I am shopping for G35's and found a nice car at a local dealer (who sells only luxury cars) with a good price - 2005 G35 20k miles with Permium package/Navigation for 27K. but the catch is this is a buyback car or a Lemon car. The reason mentioned by dealer it was brought back by dealer was some "airbag light" pblm. can someone please give some their thoughts on buying a lemon car? is that ok to buy a lemon car and if so how much can I start negotiating the price. I am confused as it is a too good price of g35 for those options any replies on this is really appreciated... thanx

Thats the same I got - Its not impressive. They can do better - Seems about the price for something between 20-25K miles.

    Hey!

No dealer fee? How did you get around that?

Can you tell me your monthly payment?

Thanks! I am trying to work a deal on the SAME car.

Do you understand what "lemon laws" are for and how they operate? If not, I strongly recommend you get educated before considering a car with this type history. Have you ever heard the saying "If it looks too good to be true, ...?".

Generally, lemon laws are the state-approved remedy for a problem that cannot be resolved under warranty. The laws are at the state level, each state sets their own criteria. Any car re-purchased by it's manufacturer under a lemon law provision probably has exclusions on record for whatever factory warranty may still be available. A check of the VIN with the service department at an authorized dealer will probably confirm the warranty situation.

As a general rule, do the warranty check on any used car with remaining factory warranty if the car is not being sold by an authorized dealer.

I just read someone got in northern NJ 2006 premium package and truck mat, and trunk cargo net $450/month - $1,500 at inception and 12k miles.
My deal I feel is significantly better from Salerno Duane Infiniti in Denville (internet dept.) I did the deal completely on-line with 2 e-mails.
$454 a month which includes tax, 15k miles, $1,300 at inception which includes 1st months payment and 1 year free 3 (3 oil changes included free) It is an '06 with premium package and sirius satellite radio and wood package. I have yet to see anyone come close to that. I have had the car 3 months now and am greatly enjoying the car. It is very sporty. Even though the HP is more than my old '02 Maxima which was 255 hp, this is 280 hp. I feel I got a great blast off effect from my maxima.

Was this a two or three year lease? What was your MSRP and cap reduction? I am struggling between a 12k ad 15 k lease. If I could get a 15K for what you got I would do it, especially with only $1300 at inception. Not sure how you did this, but way to go.

I currently drive an '03 G35 sedan I bought the first month it was out and love it. Thinking about an '06 Coupe AT with Premium package (maybe nav). Anyone have recent experience buying in the Atlanta area? I think the car can be had for around invoice, but don't want to spend lots of time between dealerships. Any comments welcome!

How does this shound. I think it helps cause its the end of the month but i want to make sure i'm getting a decent deal. 2006 G35 sedan base model bk on bk sticker $33,975. Terms are 24 months 10k. Walk in with $615 total and a monthly payment of $389 plus tax.

I'm looking for a 36 month lease with 10K miles per year on a G35X. Options are Premium Package, Nav., Sirius Sat Radio, and splash guards. MSRP is $39,670 invoice is $36,273. What would be a fair price to offer. Anyone know the rate factor and residual.

    Thanks.

Hi there. I'm also driving a 2002 Nissan
Maxima. I'm also interested in the G35 coupe,
along with some other vehicles, i.e., New
Maxima, TL, as my lease will end soon. I'm
interested in the same features that you got
on the G, except I'd like to get it with the XM satellite radio. I already have it on my Max, and I play it through the cassette player.
It sounds like you're getting a great deal!
I'm not sure I understood the last part of
your letter though. Are you saying the Max
feels just as quick acceleration-wise? (This would not surprise me at all though! The Max is quick!)

I have not been able to get the IFS money factor or residual for 39m 12k lease for the 2006 6MT sedan from Car_Man. So, I am hoping you guys will help me out. Thanks!:)

    MSRP: 35,750
    Cap Cost: 33,602
    Residual: 57%
    Money Factor: 0.00156

I plan to do the lease very soon -- by the end of the week. So I would appreciate an early response.

Hello all. I am new to these boards and have found reading them to be greatly informative as I get nearer to my car purchase.

I am looking @ the G35 coupe with Auto trans and sunroof. Other items are not high on my priority list (premium package, sport tuned package), but I am interested in opinions.

But I have questions, as many do. And I hope I am not rerepeatinghings that have already been asked/answered here.

    1. What is CAP cost?
    2. What is a good deal considered on the car, with trade in (about $2500 BB)? 10% below sticker? 15%?
    3. The 2007 model is due this year, when?
    4. What do people find is the average MPG? I find people saying anywhere from 15 to 27.
    5. Upkeep costs?
    6. How easy is it to upgrade the stereo? I have an MP3 player (not an IPod) I would like to mount it with a good stereo. JVC makes a headunit that has USB on the front to charge/control all USB MP3 players.
    7. What other cars are cocomparableo the G35 coupe? The Lexus is too expensive and the Mustang isn't on the same level (IMHO).

I thank all for ththeirpinions and their help.

    1) CAP cost is a lease term... It is equal to the selling price plus any other items that are financed into the lease payment...

    2) Read back over the last few hundred posts on this board.

Just bought the g35 coupe premium, sport, aero, and "protection" package (wind deflector, locking nuts, clear bra) for 35800. I think it was a fair price.
  • no_clever_nameno_clever_name Member Posts: 5
For $32300 from Sheehy Infiniti in MD, before taxes et al, but including destination. That was substantially below the other two dealers I spoke to, plus they were the only ones outside of Florida with the color I wanted (red).
  • onslowonslow Member Posts: 4
Automatic with premium pkg, nav, wood pkg, splash guards, trunk mat, and XM satellite radio for 36,300 + Tax. That's what I'm being offered right now and the salesman is claiming that it is at invoice.

Hi all.. new to the board but browsed around for awhile and it seems as if people are totally into their G35s (probably why they use this board). Am looking for 1 36 month lease with low miles, and was wondering about current specials? The website, unlike other cars, is evasive. Any thoughts?

The lease on my current car expires at the end of June. I am contemplating either a 2006 Acura TL or a 2006 G35X, 4 door sedan. My first stop was the Infiniti dealer who gave me the following first offer on the G35X:
    MSRP: 37,600
Cap Cost: 34,911 (he said was 500 over invoice?)
    Term: 39 months
    Annual Mileage: 15,000
    Residual Percentage: 56%
    Money Factor: .00131
    Money Down: 0
Payment w/o local sales tax: 450.00
Payment w/ local sales tax: 480.39

I was told the money factor or "buy rate" is lowest money factor being offered for the leasing programs for the month of June by Infiniti Financial. In other words, there is no spread between what the dealer cost of funds and my cost of funds. I have no idea if this is true or not. In your opinion, is this a fair deal and, if not, where are the areas that can be negotiated to improve the deal? Thanks for your time and assistance.

G35 Coupe, Base/Auto, Diamond Graphite, No options
Costa Mesa Infiniti - internet dude - no trade in.
Paid $31,500 plus tax, license, etc. = about $33,900 OTD
    $10,000 down, financed remaining $23,900 @ 1.95% for 36 mo.
    Monthly payment is $695.
    We love this car.

After two months of watching, waiting and dealing, I finally did it. Bought a G35 Sedan, Prem B, Sport tuned susp, Aero, XM satellite, splash guards and sunroof deflector. MSRP 37,425 selling price $33,115(using VPP through my company). Tried to purchase in Metairie, LA, they would not honor the VPP, so purchased in Baton Rouge, LA. After working with both floor sales and internet sales, highly recommend internet sales, they seem to be a little more straight forward.

    Just purchased a 2005 G35x with package C with 19,000 miles for 24,995.

Congratulations. I hope you have many good years with your new purchase. Do yourself a favor and insist that the dealer put on new brake pads and rotors in the front. I'm hoping that you won't have the same problems with the brakes as other G35 2003 and 2004 owners have had. Good Luck.

I'm being offered a lease on an 06 G35 coupe with Premium, Navi, Splash Guards, Trunk Mat, Sirius (don't even want the Sirius but that's the car on the lot) ...

Selling price 35503... I'm told this is 500 below invoice...

    I'm trying to get oil changes/maintainance/car washes - whatever I can, really - thrown in .... it's a 2 yr lease ..

What other bargaining chips can you guys think of...?

What is the rock bottom lowest price someone has gotten a new G35 coupe for? I am looking to spend $29,000. Is this possible?
  • cagormcagorm Member Posts: 40
There is currently $2,000 in marketing support on the G35 sedan. Does anyone know if the marketing support is not valid on leased vehicles?
  • alleykat26alleykat26 Member Posts: 5
    It is for purchase only.
A couple of dealers in Dallas mentioned a possible "tax break" beginning next week. Any idea what that means?
  • one17one17 Member Posts: 6
Test drove a G35 6MT sedan and auto. Love the 6MT - big improvement in acceleration from the auto. I bought it at $30K in orange county - CA. It was with premium package with wheel locks and trunk mat - MSRP over $35K. Thought it was a good deal. Good hunting!

    Hello All-

I now plan to buy a G35X in the next few month. The only option I want is sunroof. Does anyone who lives in MA/NH have the latest buying experience on this model? Can I get close to invoice?

    thanks

Have set my sights on a G35 (hopefully AWD), but can't seem to find used ones without the moon roof. I'm very tall in the torso and need that extra inch or two of head room that the moon roof takes away. I gather that the moon roof is a part of the premium package that almost everyone gets. Any ideas for me?

    Thanks!
  • rajeerajee Member Posts: 29
Well, I signed for it .. I'm paying my last three payments on the previous lease together and turning in the car (trust me, it's smart lol I'm almost over mileage with 3 months left to go yet!)... Plus my deal is 500+ BELOW invoice which I haven't heard anyone comment on but I haven't heard anyone get anything below invoice either... So I'm getting my G35 COUPE WITH PREMIUM PACKAGE - BLACK OBSIDIAN WITH GRAPHITE INTERIOR (black on black). Navi was something I considered but the dealer didn't have it in blcak and overall it was a rip off because it would have been about 700 bucks over two years of lease payments - I'm looking for tips on what Nav system to buy and use (portable, of course).

33567 purchase price ... 2500 total OOP with payments of 389 a month for 2 yr & 12k mi/yr ... first oil change free ... all washes/waxes free if I call my salesman to tell him I'm in the area (wash/wax automatically done when oil is changed, anyway)... :)

Driving my old car in to work and the new one back TODAY!

    Hi all,

I could use some help deciding when to buy. I was originally going to wait until the end of the year and get a new '07 G35x or a great deal on an '06(thinking 2K below invoice), but this 2K dealer incentive is pretty darn tempting. Does anybody know if Infiniti typically offers these incentives later in the year? Should I be able to get a lower price on an '06 now or at year end? Also, the current incentives expire July 5th, anyone know if Infiniti will extend that or increase the incentives in the next few months?

    Thanks for the help.

What dealership in Va is selling at invoice?
Best deal so far is 200 over invoice at Richmond Infiniti on any 2006 coupe auto on the lot.
Infiniti in Chantilly best deal is 500 over invoice. Trying to find an ivory auto with sport, aero, and prem with Wheat interior.

    Hi,

I just came back from a dealership myself 7-01-06. I was offered a G35 auto sedan with premium package C and moon roof. Sticker for the car was $35.8K before taxes, license etc- The internet sales manager offered me the care for $29.9K or $32.5K out the door with %2.95 financing for 36months. All the dealerships are trying to get rid of their 2006's so they get the maximum allocation of 2007 G35 which will be a hot seller.

2007's go on sale November - I suspect any remaining 2006 g35's on the lot you will be able to deal on especially at the end of the month.

    Good luck
  • rajeerajee Member Posts: 29
I would suspect that is the case for the sedans. As for coupes, though, there is no planned major change until '08 so in that case hopefully the money factor is .00216 (what it was last month) and you get a good price on it ... I just got a coupe on lease with that money factor and at over 500 under invoice ...

It's a GREAT car ... loving it so far...
  • needgneedg Member Posts: 13
Thanks for the feedback. I've been dealing with internet sales with no luck. I ask them for detailed quotes and they keep on telling me about great financing and to come in for a test drive, this is of course after I've already told them that I get to drive the thing all the time when my I30 is in for service  . I know the new sedan is coming in November, but when do you think you'd get a better price on an '06, before the '07 sedan arrives or after? The dealer will want to clear space on the lot for the '07 and right now they have a ton, but once the '07 comes out (if it's the bimmer killer it's trying to be) nobody's gonna want the '06. So, when to buy, before or after '07 arrives? :confuse:

To make things even more interesting...

Over on www.vtec.net they've just posted a rumor that the 2007 Acura TL will get an increase in HP from 258 to close to 300 HP. Lots of rumors..FWD/AWD...etc..

With the IS350 up over 300 HP and the new G coming..Acura had to raise the bar. They sell a ton of TL's vs IS/G/3 Series, so it would make sense for Honda to protect this market segment.
  • garydgaryd Member Posts: 4
I bought by 03 G35 as a leftover in Feb 04 and got 6k under sticker with incentive financing. However, one can not predict how long the prior year's stock will last. Good luck!
  • vtengineervtengineer Member Posts: 5
Just purchased an 06 G35 Coupe (Auto, Aero, Sport, mud, cargo, and prem for $140 over invoice. Infiniti of Chantilly was great to work with. I did all the negotiations online and over the phone. They have oil changes for life, loaner car for life, and all maintenance services free up to and including 30k service. Not the best deal posted here but the best I could get in Northern Va.

Love the G35 and am looking towards purchasing a new one soon. However, live in Hawaii and would like to know if anybody has paid below MSRP in Hawaii. Unfortunately only one dealer and likely will be told that is the cost of paradise.

You can try to get the same deal from Infiniti of Pleasanton. I have found their deals and sales people the easiest to deal with out of all the Infiniti dealerships. They will definitely go the extra mile. Their internet sales manager is a good guy. Tell him Anthony sent you. Incentives are done for now I think - I am waiting for the 07's myself. You may be able to get a great deal on an 06 around November.
  • vpking1vpking1 Member Posts: 7
I actually walked out paying a little bit less $36,700. Great experience at Infiniti of Tyson Corners, VA. It was well worth the drive. When the salesperson from Holman calls me for a follow up I will tell them what I paid and I'm sure they will say they would have never matched price.
Tyson Corners didn't try to sell me any add on packages or warranty extensions. As I said an excellent buying experience.

Tried to trade my base '05 G35 Coupe (XM radio only, 7,700 miles) today for an '06 base G35 Coupe. The best the dealer (in South Florida) would do was $25,500 for the '05 and $32,477 on the '06. Based on some of the prices other people on here have paid, I was very disappointed. I walked out, and they didn't even try to stop me. Granted, those cars remain pretty popular down here, but I thought they'd at least try to sweeten the deal a little more.

I have been debating the same thing for a couple of weeks now. Here are my thoughts:
Advantages - Buy 2006 model now versus 2007
    (1) Purchase Price: You can buy at Invoice minus $2000 dealer incentive.
    (2) Depreciation: Value of both vehicles will be almost the same, say, 3 years from now. But you would've paid thousands (+ tax) more for a 2007 vs 2006.
    (3) Reliability: 2006 model is proven, has been refined for the last 4 years and has achieved a level of perfection we may not find in a 2007.
    (4) Modifications/Upgrades: If you plan to do any modifications or aftermarket upgrades, there are numerous options available for 2006 vs it may be a while for 2007.
    (5) Horsepower: If you get a manual (6MT), you're merely looking at a few HP difference.

The 2007 will initially sell at MSRP (maybe more). It won't be until late next year when we'll see any kind of rebates and invoice pricing on the G35, if we see any at all.

    Hope this helps.

I know the markup on new cars is smaller than used. I also know these dealers will get a lot of incentives and money on the back end. Can someone tell me if I am getting a good deal here? 2006 G35 Coupe, premium package, XM radio, splash gaurds, aero (spolier), window tint, chrome wheels for $37,398.00. Any help, opinions or advice is welcome. Thanks!
