
I woudl be leasing it for 36 months and they offered me $389 a month with $1295 due at signing. Let me know what would be a good number to shoot for.
Thanks in advance
I spoke with a couple dealerships that has this car in stock. The dealership in SF (Serramonte) offered $1000 over invoice. The thing was, they had the car, but they couldn't sell it because they already agreed to ship it to another dealership. I didn't think the offer was good enough anyway.
And I went to the Oakland dealership, they just opened last Monday, and they said they're the ones who can give me the best deal because they're new and they're trying to get their name out. After a good amount of negotiating, the best offer they gave me was $35,000 OTD.
After calculating this.... $31500 (invoice) + $2607 (8.25% tax) = $34,107.I don't know how much licensing costs, I'll just say $200, then that leaves about $700 over invoice price. I told them I would at most pay $34,500, which should be invoice plus tax and licensing. Am I pushing it?
After much research, I noticed most people can get it VERY close to invoice. Now, I dont know where you've been researching but that is an incredible deal if people get it for about 31500, even 1000 over invoice would be really good. I just bought a car like exactly like the one you want but instead of sunroof, it had 800+ dollars in aero wing/side diffusers/ etc. add ons. MSRP for my car was at 34600 + Taxes + Dealer Fees (dealer fees should be NO more than 350 dollars, they reduced them for me once we "cut to the chase") I basically got it for like 33300 from 34600 (no more than 1300 discount) and I was told by other owners that it was a VERY GOOD DEAL. Other factors come into play BUT for the car you're looking for, you don't have much room to negotiate (if you really want it, you know its rare!)
Still, if they say 35000 OUT THE DOOR PRICE, you're getting a $38K car for 35!? What are you waiting for!? haha
Translated into a lease: 39 months/15,000 miles, $469.16 /month. $0 down, No security deposit, no acquisition fee
Is it time to purchase or can I squeeze more out of them?
I'm trying to get a similar deal around Philly for a base G35x with sunroof -- sale price of $32,060.
Every dealer I've called to date insists that there is no way they can waive the bank fee -- its charged by Infiniti, and the only way out of it is if the dealer "eats" the cost (extra $550).
I can get away without the security because I have a current lease on an Altima out (or so I've been told).
Also, can you give us your total lease breakdown? Here's mine as it stands now -- I know it has to be a whole lot better to get me driving, but I am very curious to see the numbers they are giving you.
For everybody posting their lease deals here -- residuals and money factors would help a lot, because a $200 sales price difference does not make anywhere as much difference as a 0.5% interest rate, and Infiniti financing told me the dealers have the final word on the money factor/interest rate...
Thanks
This lease is calculated in Philly, with 9% sales tax and local DMV fees as listed.
Inception:
FIRST MO $444.86
TAGS 133.50
BANK FEE 550.00 (INFINITI'S)
TAX FEE 51.33
TOTAL: $1,200
MSRP = $34,330
Cap cost (sales price) = $32,060
Residual % for 36 mo = 60% / 39 mo = 59%
Money factor = .00218 = 5.23%
35 monthly payments of $464
or 38 monthly payments of $445
The best quote is 34360, MD Tax would be 1786, Tags 225, Doc fee/dealer fee whatever you call it 295. Total 36666 OTD. How does it look, please help. Geekay
I just got an email from Southwest Infiniti in Houston. It says:
"JUST ANNOUNCED...
Memorial Day Sale on both the 2005 G35 sedan and FX35.
Only $250 over true dealer cost.
And special interest rates, too: 1.9% for 36 months or 2.9% for 48/60 months.
But hurry, the offer ends 5/31/05."
Take it for what it's worth, but if you do all the calculations it seems this would be the best place to buy. They have a ton of G35's and FX35's in stock. Hope this helps.

There are hundreds of companies on the VPP list. I didn't know my company was on the list until my dealer gave me the pone number to check. If you work for a medium or large company it may be worth your while to call 800-299-4753 to see if your company is on the list. You can still get the low Infiniti finance rate on top of the lower price.
Its funny that this was posted today. I got the same e-mail and went to West Houston Infiniti to check it out. I spoke with the Internt manager about this promotion and heres the skinny on this offer:
There are a few things that you should know concerning this promotion. The "true dealer cost" is NOT the same invoice cost as shown on Edmunds. This dealers "true delaer cost" includes dealer add-ins like wheel locks, the 2 yr/24000 "free" maintenance and other costs like two seperate detailing charges, a $250 charge with the name - owner satisfaction program, some other $200 charge that even the Internet Manager admited was pure profit for the owner, a $20 fee for undercoating and even a $28 charge for your "not so free" gift basket.
So, if your thinking that the cost quoted is Edmunds invoice, then you will be unpleasently suprised when it actually comes in around $800+ higher than the Edmunds invoice price.
In the internet sales managers defense, he was very low pressure and upfront with the pricing information and showed me everything on the screen.
Here is what he quoted me for a 2005 G35 with the premium "c" package: 32,891.65 +TTL. MSRP is $35,110 and TMV is $33,760. Does this sound like a good deal or could I do better (closer to invoice) by shopping around in Dallas or maybe another Houston dealership that is not so fee crazy? The sales manager seemed to imply that all dealerships did this, but I'm not so sure of the validity of his statement.
BTW, i also found out the West Houston Infiniti also owns Clear Lake Infiniti, so that only leaves a few others in Houston that may be worth visiting.
Thanks in advance for the feedback!

The 6 speed is a different story. I located two within 150 miles and they would not even consider shipping them to my dealer, as both were pre-sold. My dealer had to order my car off the assembly line.
I wish I liked the AWD drive version so I could take advantage of the price, but I'm hooked on rear wheel drive and manual transmissions (also like the small boost in HP to 298). I'll have to settle for a coupIe of hundred dollars over invoice. I have an AWD Honda SUV for snow days. Spring, summer, and Fall I like to drive top down in my yellow 2002 BMW Z3 3.0i. I'm trading my 2001 Miata 6 speed for the G35, so I won't lose the rear wheel drive or 6 speed fun.
Best wishes on your G35. It's a great car at a great price.
Thanx,

Be warned of West Houston if they are owned by Clear Lake....I recently had a horrible experience at Clear Lake. I was mislead and told they had the coupe I wanted and was given a great price. When I got there they had a sedan for me and then tried to get me to agree to a 6 yr financing to purchase what I had wanted in the first place with a $2000 mark up from the price I was told over the phone. I drove from SA to Houston and was badly treated and disappointed. I know for a fact I am buying my car elsewhere. Just wanted you to know my experience, it was bad bad bad....
I finally pulled the trigger on a lease and here are the terms (for better or worse):
2005 G35 sedan with premium package and wood trim. Leasing through Infiniti Finance. $0 down (apparently required $550 "bank fee" is being rolled into the lease). 39 months/15,000 miles 59% residual .........$458 per month, includes 6% tax. Agreed sales price for car is $32,679
I'm just glad it's over and I'll be driving it soon....
Just got a Black on Graphite G35 AWD base w/ trunk mat & spare for $29,995. That's about 830 bux below invoice. I drove all the way from VA to purchase. No haggles, no tricks, just pure and simple dealing. I was able to also get 2.9% financing for 60 months. I'm a very happy customer. Ramsey treated me like a customer should be treated. Respect. Although it took 5 hours just one way, it was worth the hassle due to the crappy dealers in VA. Happy hunting everyone.
Today I signed for a 2005 2 door coupe automatic with sport package, premium package, splash guards, aero (rear spoiler and diffusers), and a trunk mat in Athens Blue. I paid $35,500.
I pick it up on Monday.
Also, they keep telling me that that 1.9% for 36 is going to disappear any day now. Any thoughts on whether this is going to continue into June?
Thanks!
Sorry wrong dealership in houston. I am still looking for a G35 coupe...I got a price of 33.4 for base model with sunroof and splashguards. that is still 1800 over invoice.
The sales person was very low-key, relaxed, no pressure, somewhat inattentive to detail. The finance guy was more high-pressure - I firmly and politely declined all the extras - extended warranty, vehicle service contracts, etc.
The only thing that seems a little strange is that I've had no follow-up communication from the dealer or sales person, other than an email from the dealer that apperared to me to be more tied to the lost-key retrieval program - the email was from fetch365.com. No thank-you call, no "is everything OK" call. I did receive a survey from Infiniti.
Overall it was a fairly painless experience. And I love the car.
Anyone have experience with adjusting the interest rate on a lease? The sales manager said that it's not very flexible, but i'm not sure I buy that.
Did you look in the Lease forum? It provides great info on leasing.
Your payment seems high to me.
I've been looking into leasing a G35 sedan for 39 months/39,000 miles. Money factor currently is .00179 through Infiniti, which the dealer will try to increase in order to make some additional money...don't let them...I think I recall a posting saying that the money factor on the coupe is a little higher -- possibly .00199. Check with Car_man in the Leasing forum.
When looking in the lease forum, you may also want to look at the money factor and residual value for the new 2006 M35. You may be able to get one of these for $609 a month if you get some give on the purchase price. I don't know the difference between the G35 and M35...I had just noticed while doing my research that the M35 seemed to have great residual values.
Good luck!
It's black on black, with the premium A (the only one apparently available with the 6MT), XM radio, splash guards, and trunk mat.
Total price (before taxes etc.) is $32,290 on the VPP plan (works out to about $175 over invoice). MSRP looks to be around $35,100.
I'm doing the 36 month purchase plan with the 1.9% financing. Total month payments (with 0 down) are going to be $984.
It took my dealer a couple of weeks to find, but it was well worth the wait!
my car:
Lexus ES330 10,200 miles
verbal quote of roughly 25,800 trade in
my only options in the car are the leather/wood steering wheel
and 6 disc (non levinson) changer
their car:
04 G35 Sedan Automatic in Silver
12,000 miles , originally purchased in April 04, with plenty of warranty left
I have not seen the car, talked to salesman on phone
Im not too familiar with the options but he told me all the options (BOSE, HID, dual power seats, etc, spoiler ) with the exception of NAV
their asking price is 27,990 which he said is "slightly" negotiable.
ive checked edmunds only and the price sounds fair, i wasnt sure exactly what options the car had and the salesman said that the car was in MINT condition (as expected)
BUt anyway, im willing to pay 1,500 difference plus tax, etc for the trade,
how does it sound?????
i guess i wont know till i get there tomorrow.
P01 Premium Package
U01 Infiniti Navigation Package
R95 Aero Kit w/Rear Spoiler
I don’t know if it matters but here are the color schemes I was looking at
Black on Graphite Interior
Athens Blue on Wheat Interior
Diamond Graphite on Graphite Interior
I live in the Bay Area (California) so if someone who has bought one from around here could tell me their experience (dealer, salesperson etc) that would help too. Thank you.
I just drove 7 hours each way to Ohio to pick up a brand new 2004
G35 Couple 6-speed, it was the cheapest one i could find with the
color i wanted, the Brillaint Silver, with graphite interior and 6 speed,
it has the 18inch rims, brembos which are standard, and the Premium
package with dual climate, homelink, etc
I paid 29,350 total for the and got the 2.9% financing for 60 months,
how bad did i get taken?

I just got a diamond graphite with black leather G35x (AWD) with premium C pkg in seattle area. I paid $34,000 ( not including taxes and title). The dealer was very insistent on selling me a chip guard protection film from 3M. it is a film applied on the hood and mirrors. he was quoting me about $1000 for it and said that it would have a 4 year warranty and it wud prevent chipping. the warranty wud cover any paint chippings and the headlights too. does anybody know about this? it is worth the money paid? I went to the chip guard website and saw that it only costs about $500. can I get this from outside and get it professionally installed and if i do, wud it void any manufacture warranty?
Thanks,
Thanks,
Michele
6-Speed sedan, Black with Wheat interior
Premium package, Splash guards and trunk mat
MSRP = $34690 + $500 for an unnecessary paint sealing deal (aka dealer profit if you end up paying for it)
Edmunds Invoice = $31770
I paid $31950 before TTL
The internet salesman was very easy to work with, even though I bugged him for quotes for far too long. I shopped the Chicago area as well as the other dealer in our area and this was by far the best price I could locate. I'd recommend working with them, just pay attention to their $500 paint charge.
Now I just have to wait for the car to come in, hopefully it doesn't take the full 90 days they said it could. How long has it taken others to get their cars that have ordered them?
Thanks.
