Does anyone know what the current residual value is for a 2007 MDX with Technology and Entertainment package? The lease term would be 42 months, 12000 miles per year.
I know that the Tech package alone for the same terms were 54%.
After dealing with numerous Internet Managers and having been told by one that Acura themselves is not allowing them to sell below $2k under MSRP, I got a quote (in PA) from a dealership selling the 07 MDX with the Tech and Entertainment packages for $42,595. I was extermely shocked but none of the other 5 dealerships I checked with came even close.
The related lease quote for that price seemed a tad high. So, I am going to run the numbers myself. Does anyone have the money factor and residual data for a 36 mo lease with 15k miles/yr for this package?
I bought an '04 Touring w/o navigation. Now have 30K miles. Just wanted to pass along my thoughts.
Good Stuff: The ride is very comfortable and the reliability has been great. The service people have been very nice, and they always wash it. I've only used the four wheel drive once, but it was lots of fun. Value seems to be retained pretty well.
Bad Stuff: The car pulls to the right and I can't get that fixed. The sounds system is very poor. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad, but they put in this big ghetto blaster subwoofer in the back and it makes the back end vibrate. It totally over powers the rest of the sound system and I constantly have to fiddle with the nobs to make the music sound good. I saw Consumer Reports rated it very bad as well. I've taken it in three times, but they can't fix it. I listen to talk radio a lot so I can deal with it.
Outside of the pull to the right and the very poor sound system it's a very good vehicle. You can't have everything. I get about 17.7 mpg city/hwy. More like 15.5 in city and 20.5 on the hwy.
I wish they would give you the option of having the third seat or storage capacity. There would be a lot of room there and the third seat isn't all that great.
Dude.....So far, I have got a quote of $40,500 for the MDX/techno which included destination from one of the PA's dealer (Motorworld group, sales person Jeff Intenzo I believe)....If PA is not too far from you then we can get together and try to drag couple hundreds more for two MDXs....let me know gopigold@yahoo.com
Hi thanks for the info , I went to smithtown Acura dealer and got quoted $40,995. PA is too far for me. I'm going to try and get him down a bit more. Did you get the roof rack ? Does any one know where you can get em cheaper , they want $795
According to the Rosenthal Acura Dealership, located in Gaithersburg MD, just north of Washington, DC, the roof rack on a 2007 MDX is $329.40 for the rack and $251.80 for the crossbars. Total $581.20. I guess this is the case even if you do not purchase the vehicle at the dealership. Give them a call and see what the story is if you are in close proximity to the area.
Two dealers actually. Both Piazza Acura in Reading, PA and the one in Montgomeryville. I am sure the one in West Chester will go down and deal the same number as well.
Of course use the internet managers to deal not the floor sales
Hi I went to ebay motors on line and acura of peoria sells the side rails for $165 and to get both $299 (with the cross bars). They have all the items you would want for your mdx and more.
So did you get your deal when you went to pick up your car? I went there and they were higher than another dealer on the other side of the river! And they were hosing me on my trade. Worked with your salesman but he didn't give me any deal.
Hi you did good , I paid $40,990 mdx2007w/ tech that was including destination. someone else got $40,500 including destination. I guess it depends where you live etc. I did not buy any extras as you can get them on ebay motors for a quarter the price .
Just purchased a 2007 MDX with tech package for $40,300 with tech package (destination charge included) - about $4000 less tha Edmund's estimate - it seems like dealers are more willing to make a deal in March rather than February.
I got my 07 MDX with Tech package from DCH Heart acura, Wappingers falls New York. My car was a demo and had 4800 miles on it, I paid $ 37500.00 for it excluding tax and registration. I am loving my car so far. If you are looking for a car with 0 Miles I am sure you can buy it for $40500. While negotiating for my car I had taken a print out from a person who did post a price from Feders Acura MIddletown. DCH people said to me that they will match the price that Feder's promised for a new car. If you are ready to travel 75 miles from where u live in long island i guess you will get a good deal from DCH. The dealership manager Carlos was great. I had a very good experience with DCH. They didn't pressure me to buy extended warranty or accessories on my car. Finance manager Johana was excellent to deal with. If i am buying another Acura I will go to them first.
I finalized my deal and my 2007 MDX with Tech. and Entertainment packages and it is coming this week. I negotiated a price of $43,200, which is $3,000+ under MSRP ($46,365). Contact me at pettisk@gmail.com and I will give you more details.
Would anyone who recently purchased an 07 MDX in the Atlanta area please share your price paid, what options you got and the dealer you used? Any info. on buying experience would be very valuable too.
I contacted Acura 101 in Calabassas, CA through Edmunds. They initiated the email by asking me what I wanted. See the following in chronological order:
1. From me..."I am interested in a 2007 Acura MDX Sport in Nimbus grey with roof rails and running board. I need to know your best price including the MSRP, invoice, cap cost, residual, money factor, and monthly payment on a 36 month lease. It is not wise for me to come in until I know your figures. Thank you."
2. From the Dealer..."Best price is $44,265 plus tax and lic .not including roof rails running boards which adds $1,428. MSRP$46,265.00 Invoice-$42094.73 Cap cost. $45,049.10 resd-59% MF-.00260 payment $737.43 inc tax 36mos. 12k year drive off $2,500."
3. From me..."Thanks but I can do better."
4. From the Dealer..."You will not get a mdx at invoice !!!Or better -may need to buy a Honda crv!!"
Interesting exchange. I don't quite know where he makes the leap from a $737 lease on an MDX to a surely significantly lower lease price on a CRV. Beauty is, you don't have to do his deal if you don't want to (and I am sure you don't...).
The fact is, I am personally turned off of the MDX right now, and when my wife and I are in the market in a couple of months on an SUV, it will not be under consideration unless dealers start dealing a little bit. People are leasing the Lexus RX350 in the $500s, the Volvo XC90 in the high $300s and $400s. Imho, there's just too big a spread pricewise between these cars and the MDX for me to consider the MDX.
There may be plenty of demand right now for the MDX, but Acura may be losing lots of customers by taking such a hard line, and it may come back to bite them. Just my .02 cents.
I won't belabor the point any further except to say where is the respect a salesperson should show to a potential customer. The good thing is that Calabassas is a suburb of Los Angeles and there are many Acura dealerships around.
This Rosenthal Acura in MD is giving me 39,700 plus tax and tag for 2007 MDX/Tech. Check it out if it is not too far from you. I can give you the sales person name if need (gopigold@yahoo.com)
We are considering buying the MDX with the technology package in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. Three questions: (1) what prices have people gotten for the MDX with the technology package, (2) are there any particularly good Acura dealers in the Dallas - Fort Worth area, and (3) are there any Acura dealers that should be avoided? Thank you in advance.
Has anyone gotten a good deal in southern California? How much for a tech? tech/ent? I live in Seattle, but dealers aren't willing to come off of MSRP. Thanks.
I live in Seattle area. A quick check to a couple dealers (walk-in and email5) got me 500 off MSRP. I think 1000-1500 off should be doable with some persistence .. i do notice supply is a little low on MDX in Seattle area at this time though ... so that could be it.
I haven't really done that much research because I am not ready to buy yet.
 I would just forward the email correspondences to the Sales Manager. You're doing him/her a favor by telling that he/she has an unprofessional salesperson. Now you're on his/her good side, you may ask for a better deal :P . Just a suggestion. :shades:

I got $42,200 plus tax for a 2007 w/Tech from a car buying service through our credit union. I contacted two dealers and asked them if they would beat it. Of course, they were willing to beat it by $200, but one included dealer options at way too much and refused to lower price or remove them and the other said they would be beat it, but I had to come in to talk about it. Exactly the reason I used the bank car buying service. Try your bank/credit union, Costco, or AAA. They should all give you lower prices on these cars that popular. At the very least you avoid the idiotic salespeople as much as possible. My credit union and dealers contacted are in Riverside & Orange Counties, respectively.
After dealing with just about all the dealerships in the Philly suburbs the final deal I received for an 07 MDX with Tech and Entertainment was $42,595. The dealership that I finally bought it from was Piazza Acura in Ardmore. Two other dealerships were willing to do the deal with in-stock (obviously) models.
Getting this price did involve dealing with the Internet Managers at about 6 different dealerships.
As an aside, they incorrectly quoted me a 42 mo. lease price but told me it was a 36 mo. lease. So, they had to eat more money. (Seems they just adjusted the residual to accomodate the quoted price as I was watching them make the change, which I thought Honda Financial wouldn't let them do....).
looking to buy a new acura MDX - Sports - Black/Ebony in any of the north-east dealers. Discussing with Four Dealers and the best quote I got was for $43200 ($1000 above invoice). Could any one give me more details like what is the best deal they could get within the past month for the above listed car?Thank you in advance for the information.
Paid $42515 (including destination) for 2007 Tech/RES for in-stock model in NJ. This comes out to Invoice + $420. They are more willing to negotiate to meet month end sales figure. No hard sell on accessaries. Got 10% off on Sport running board and free cargo net.
