The residual is correct, but the base MF is .00118. Given your numbers, I'd say your info is a typo, as it appears they used .00118.

Not many deals on the diesels..

Standard money factor (around .0020) and 59% residual for 36mo, 10K/yr.

If the selling price is the CAP cost, then the monthly payment would be approx $671/mo.+tax.

Standard money factor and 60% residual for 36mo, 10K/yr. They aren't offering any reasonable numbers on the shorter terms.

Is there really such a big difference in the interest rate between the diesel and the gasoline? 0.00118 (2.8%) vs 0.0020 (4.8%)? The residual for both at 36/10k seems to be 59% right.
  • njstealthnjstealth Member Posts: 3
I just leased a 2015 E400 convertible... The MSRP was 72085 and I was able to negotiate 708 down payment(First months payment) and 708 a month. I was quite surprised I was able to get a discount as big as I did as it looks like they lowered the car price to 60813 to make this work.. I only need 10k miles a year and this also includes the prepaid maintenance. This really is a beautiful car I used to drive an SLK ... Such a different ride.

Question for moderator or anyone else. My wife is turning in a leased E350 and wants another one. We will be getting a gas v6 2 wheel drive but loaded (last one was p1 & p2). looking for 15k miles a year 27 mon lease. My question is are the MF and residuals the same for a 2014 and 2015 model year? ( can I get those pls) if not how much of a discount do I need to get on the 2014 to make it the better value. thank you.

Can I get an opinion on the following offer:

    msrp 63,920
    invoice 60290
neg price 56,746 (3500 discount offered thru USAA bank)

    Residual 37,073
    MF .00123
    Acq Fee 1095
prepaid mx rolled into lease for additional $11/month

From what I have read here, I think I can negotiate MF down to .00118 and acquisition fee down to $795

.00123 is the correct MF for a RWD E350. The 36mo, 12K/yr residual is 58%.

As you noted, the acquisition fee is marked up from the base amount.

So.. what is your payment and how much due at signing? State and tax rate?

The base money factor is .00123.

To evaluate your deal, we'd need the selling price and a breakdown of the $4833 due at signing (how much is a cap cost reduction?)

$49,289.97 (supposedly $4k under invoice) Cap cost reduction of $3,499 When I mentioned that the MF should be .00123, he said he had to either increase selling price or bump up MF by 2pts to make it work. Claimed to be only netting $400 with this deal.

With those numbers, I get $447/mo.+tax.. (using .00143 MF)

Of course, you may have additions to the selling price in the CAP cost.. (maintenance and $795 acquisition fee?).

Hmmm...was $495.46 + tax = $545.09/month total. No acq fee, and maintenance was supposed to be included.
Gross cap= $51,509.27 (using agreed upon value of $49,289.97). I see now that the Rent Charge was over $4,200!

Deals are not usually better in January, compared to December.. But, I don't have a crystal ball.. I don't really see them getting worse. The 2015 lease program has been pretty steady, all along.

I apologize in advance for the newbie comment, but I've never leased a car. I have a 2015 E350 wagon on order, and had planned to finance it at 1.9%/72 mos but trying to investigate whether leasing would be cost advantageous because of the added cash flow in the first few years. Here are the numbers I have to work with - can I get an idea of what a 36 or 48 month, 10k/year lease would look like with this info?

    MSRP: $76,690
    Negotiated price: $65,996
    Mileage: 10.000/year
    Term: 36 or 48 mos
$ down: as little as possible
Credit: should be Tier 1 (800+ FICOs)
    Taxes: 9% (California)

If there are too many variables, I'd appreciate any insights you could share on likely money factor, lowest cash I could put down, and the residual on the E350 wagon.

    Thanks.

Standard residual and 62% residual for 36mo, 10K/yr.

Adding $1000 to your selling price for fees, the payment would be about $770/mo.+tax or around $840/mo.

Maybe $1500-$2000 due at signing, to cover 1st payment and registration/title.

Did you really get over $10K off on a wagon that you ordered? That's amazing.
