Saccucci Honda is a great alternative to purchasing the HONDA CARE extended warranty. If looking to purchase visit their webpage and see if your local dealer will match or come close.
Newbie when it comes to car buying. I'm in the NY/Brooklyn Area and was wondering if this was a good price for an accord sedan sport cvt. I was quoted 22900, before fees and tax. It seems the accord is more expensive around my area. Is this a good deal?
Our area in NY is a tuff market. Getting $1500 to 2300 below invoice like we see in other area's is very hard. Your quote is high. Get more dealerships involved and try to buy closer to the end of the month. Your at under 500 below invoice..... Shoot for 1000 to 1300 below. That's where most good deals lie here in the NY/NJ area.
Call.............. New Rochelle, Yonkers, Friendly, and some of the LI dealers to see who wants the sale.
Hello Everyone. I would like to know if this is a good price on a 2015 Honda accord Sedan Sport. I am in the los angeles area. Here is the break down from the dealer with the best price so far:
Car- 21,699 (This includes destination and handling fee) Protection package (Wheel locks, cargo tray, splash guards) - $200 Tax - 1,978.12 License and Registration- $272 Documentation Fee - $80 New Tire Fee - 8.75
$24,237.87 out the door. I'm putting $7,000 down and the rest is financed through Honda at .09% apr for 60 months.
In colorado, on the western slope there are only 2 dealers within 400 miles. So for the most part I have never been able to deal with them. This year I got my best price for a 2015 Accord EXL 4 Cyl on the internet. 26,125. Asked if they would match it and they said they would but they had a 300 markup fee they would charge. 26,425. Because it was a 6 hour round trip to the dealer that gave me the lowest I went with local. Some of us just do not have the luxury of having multiple dealers in the same region.

Sorry, I forgot to post the dealer for this. I bought from Planet Honda in Union, NJ over Memorial Day weekend. It took some cajoling to get to this price but they were willing to offer a good deal off the bat.
doowadoowa Posts: 1 May 24 edited May 24 Hi all,
In NJ this weekend I got the following on a 2015 Accord EX-L V6, Non-Navi:
Greetings all. By using the great advice found here, I'll begin dealing on a new Accord LX auto. at month's end. I live in southern Minnesota and haven't seen many posts for this area. I'd appreciate any feedback regarding recent deals, a target price, etc. I plan on contacting approx. 15 dealers in southern Mn.(incl. Mpls/ St. Paul), north Iowa, eastern Wi. Thank you.
Hello Everyone, I'm looking to buy a 2015 Honda accord EX the MSRP is $26,650 the internet price that Irvine Norm Reeves Honda gave me was 22,674. . I would like to know if I can still lower the price on the vehicle dealing with the internet manager. Also, I want to install window tint which the dealership offers for $395 (rear windows and rear windshield)... Is it possible to include the window tint in the negotiations... If so, Can anyone provide me with a good and reasonable offer in which the window tint is included. Thank you.
Man Honda worked you over . How could that price be possible from true-car............ OUCH.
Look at the bright side . You bought a great vehicle. Next time you will make a better deal from what you learned. True car is to be used as a starting point not a final price unless there are very limited dealers in your area.
Hi Brian. From a post dated May 29, you indicated there may be some better deals around the 4th. of July. I'm prepared to buy an LX on June 30 (end of quarter) but would wait another week if there's deals to be had. I'm in no hurry. Again, I'm in southern MN.- any thoughts on a target price? Thanks.
End of the 2nd quarter going into July 4th weekend / summer clearance sales could pay BIG dividends on the Accord and most vehicles. Dealers should have more trunk money to push vehicles off there lots cheaper.
If I was buying a vehicle this month I would send out 15/ 20 emails to dealerships ( if possible ) or call on June, 29th after 5pm telling each dealership....... I'm prepared to buy the LX model for x price that moment. Do you want the sale. Leave my number then go down my list. If my target price is not met I would hold out till July 4th, to see who will meet my price or come the closest to it.
I'm not sure what your area's market price will bear in MN. Use the higher end of my Target price Guide as your starting point to buy. ( 2k below maybe alittle to low in your area ) You have nothing to lose except raising price a couple of hundred. Or Shoot for 1800 below to start. Pick a target price and roll with it. Be firm and hold out till the end before making your buying decision. Your in control of these negotiations not the dealers.
$1200 to 2000 below invoice are very good deals depending on your area and dealers stock.
The LX model invoice = $21,786 w dest charge.
Remember..... dealers with high doc fee charges cuts into the below invoice price. Know each dealerships doc fee charge prior to making your offer to buy on that day. ( Call ahead all targeted dealers before you make offers.)
Best price states for Accords............ MD, CA, MA.
I'm in the market to buy a new Honda Accord 2015 EX-L CVT (V4) - Standard Options. It would be in NJ. What should be my out of the door price? Any dealer that you can suggest. My fico scores are above 750. How should I negotiate so that I am given Tier 1 financing (0.9 APR) and not have any tricks played by finance guys.
Cant help you with a OTD price but your target price in NJ should be...... high end 1500 below invoice to low end 1000 below your models invoice before fees.
OTD pricing includes Tax, dmv, and dealers doc fee charge. Your above 750 fico should get you the best finance rates from Honda. ( ask )
EXL model Invoice.........................w / dest charge = $26,817
I'm having a tough time grasping these Residuals and MFs. The rates I found on Cars.com are not matching what the dealership just showed me on the Honda Incentives sheet dated 5/12-7/7. I had 52% and .002992, but they're offering 51% and .0029.
We were thinking of the V6 Hybrid Touring Sedan, but the trunk space is just not a possibility for us. We really like the Touring model, but we're at least open to a V6 EX-L without Nav if the cost savings are worthwhile. We're in Louisiana (zip is 70301, tax rate is 8.9%) and we need the vehicle to be below $400/month with zero out of pocket.
Offer we just received from one dealership for a non-hybrid Touring (that they would have to order from another dealership) was as follows: $34,450 MSRP $30,686 Sale Price 51% Residual (seems low, no?) .0029 MF 8.9% Tax $500 American Honda Finance Cash (Down Payment) $500 Military Cash (Down Payment) 1st month paid $430.09/Month for 35 months
My calculator is spitting out $406.25. I'm not sure how I'm not accounting for $25....either my calculator is off or they're sneaking something in and lying about it.
I'm about to contact another dealership that has a V6 EX-L without Nav in stock, but I need to know the current Residual and MF on that vehicle before I even start negotiating with them. The figures I found on Cars.com are 55% and .002992, but that may have been for April. Can someone help me figure this out please? Thank you SO much in advance!
I apologize if this post is in the wrong thread. I just looked and thought I was posting in the Lease Questions thread. I'll be leaving this here but pasting the same comment over in the more appropriate thread. Moderators, please accept my sincerest apology for muddying up the boards here. It was not intentional.
Shopping for my friend. CRV EX AWD. (Sticker $26795) Based on everyones posts, I think my target for the end of the month should be the following correct?
$25,870 Invoice $24,370 Minus 1500
$24,000 to $24,300? GOAL???
I think I saw the lowest post on this for: $24241 with tinted windows, matts and wheel locks. This price includes destination. Doesn't include tax or documentation or registration which varies at all dealerships.
Honda Accord Sport CVT Vehicle 20352.83 (included destination and some accessories like wheel locks, nitrogen, etc.) Dealer Processing Fee: 300 Sales Tax (6% MD): 1239.17 Titling and Registration: 295.00 Tire Recycling Fee: 4.00 Total OTD: 22191.00
No military or recent grad discounts.
Dealership was Pohanka Honda in Capitol Heights, MD. Was an absolute pleasure to work with. Criswell was somewhat close ($500) and Sport was off by $800.
I am in California and looking to buy Honda Accord in this month. While looking for new one, one of the dealer, who is 30 miles from my places, is having 2015 Honda Accord Sedan LX with just 1100 miles. He is quoting $19,991 on his website. I visited it today and car seems clean and almost new. As per Sales person, this car came out of Auction. This car was $20,991 till yesterday and now he reduced its price. It is on list since past 53 days. I was reading more about price for new car and edmunds.com shows somebody bought this model for $20,100 ($21856 OTD). And 4th July weekend is just 2 weeks away. I am confused now - - Should I bargain that car more ? What number should I give him to come down ? - If somebody remember last year 4th July sales, can give me some idea, what kind of discount I can get on Accord ? - If prices of new one and this one is too close, better should I pick new one ?
Dealers used Accord with 1100 miles is selling for 1800 below invoice. you could make the same deal for a new one with under 10 miles on it in CA . Try to buy it from dealer for 19k... Goes as high as 19.5. use the end of the 2nd quarter as your leverage. Wait till the last day of this month you may score a real good deal. Or just buy new for same price. your area's selling price is anywhere from 1700 below to 2200 below invoice on Accords.
As of now, he is quoting $19,991. May be he can come down to $19,000 by end of month (unless it stays with dealer). Wouldn't I got new one in almost same price ? Main reason to check this used car is, it should have absorbed depreciation value (in advance). Or else, I will go with new one. Is $19,000/19,500 really a good deal for this car ?
A 19k deal would be a home run ( probably wont sell that cheap but worth a try )..............19.5k a very good deal @2200 below dealers invoice. ( might be more realistic price to get ) Check thru this board with CA buyers what dealerships they purchased/ deals they got. Use those dealerships for pricing along with yours.
Offer dealer 19k next week. On June 30th if vehicle is still on his lot offer 19.5 or just buy New at target pricing 1700 to 2200 below invoice. 1100 miles is considered a used vehicle. Dealers wont have much trouble selling a 1100 mile Honda vehicle. Your hoping dealer needs end of the month Sales incentive numbers to move off there lot cheaper.
4 days before the end of this month start emailing / calling dealers for pricing on the model you want.
I bought the Accord LX 2015 in Texas with a 21,200 otd price which include the interior protection, tint window, trunk tray, body guard, nitrogen filled tires, TTL (the tax is 8.25%) but with out GAP and Honda care in June 20. I know I can get about 500 dollars off if I will spend a more week to bargain with the dealers, but just be too tired to do that.
Many thanx for info on this site. Using some of these strategies (waiting till last part of month, pitting a couple of dealers against each other via email, sticking to a price $1000-$1500 under invoice), I've just completed a deal for a no-frills 2015 LX strictly by email/phone with a local Hudson Valley, NY dealer.
2015 Accord LX: 20,250 - Sale Price incl. dest. 752 - NY sales tax (incl. $11,000 trade in for 2010LX 70 - DMV transfer of plates 10 - Inspection 12 - tire tax 75 - doc fee (NYS) Think I did OK ( 1500 below invoice??). Originally, same dealer wanted 21286 two weeks ago.
Hello. Would it be reasonable to think the price of the 2015 Honda Accord LX would go lower for July 4th weekend? Currently, the local dealership is offering LX Accords at 18,982 (includes all fees BUT tax and title).
Hi, I live in upstate NY and am looking into buying a 2015 Honda Accord LX Sedan with automatic transmission. A price I'm being quoted at a local dealer is 21,988 with another place 150 miles away quoting 21,556. Just wanted to see what people's take on these prices were. With taxes it's going to be probably be around $1500 more for total out the door price and it seems from this forum I might be able to better....

Seems like this dealer wants to push out the lx models. If the 18,982 price includes the $820 destination charge Run don't walk to buy one. This deal would be $2804 below dealers invoice minus your dealers doc fee charge.
I'm looking to buy new Accord LX in MD area, I got the quotation for 21,400 , Is it good deal? Advise the price to buy Accord LX 2015 model .
No, that is horrible. I paid essentially 20,600 for an Accord Sport which is higher trim level and it included accessories such as wheel locks, tint, splash guards, nitrogen tires, etc (supposedly $780 in accessories). In the MD area, you can be around $19K. Thats the number I would aim for. Which dealership is the quote from? I would look at Criswell or Pohanka. For me, Pohanka got me the best deal. Total OTD price in MD should be around 20,500-20,600 I think for an LX.

"All advertised prices exclude state and local taxes, tags, registration and title fees, and the cost of optional equipment selected by the purchaser, if any. Includes $599.50 processing fee. Any new vehicle prices include a destination charge. Every reasonable effort is made to ensure the accuracy of prices and descriptions. The dealer is not responsible for any errors or omissions contained on these pages." ***I found this on the dealership's website, so I guess it does. Thank you for your help!!
Today I purchased a 2015 Honda LX from a Southern California dealer for $18,995 (including destination) plus taxes, lic, doc fee of $80. This price was negotiated online. They tried really hard to get me to purchase the optional extended warranty, maintenance, and an alarm, but I did not...My out the door price was $20882.
