No income tax in WA, gotta make up for it with even more regressive taxation.

Prices here are up more than 10% in the last month. Supply and demand, free markets, capitalism, etc at work.

Well CA is one of our red state buddies for gas taxes, but PA still has a bit of an edge ;)

So the underlying GAS costs $1/gal more in CA (roughly)

    Indeed, that’s the best summary/graphic.

@ 500 gal/$ per year, ULSD that’s $42 per mo more. It’s a total rip, whether or not IRS 179 allows deductions are used.

My vote is for the voters who voted for the $1.00 increase to pay for the ones who didn’t want a tax increase or give folks like me tax credits.

The taxes were levied to (allegedly) fix the poorest roads in the nation. RIGHT.....

Paid 3.019 for RUG yesterday. First time in a while I've paid that much for lowest octane gas.
I'm hoping it's not still the winter blend, which should help my MPG.

PUG is $4.02 at my local Chevron, 15 cent cash discount kept it under that vaunted number, but it is now at the price where my Costco card offers more cash back than the discount. Money now or money later.

Still at $3.15 here, $2.99 at Sam's Club

    6 cent drop to $3.09, 8 cents down to $2.91 at Sam's

Paid 3.95 before 4% Costco Citi discount at a Chevron in Olympia WA yesterday. Here's a readout from the first leg of my trip, not too bad for a 4300lb 362hp sub-5 second 0-60 car, I think:

  • PF_FlyerPF_Flyer Pennsylvania Furnace, PAPosts: 9,403
$2.89 in the Reading, PA area

2 hours at 52mph - are you babying that new ride, or is traffic that heavy today? Do you find the vehicle computer mileage reading accurate or inflated? I've had a few rental cars where the computer mileage was off enough compared to a manual calculation from actual's that one of the results became an outlier B)
  • fintailfintail Posts: 53,048
Horrible stop and go for the first half, then cruise at 70 for the second half. I am not sure about the accuracy yet, but by past experience it could be a few percent optimistic. I am heading back to the rat race tomorrow, I will see if the results are different.
  • fintailfintail Posts: 53,048
Last leg of the trip home produced better mpg as there was less traffic (although the Tacoma Dome area was, as usual, a cluster, just a perfect storm of bad planning and poor design able to produce slowdowns and backups at any time):

Topped off the tank with $3.87 Chevron PUG (weekend cash discount) when I got home.
  • sdasda Indian Land, SCPosts: 4,144
On our way to meet my wife’s family for Mother’s Day lunch, near Spartanburg, SC saw RUG at several stations for $2.35, other grades not posted. The Pilot got its typical 21.8 mpg over the round trip of 170 miles. $2.55 RUG/3.06 PUG locally.

Get ready for gas prices to rise, that refinery on fire is the largest on the east coast.

    In Central CT...

$2.739 for RUG at the station where I usually fil up.

Trip meter says 176 miles travelled  and 490 left, but I will need to fill up before heading to the beach next weekend.

Now it IS arrival for a summer session at the university. Arrival weekends always seem to have an affect at the pumps here

Bouncing around pretty good here. Yesterday we had gone down to $2.85, today we're up to $2.95

Paid $2.879 for RUG(includes 6 cents for using credit). I get 5.25% back from my credit card, so it's worth it, plus I don't have to carry $100 in cash to fill up. :)

Down to $2.89 for RUG here. Odd how that always seems to happen the week after the big arts festival every summer :)

I saw $2.66/gal for RUG here in Colorado. Looks to be down a bit from the last time I looked.

(when everyone works from home, the cars get filled up about once a month)

My wife's commute USED to be about 48 miles one way, now down to about 8 miles, so the fillups don't happen as often, maybe every 15-20 days.

I didn't notice PUG, but when I filled up last week, the spread between RUG and mid-grade was something like 30-40 cents.
