Your just below 1000 dollars below invoice. If this is your best deal you might have to consider it.

Tell this dealer to split his very high doc fee charge with you and you buy tonight.

    Honda Accord LX
    Sale Price: $19900
    Taxes (8.1%): $1611
    Doc fee: $400
    Registration: $400
    Total OTD: $22311

This includes mud flaps, a trunk tray and something else I didn't care if I get but I got them to take off the price.

I called other dealers in my area and they told me I would never get that dealer to give me that price and they best they could do is $24k.

Tempe Honda was great. Most of the dealers I called were nice enough. However, Right Honda was REALLY terrible. They told me they would beat my price by $300. I had them email me this confirmation. When I got there they told me, they had no idea why someone would promise me that and then sent me MULTIPLE people to try convince me that I wouldn't get that price for that car. The management was VERY rude and I would not suggest it at all. They also quoted me the highest price right off the bat ($26k)

Anyways, how do you guys think I did?

You did very well in a tough AZ market. Minus your doc fee of ( 400 ) from your price and adding the Splash guards , Truck tray, etc. dealer thru in..........all said and done 1500 below dealers invoice is a very good deal in AZ.

    Happy motoring

In Philadelphia area Pottstown dealers are better than dealers in philly areas such as kop, main line, Philadelphia it self, chester county, springfield.
Harrisburg is not a bad option. They could deliver car to you (for no additional charges) without you visiting them if you know what exactly you want.
I bought two cars in last 4 months from Pottstown (MDX and accord EX-L). One was planned and other one bit unplanned (accident).

I'm looking to pick up an accord sport, also in Philly area. Would you share the name of the rep(s) you dealt with.

If you have not purchased a vehicle yesterday wait till end of the 1st week this month for Honda to post there new incentives / rebates for the month.

Accord special financing offer does not expire until 5/11/15, so plenty of time to get your best deal.

    Honda Accord EX
    Sale Price: $21328.43
    Taxes (6.25%): $1333.03
    Doc fee: $150
    Registration: $188
    Total OTD: $23000

Purchased at Honda of Spring. I had sent an inquiry for a used accord sport and got the information. The next day at 10:00AM the New car sales manager sent me an email and asked if I would be interested in the new 2015 accord sport for nearly the same price, $22k OTD with 0.9% Honda financing. I emailed back after lunch and asked him if he would work a similar deal for a new EX at $23K OTD and included the stock and vin# of an Accord EX, from their website. He said he would do that deal, but only if we purchased it that day, the last day of month, yesterday.

Honda of spring was casual laid back, straight forward and a joy to deal with. Jason Jackson was the sales manager. Sales man was Brad Anderson, but I worked the deal directly with Jason. All done over email. They did not have add-ons on their cars, or try to sneak anything into the deal. Good price and 0.9%. I recommend shopping at end of month. I feel like I hit the lottery. I feel it was a good deal because the only other new accord quote I had gotten was for a LX for $23k OTD(from another Honda dealer).

End of the month buying will shift a lot of leverage to the buyer pricewise. . Good job on your purchase.

    sales tax 8.00% 1,944

THis purchase price includes the 1000 dealer incentive

    Sticker 29,240
    invoice 26,817
    our purchase 24,300

wanted to buy for 24000 but no one would budge.

interesting side story is right before we drove 50 miles to
buy it two dealers refused to sell at 24,300 even though we
were face to face. in fact he became sarcastic and said go buy
ten of them. The truth is who knows what the actual dealer price is.
one piece of info. is you can obtain another 500$ if you lease the car.

    good luck everybody
thanks again to @brian125 for all your help

@carro101 Yeah who knows what they really cost.

@Brian125 I really appreciate the guide that you posted above while I was working with the dealership. I saw that you said 1000-2000 below invoice was good, so we drove over and purchased it. Without your rule of thumb I was really wondering. We had only been looking for a car for a couple days. And really did not expect to buy new.

Thanks for your presence on this board. It really helps to read what other people are able to purchase for.

    Help Please.
I'm in the San Jose California area and currently looking to purchase a 2015 accord EX-L or CRV-EX, What is the lowest I can buy this car for? I'm ready to buy by tomorrow if I can locate the lowest price available.
    Thanks.

Accord exl = $1400 to 2000 below dealers invoice is a good target price for you. Most folks in your area are getting close to 2k below. The CRV 1200 to 1500 below invoice is a good price.

I posted a couple up There is no Cash incentives 500 or 1000 dollars going directly to the customer. Last check there was a 1k dealer cash ending May, 11th going to the dealership not the customer on Accords. CRV buyers have a College Grad / military incentive of 500 dollars. New incentives / rebates if any will be posted before the 2nd week.

Special financing remains all year till Jan, 2016

    Friends,

I'm looking to buy a 2015 Accord sedan LX automatic soon in Raleigh-Durham area of NC. I have been internet quoted 21,800 from AutoPark Honda. This doesn't include the $600 doc fee or tax, title or license. Any advice on wether this is a good price or can I do better. Also I understand that .9% financing is over 5/11, is that correct?

    Thanks In Advance,

Hello Brian - With the dealer $1000 incentive ending in may 11'2015 should i feel rushed into making a purchase before that? or do they typically just roll those incentives forward. the reason i ask is that i am going to buy an accord ex model but could not decide whether i should rush into it now or wait till the end of the month. Any thoughts? thank you
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
The 1000 dealer cash could end on the 11th.for good. I can't confirm but one of my intels are saying dealer cash will be reduced to 500 dollars to dealerships. . But again that may change and that's not 100%.

Depending on your area , supply and demand most likely will dictate pricing. What state are you looking to purchase? I will give you a target price to shoot for before the 11th.

Round up the 5 or 10 closet dealerships and shoot the Int/mgr. a email for a immediate sale if you could agree on pricing

800 to 1200 below Invoice . Remember dealer cash is used by there discretion . Some dealers may be using cash to lower sale by only 200 dollars.

If you decide to go into MD. Criswell or Pohanka Honda should net you close to 1500 below invoice this 1st or 2 week.

    Good luck

so with the ex invoice price @24,455 i should target $23200
    ex-l @26,817 i should target i should target $25300
    does that sound right?

Good solid numbers for both you a dealer. Getting a lower price may require harder negotiating tactics. See what dealers have excess of your model on there lots and try to seal the deal with them 1st.

Maybe a quick drive to 2 or 3 dealerships just to see there inventory may help. Just tell dealers your looking so your in an out of there with less hassles. Then work a good price online/ email/ via phone calls to Int/ mgrs. .

My quote on a 2015 Honda Accord EXL Msrp $29,280.00 PP $24,200.00. Up fronts down $656.39, Final negotiated price $25,267.95, 9% sales tax, payment $275.23 including tax. I asked for the residual and the salesperson told me 60%, but that cannot be correct otherwise the payment would be much less.

Is this a good deal. Dealership in Florida quoted me the below price on a 2015 Accord EX-L V6 Coupe with Manual Transmission and supposedly with tinted windows. The car will not be available for purchase for about another month as they say that it is currently scheduled to be built and that is the earliest it would be delivered. Please advise. They are expecting me to put down a $500 deposit to order the car, but I don't want to pay any money until I am sure of the deal. Should price be lowered at all considering that 2016 models will be coming out?

    Thanks!

    Sale price: $27,000.00
    FLA. Lemon Law: $2.00
    FLA. Battery/ Tire fee: $6.50

    Amount taxable on vehicle: $27,707.50
    Sales tax = 6% $1,662.45
    county tax .5% $25.00
Estimated "Out the Door" Price: $29,394.95 plus tag transfer

Your deal would be at 1964 below dealers invoice minus the 699 doc fee. Limited model may be harder to get a better price.

Bad deal...............your paying over invoice plus a 600 doc fee.

Put together a list of 10 closest dealerships. Ask all to sell you a LX Accord for 1600 below dealers invoice or 20,186. that's considering a 600 dollar doc fee charge and would put you at 1k below invoice . This price should be do-able by the end of the month in your area.

Next week there could be another cash incentives/ rebates program coming out by Honda. You have 3 more weeks to negotiate a good price................................................................. DONT RUSH. Last 2 days, last day of the month is where you will make your best possible deal.

If I want to buy today instead of end of month, how close to the 20,186 price Brian recommended to drreid in the above post is realistic? Thanks in advance for advice.

    Here is my suggestion.

Email/ call 5 of the closest Honda dealers speak only to the intent dept mgr. or associates. Let each dealers know You buy today for x price then leave your number. if you cant make x price by days end or by tomm go to closest dealer and buy car. End of story. The LX model should be a easier sale with more models on most dealers lots.

With Memorial Day coming up, would the car deals be any better than waiting a few more days closer to the end of the month? I'm looking at the 2015 Accord LX. I know this may be a silly question but does the color of the car have an impact on the price? Thanks for your input!
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
    vinn682

Certain colors that dealers cant sell as quick or are not moving off lots usually make for a better deal . If its a slow sales month for the dealership end of the month will net you a better deal.

Going into labor day weekend and possible holding out the last couple of days this month will help you find better deals than the beginning of the month or the first 3 weeks.

You should be looking to strike a deal starting on Memorial weekend with a target price of 1k to 2k below dealers invoice in most states and maybe a few dollars below the 2k mark in MA, MD, VA, CA.

    Good luck

    Greeting all.
Up here in the NW. Seattle/Tacoma area. Just made an inquiry on a 2015 Accord Touring via my wife's AmEx auto program. Have three "certificates" from the dealer that will give me a price of $32,037 for the vehicle. Out the door price will be more after taxes, fees and such.

I'm trying to find the invoice price online. Is that available anywhere to view?

    Thanks in advance.

Right at the top of this page click on your make and model follow prompts. Sometimes finding invoice price is confusing w Edmunds. I go directly to @nada.com then follow prompts . I find getting to invoice price much quicker there.

    Hi Brian,
I am planning to buy a 2015 Honda Accord Sport model. I saw the invoice price in US New Ranking as $22572 for a car with MSRP 24,665. The MSRP is closer to what dealers around my area are showing.

However when I went to Nada guides it shows invoice price as $22572 + $820 as the destination charge which brings it to $23,391. Can you please let me know what we can consider as the invoice price?
