    hey guys please advise,

Should I seal the deal with 21,800 OTD for Accord lx 2015 with tray, locks, guards? I think I've hit the wall because 3 dealerships are only price matching and not beating it. I really like the sport trim, what is reasonable amount to offer for an upgrade from LX to Sport? MSPR difference is 1,700. thank you guys.

    Hey everyone,

Just picked up an 2015 Accord lx v4 yesterday and wanted to give back to this thread. (and thank topdog62)

    Short v.

Bought it in Atlanta, 2015 Accord lx, no accessories, $19098 (inc dealer serv handling fee, not inc tax or reg).

If you are buying anywhere near Atlanta, PM me and i'll share my contact. I don't want him burned but amazing experience. Highly rated. Purchased many cars and this experience was the best buy far!!!

Walked in with quote, met with rep and out the door with car in 2.5 hours. No BS!

    Long v.

So started out on 7/2 going to the "largest Honda dealer in Atlanta" thinking I could get a great deal. Ended up around $20,600 without taxes. While negotiations were going on, I found this forum and read what topdog62 was doing, and pricing he was getting. Took inspiration while they were pushing me for more money. Showed me a truecar too, but we parted ways. (thankfully) As it happens, I checked truecar in the morning and by the time I came home it was $500 cheaper, so again thankful!

While at the dealership, my wife showed them a dealer offer that was posted online for cheaper than what we were negotiating. Their reply was that "that dealer is bluffing, they just want to get you there and then they will play games. They said HONDA would never let them sell the car for that cheap." (little do they know because this is the place I bought from.)

Came back home, emailed every dealer in Atlanta with what I wanted. Try and contact the Internet sales manager or eCommerce person, I even "live chatted" with a few dealers to get the specific email address. Sent the email and within a few hours got offers from about 6 of them. 1 dealership rejected the offer - oh well, and the rest were close to where I wanted to be.

Funny thing is the same dealer I visited on 7/2 was offering me a deal $700 less via email than their in-store rep was available to offer me so gut reaction paid off.

Contacted the rep I wanted via phone, told him I was coming over. We arrived around 12.30p took the car for a spin, and came back. Looked at the numbers and they were EXACTLY per what I was quoted. Didn't bother haggling because they were so awesome! They actually gave a crap that I had come over. No pressure. I was happy with the price, took care of the finances and drove out at 3:30pm.

A word about Truecar, it's great, but just a suggestion again. Dealers may not go that low and you don't have to go that "high". Beat the bell curve and stick to your price point. If it's realistic, you will be fine!

I can't be more happy with the service received. the "largest Honda dealer in Atlanta" couldn't even be bothered to offer me a glass of water. Well their loss.

If you are in Atlanta or nearby and want a Honda, PM me anytime and I'll send you the contact information for the rep. They really are 100% reputable.

Again thanks to everyone who contributes to this site. I have never bought via internet quotes but really does separate the cream from the crap. Other dealers who thing they are the stuff better watch out, the internet levels the playing field.

I don't know the breakdown, dealer didn't tell me. But I'm in SoCal and it's 8% tax. Hope that helps. I don't know how much I should pay additional if I were to upgrade to sport trim.

Any dealer you negotiate with via email / phone calls or visits you need breakdown of deals . With out this info your like a blind mice.

Info needed in any new car deal.

Doc fee charge ( we know in CA there 80 dollars )

Agreed selling price ? Is the destination charge included/ list of accessory prices if any?

OTD pricing consists of Doc fee, Dmv fee's , and your states taxes.

make spread sheet with every dealers breakdown quote . Write down all above info I gave you so you could compare prices. Then post back in this forum .

Take your time don't rush best deals are had a the very end of the month. Get as many dealerships involved as far as your willing to travel to . Use the internet to solicit prices. Remove dealers off list that wont work with you online.

    Hello,

We are considering leasing Accord Coupe EX-L. MSRP is $29315. The basis of the lease is on a price of $26435. According to the dealer the invoice price is $26885. We are wondering if this is a good deal? We're on Long Island and the dealer is Honda City in Levittown. Curious what others think.

    Thx

Watch out for Honda City. They will use 3rd party leasing (HON or HAN) - NOT HONDA, and will hurt you on damage when you return it. My uncle leased through that company, and they crawled under his car, took pictures of some plastic part that was scratched, and charged $1K. Honda city claims they don't do that anymore. But I don't trust any dealer statement that's not in writing.
Also, I have to say a Honda City manager out and out lied to me about 3rd party AND term. Needless to say I did not buy from them. Recommend Nardy and Baron for up front honest negotiation, Huntington on price.

Hi - Another data point for those interested.
Thanks to all who have been posting. It really is an advantage knowing this info before talking to dealer. Just got an offer of 26600 for an V6 - EXL (NO Nav).
    No extras (carpet/locks/etc).
This is with delivery, but w/o Tax/Title/Licenes.

Still deciding. It was the dealer's initial offer. Have contacted no other dealers. This one I have bought from before and it was a pleasant experience..
Seems close to bottom of what I've seen in here. Chicago Area.

    Good luck to all.

You have to be able to do much better than that. What are the Doc Fees (TTL?)? I paid roughly 20,300 + 300 dealer fee for a Sport CVT earlier this year and it included some acccessories (nitrogen, splash guards, etc.). I dont know how competitive the Seattle market is but at worst you should do at least 1K better. The 2016s are just around the corner...

I was contacted by a dealer the other day stating that they are having Honda factory reps come into their dealership this weekend for a special sale since that dealership has won the President's Award from Honda the last 2 years and that only these dealerships qualify for this event. Has anyone else heard of this and is it legit or just another ploy to get you physically on the lot? Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks!

I suspect it's the latter - anything to get you on the lot. Factory reps can't sell you the car.

Are you talking about Coggin Honda ? Good dealership many stores. If your looking to lease or buy wait till the end of this month before you start negotiation with them. $1500 to 2000 below invoice should be a good target price on most lot models @Coggin.

No it's Hendrick Honda in Pompano Beach. Funny you mention Coggin, I tried to get some pricing out of their Orlando store at the end of last month and they were a bear to deal with. I admit that I made the mistake of requesting pricing through the Costco program initially, but they would not quote me a price without stepping foot on their property no matter how hard I tried. For what it's worth, the rep that I spoke with said they would beat anyone's price by $500 but who doesn't say that...

Most Reps / sales folks that say stuff like that are lying. Try to deal only with each dealerships Internet manager if possible. Ask for him or her. If there not avail. leave your number for a call back. Its the best way to fly these days

Just leased a 2015 Accord Sedan EX-L V6 w/Navi; 3 yr, 12k mikes per yr; $331 per month; $594 down which includes the first month payment of $331.

I used both True Car and the lease calculator on Weymouth Honda (thank you Weymouth Honda for the transparancy!!). Brought both quotes into my dealer here in SC and without hesitation, they matched the price. I know, I know, if it was that easy I should have asked for a better price!

Thank you all for sharing your information and hope my info helps someone else!

    2015 Accord Sport CVT - DFW 07/18
    20880, ~2500 off invoice and .9%
6.25% tax, did not pay doc or other fees
AW mats, mud guards, trunk mat, coupon for four oil changes

I had a $1000 damage waiver offer from Honda for my Civic Hybrid lease if I purchased a new Honda, which had $860 in damage from being rear ended. I got a check for that months ago; so, I effectively got the car for 20020 before taxes since I didn't have to fix it.
Came off the truck just before I got there (I think that's cool for some reason)

I used the lowest price on this forum for a Sport, ~20k, which I assume is a 6MT and added for the auto. I think I got a good deal. Thanks to the forum for the info.

I shopped and negotiated hard and that price is pretty much what I paid before ~$400 in accessories that I wanted. (Sport CVT) In my area the doc fee is just dealer profit and negotiable. I have a feeling there is more room due to dealer incentives from Honda, but they don't seem to be giving them up.

According to your numbers this LX deal is at $2801 below invoice minus the $687 for overpriced accessories . No mention of any dealership doc fees . Why. Find out.

This to me is a very good deal as is.

The accessory pack items mentioned can be purchased online for about 200 dollars . So you know dealers invoice price is cheaper than that. Dealer did knock off another 372 dollars making that package a lot better to live with.

    I don't think I missed anything else pricewise .

Invoice on the LX w/ dest charge =.............21,786

    minus agreed price .......................................18,985

    =......................................................................2801 below invoice

    Overpriced added accessories.......................687

    selling price.....................................................2,114 below invoice

dealer knocked off another $372 off price lowering your below invoice . Your state taxes and dmv fees are regulated don't need any of those numbers to determine if this deal is good or not.

You could fill in the price blanks you left to calculate your deal.

Invoice Sport model = $22,571 + dest / charge of 820 = $23,391 minus ( around ) $21,100 = xxx price then minus dealers doc fee charge off price for true selling price of vehicle.

This was a excellent deal in CA, if the 820 dest charge is included in the 21,100 price .

Enjoy your new sport model .

Thank you, It's included the destination and doc fee. Since I didn't research too much about sport, just decided at dealer shop, I felt it should lower 1000 than EX, the dealer didn't considered too much and accepted my offer, I though I could push more hard.

I have a feeling there is more room due to dealer incentives from Honda, but they don't seem to be giving them up.
So, you think if that is the good price? I will try and negotiate further so lets see :)
Let us know how it goes.

The dealer says 21500 is the most he could do OTD, cant go lower than that. should I take it...or wait a bit longer?

Cant say if you will do better or not waiting till months end. This deal on the table is about 1800 below dealers Invoice price. Still a good deal compared to other states. I would email/ call the closest dealerships and see if any will beat your deal . wait till the end of the month then make your closest and lowest deal.

Dealer will not throw in a remote starter. Bargain down off his price of $599 if you want that accessory. $350 to have this item installed would be a nice deal on your end.

    Good luck

dealer said his accessories worth 1800 so i said I dont need it. i guess i got a good deal. Just FYI always go to small dealerships they give u good quote. I like Rusty. the only dealership which gave a good OTD price. but i ended up with another coz in the end they got me the bargain offer on my 3rd pressured visit for negotiation.

Hello, just bought 2015 accord sport in north CA, first decided to buy EX, quoted the lowest OTD price is 24300, however, when went to shop, I was totally attracted by sport, dealer gave me Selling price around 21100, OTD 23300 for sport. just wondering is it good deal now in California?

You could fill in the price blanks you left to calculate your deal.

Invoice Sport model = $22,571 + dest / charge of 820 = $23,391 minus ( around ) $21,100 = xxx price then minus dealers doc fee charge off price for true selling price of vehicle.

This was a excellent deal in CA, if the 820 dest charge is included in the 21,100 price .

Enjoy your new sport model .

    Hi Brian

am looking for 2015 Honnda Accord EX

Currently The lowest offer I got is is 22,200 with destination without any negotiation. How much low can i ask for. I saw someone got a Edmund Promise price as 21,500 in the above posts for Accord EX.

I am trying to for that price. I already have loan financed and have the auto loan check with me. I heard if we don;t take loan from Honda Financing the dealer will get a $1000 incentive.

Btw I live in North CA, near Sacramento

You are mistaken Edmunds price promise on the EX model is not lower than your current deal. Above deal is on the Sport model.

Invoice w dest charge on your EX model is..... $24,454. Your offer is a very good one. I would have no problem buying today with your offer as is. Negotiating at the very end of this month could save you a few more dollars but if dealer sells that vehicle that good price may be off the table.

Your current deal is $2254 below invoice minus doc fee

    Which dealership did you use?

Hi, I would like some feedback on the following deal which was after 2 hours of negotiation in person.  This is in Indianapilis, IN

    2015 EX-L
    price $24,827
    ttl $1737
    tire fee $1.25
    doc fee $149
    total $26715

this didn't include remote start, nav, all weather mats, etc.  I told him I'd buy for closer to $25,000, which was refused so I walked. I feel I could do much better. Brian, what should I be aiming for below invoice and a good price OTD? I planned to email several dealers ready to buy with "x" price proposed OTD.

    thanks!

I just closed the 2015 Accord LX CVT for $20000 OTD inclusive of everything in MD. I believe this is a great deal, right? The deal is available until the month end. Not sure if I can post the dealer. Please PM me if you need details.

In fact a post should be considered suspect or just plain bragging if the dealer and city aren't mentioned.
