I'm trying to finalize on an in-stock offer of 500 below invoice G35X Prem pkg C Navigation system ,wood trim ,mud guards ..... 35,500 before tax, title, etc.
If yours is in-stock it's too close to end-of-month to pay over invoice IMO.
I am moving from Ct to Cali, and am selling my car here. I am looking to lease a new g35 sedan six speed, with premium package. I got quoted 31200 from Infiniti in Santa Monica, but have heard of Grubbs Infiniti in Texas, and the VPP program (which allow for company discounts). Considering I just want to lease and return the car at the end... anyone have any recommendations, or price comparisons, I can work with for comparison. I would appreciate any help... I just got out of school, and every penny counts... so if i can get this car under 30K i think ill be a happy camper.
Check with the dealer: Infiniti has 1.9% to 36 months, 2.9% to 60. Bought a G35X with Premium C, wood and Sirius radio at $250 over invoice + 2.9% for 60 months.
hi new to posting here, but following for a while Just went to a dealer today for G35x with premium package, splash guards, and i think trunk mat
The dealer invoice apparently comes out to 30167+3016+58+610 (last destination fee) total being $33,851
I gave an offer of about 33,500 to one dealer who wasnt quite ready to negotiate unless I bot it today, but I think he would of given me that price had I really pushed him. But he seemed to say "I would have to speak to my manager". IT IS THE END OF THE MONTH YOU KNOW!
emailed several dealers. ONe said they cannot give me that price, which is below invoice. They would sell it to me at 500 over dealer cost! Get outta here. AVOID INFINITI OF WILLOW GROVE!
Ive seen several people here get $33,300-33,700 for same vehicle!
Whats going on in the philly area? I told them i am not going to pay invoice, if anything, a maximum of 100-200 below invoice is my final stand. Inputs appreciated. thanks yassy
You wrote, "invoice is 30,167 + 3016 + 101(for premium, + splash guards)This brings total to 33284."
That's close, but not quite accurate (please see invoice pricing at edmunds.com). Base is indeed $30,167, and your numbers on the options are correct. However, you left out the Destination Charge of $610 (once again, see edmunds.com).
The correct invoice on the car you've described is $33,894. Actual dealer cost is $34,038 (invoice + $144 PDI).
I will sell any G35X Sedan you select at $500 over dealer cost, plus tax and tags.
Dealer holdback is not negotiable.
With American cars dealers, holdback is inflated and is, in fact, extra profit. Holdback on import cars is minimal and allocated to paying for the dealership's floor plan and operating expenses, not to profit.
I'm afraid that "Around $32K" is not doable, since it's under both invoice and dealer cost. No Infiniti dealer can sell you a G35X under invoice unless it's a 2004 leftover, as I'm sure you can understand.
i havent got much on feed back so wondering what i can expect for the best deal on a 05 6mt sedan with premium.... got offered 31200 selling price in santa monica... i wanna do a lot better... or is that askin too much. I wanna know if anyones got VPP prices on that or any thing better this year... as a basis of comparison. thanks
Can I expect to get less then a 1000 over invoice for the G35 coupe? I had a dealer tell me they would give me a selling price for 1000 over invoice? Is that a good deal? I am going to back tomorrow to do some more negotiating...
The catch may be "...any G35X Sedan...", and of course you're getting the sales point of view ; if you get one in stock before monthend, I think $500 under invoice , or even less, should be feasible. I now have two quotes $900 and $700 under invoice (see earlier post) including dest., but before taxes & such. Could depend on state - is there a neighboring state you can write to, just to show to your dealer?
""Invoice: $31,697 Edmunds TMV: $32,972 My Price: $30,969
So I paid $33,700 out the door.
What do you guys think? "
----------------------
Damn, you got fleeced! Hehe, $700+ under invoice, great deal; more importantly, you bought it, congratulations.....doesn't matter what anyone thinks... Enjoy the car.
Hi I just did consumer report check There is a consumer rebate listed thru 6/30/2005 of $2000 on G35x. It then says "1.9-2.9% financing in leu of the rebates. "
Does that mean rebate of 2000 still good, or only financing catch available now.
If 2000 rebate still good, more bargaining power. i trust consumer reports
Check out my post #2461 and post #2462. We purchased similar 2005 G35 6MT Coupes for $400 over invoice. You may be able to get an automatic a little cheaper. If they started at $1,000 over invoice, you know they have some room to move down. I really depends on how bad the dealer wants to sell the car. Good luck.
Looking at Edmunds Incentives & Rebates, it only shows me the low APR financing, no rebate column. I don't have access to Consumer Reports, but I think the $2,000 may be available to dealer if customer doesn't finance? I don't know. Other cars with rebate/financing option, clearly advertise low APR OR rebate.
If you clearly see $2000 or 1.9-2.9 through 6/30/2005 on Consumer Reports, you could take a print-out to dealer.
The dealership I'm working with is giving over $500 below invoice at 1.9% financing; I can't see them go $2,000 or $2,500 below invoice if I pay cash. I've to go sign up at Consumer Reports, possibly, to find out more.
I agree, the whole sales model is a mess. I'm for something like the Saturn or software "open-source" model.
Tell me what it cost the manufacturer, what the dealer profit is, what the salesman gets, item by item, I'll be glad to pay; I should also be able to pay a salesperson the equivalent of a "tip" (~after I read the Confessions of a Salesman article on Edmunds~). Take away all this crappy time-consuming hair-wasting number-crunching process out of it.
Oh, back to the $2000 lol, any way to call Consumer Reports and ask?
I got my 2.9% for 60 months loan thru Infiniti. I didn't have any fees added.
If you know the exact amount you want to borrow and the interest rate, you can get an amortized payment schedule on bankrate.com. You'll be able to see your exact monthly payment total and total principal/interest paid monthly, annually, and end of loan term. Print it out and bring it to the dealership with you. If the numbers don't match, then be wary.
The 33,500 quote for Prem C + splash guards, you got that over phone, right - per your earlier post? If you're at the dealer, you should be able to get it to 33,200 possibly; with the 1.9% financing, you can make up several hundreds by investing in staggered CD's, they're paying 3.5 to 4.5% APR for the 6 month to 2 year term. If it's the same dealer you're having trouble with already, I think it's going to be an unpleasant experience.
As far as waiting, depends how soon you need the car. I wouldn't wait 2-3 months just to get a few more hundreds off the 2005 car.
You can get all that info from Consumer Reports. CR gives you how much the dealer paid for the car, hold-back, invoice MSRP and now you ready to bargain.
I saw some info from CR posted above, didn't know they had all that detail. Thanks for that info. Good to have the info, but better if they eliminate the negotiating process altogether.
In any case, I settled for a G35X pkg C navig. woodtrim splashguards 35K + taxes etc. , and took the 1.9% over 3 years.
ok The best place that wanted to deal was the dealer in allentown, pa.(bennett infiniti ?spelling) - called me 3x but I didnt pick up. I aint buying just yet
infiniti of ardmore - looks like they are not that anxious to get any bids below invoice - nice people
infiniti of west chester?? They may have sold to me for little below invoice but I didnt want to agree to anything at that time (g35x with pack c, splash guards, ?trunk mat) - nice people
It looks like all dealers are denying the 2000 rebate I printed from Consumer reports. Edmunds does not show it, so either consumer reports is wrong and likely had that rebate for 2004 versions, or all dealers are getting extra 2000 grand from Nissan. (which i know they likely are anyway - no dealer pays invoice)
Got a slate and stone w/ automatic, roof, splash guards and mat.
Invoice 31,148 Price 31,500
You gotta love negotiating the price over email and not having to go through the headache of doing it in person where they leave the room 10 times to talk to the sales manager and get up and walk out only to have them call you back to the showroom.
I'm not that far from philly, I'm having second thoughts about buying at this point (last minute jitters, you know? lol)- it isn't signed, sealed, delivered yet. Over 900 under invoice on G35X pkg C Navig Wood trim Splash guards trunkmat. I lose deposit if I back out. If I can find a potential buyer to switch the order to, maybe the deposit can be salvaged.
I talked to a dealer today about the coupe and it looks like $500 over invoice. That is for the 6MT coupe with prem package. What do you all think? Should I bargain more?
alot of people say how much they got over or under invoice... why not just state the numbers... peoples invoice numbers change and very much so when adding options. I have gotten quoted 31200 on a 6mt sedan with premium and need to know how much better i can do.
Just got back from a dealership this afternoon (charlotte, nc) and got a quote for $1000 over invoice for a '05 6MT coupe with premium pkg (34,420 + ttl) - offered 5.2% over 60 months. Thinking of pulling the trigger. Anyone's thoughts/comments/suggestions are appreciated. :confuse:
where did you get 900 under invoice? I will gladly take that from you! i pay you deposit so long as dealer gives me 33,000 for pacakge c with splash and g35x let me know asap
I hate to say it but I would think you could do better than $1,000 over invoice. I ended up at $500 over invoice and had to wait him out for the last $250. In addition, 5.2% over 60 isn't good at all. I think the rate Infiniti is offering is 2.9% for 60.
Again, I have to be the bearer of bad news but you can do better.
Thanks for the help - I was sure I could do better, but I thought that the finance rate (2.9% over 60) had expired at the end of June, or it doesn't qualify for the '05 Coupe 6MT. Is there any way that I can confirm this finance rate, or do I just have to push for it? The dealer didn't seem to want to budge below $1k over invoice - I mentioned that others are getting it for 500 over invoice and they were blown away. Should I check out other dealerships?
What kind of down payment should u expect to make if your income is 50k and u have a credit bureau score from 560 experian to 610 transunion...I dont care about interest rate .im more worried about amount of down payment or if can even get financed...Can you ask the dealer to have only lenders that deal w/ transunion since that is my highest score..please help
I have been shopping for a new '05 MT Coupe, with Prem, Aero, NAV, Splash guards, that has an MSRP of $39,250. As best I can figure it will hav an invoice (as best I can figure) of $35,962 for a dealer profit of $3288 + $633 dealer holdback = $3,921. I have contacted at least a dozen dealers in Oklahoma, Texas, Las Vegas and California. The MOST that any of them have been willing to discount from MSRP is $1,500 and every one of them have said that the special financing is available only on the sedan, not on the coupe.
The forum rules say you may include dealership names. Could somebody please give me names/locations of dealerships selling MTs for $500 over invoice? I am ready to buy now and can pay cash if I have to but I am just not finding the deals that other posters to this forum are claiming.
And are ALL these salespeople I have been talking to just lying about the financing?
It's called SALES... or, if you play poker, it's called a POKER FACE. Of course they tell you nobody will sell for $500 but that's because they want to make more money. I have several dealers at $500 over invoice. I believe with some work you can get them lower. Anyway, call Niello Infiniti in Concord, CA. I am not sure if I can give the guy's name that quoted me $500 over so just call them and I am sure you can make it happen. Good luck!
For the guy above making $50k trying to buy this car... might I suggest you buy a car you can afford? Those payments will kill you! Go buy a house instead. Better investment and, as long as you are decent looking, you don't need the car to get l**d.
Niello Infiniti in Concord, CA is excellent! If you bring in a CR print out, they will give you a good deal because you have done your home work. They seem to respect that.
If anyone knows of a dealership closer to Oklahoma that will deal please let me know. The dealers here say that there are only 2 cars in the 5 state area here in Diamond Graphite, Black interior, 6 speed and fully equipped.
And what about the special Infiniti financing: the dealers here swear that it is not available for the coupes. Can someone name a dealer who says otherwise?

The dealer said he has never heard of this rebate. I was going to pay 32000 max wiht that rebate. I am calling infiniti today to find out about it.
I did get quote for g35x with premium and splash for 33,500 over phone
Another dealer would not even sell for anything below 33,700.
I say people ban together to screw these infiniti dealers or wait till sept/october when infiniti will be pushing to get the new 2006 models in.
Dealers are scum

thats about 400 under invoice
Good deal?
I also was a bit perplexed at a 2000 consumer rebate that consumer reports says on its website, however, dealers deny it.
Should I wait till the new 06's start coming around and bid on the old 05's?
thanks
yassy
As far as waiting, depends how soon you need the car. I wouldn't wait 2-3 months just to get a few more hundreds off the 2005 car.
That's about what I paid, and the dealer had to trade with someone from your area to find me the car (very similar car -- "C", '05x, NAV, etc.)
In any case, I settled for a G35X pkg C navig. woodtrim splashguards 35K + taxes etc. , and took the 1.9% over 3 years.

Not a fantastic price but I think its fair.
Is G35 coupe equiped with a 298 hp engine, and is that why it is a little more expensive than the sadan?
Invoice $30,148
Paid $30,500
