You might be able to do a little better if you can find any more 2007's. I just purchased in Charlotte, NC - AWD EXL w/ RES for $27,242 + dest($595), mud flaps and wheel locks ($328) = $28,165. With Tax, Tag And Title we were at $29,477 OTD, which I think is a pretty good deal for a car that has an invoice price of over $31.5k...

big $ breaks so that tricky MPG sticker ad won't sting much :)

Hello: Which dealer did you go to? is there a contact number? I like to get something similar.
  • djwhitakerdjwhitaker Member Posts: 20
Just purchased a 2WD Pilot EX-L in Atlanta. Paid 27650 OTD. That included a purchase price of $25,333 plus 7% tax + $500 for doc fees, mud guards, and title/registration.

Also, bought a 7yr/84k miles extended warranty for $330 extra (half of dealer cost). I purchased the car on the last day of the month and the dealer was trying to sell warranties to meet some monthly quota.

Deal was at Hennessy Honda - very smooth transaction. It seemed like they had at least 7-8 more 2007 Pilots on the lot.

Hendrick Honda in Charlotte, but the price used was actually matched from Honda of Lake Norman. There is not much inventory left, but if your not picky about color and are OK with 100+ miles on your new car (due to many test drives or even demo vehicles) there are still some great deals at all of the Charlotte area Honda dealers... GOOD LUCK! :)

Looking to see what others have paid for a 07 EX-L 4wd with RES in the Seattle area. Looking to buy within the next week and want to get a good deal.
  • gopilot1gopilot1 Member Posts: 10
    bhanson1-

Got a good quote for the EX-L w/RES about 3-4 weeks ago, but I know they are really selling the 07's fast. We had trouble in the NW getting the pricing people have been posting in other parts of the country....I don't know why. We bought an EX-L without RES or NAV and got a decent deal. Ended up driving over the mountains from Eastern, WA to get the car.

If you email me I can forward along the quotes....I think I have one Renton and anther from Bellevue....$29,450 range.

I'm in Houston, but the attractive pricing seems to cross the nation. The 'marketing support' from Am. Honda to the dealer may have expired, but let's hope not. I feel very fortunate to have gotten the new-car itch when I did; a month later and the price would have gone up substantially. I'm glad I spent some time at Edmunds, there were a couple of salespeople who were planning to keep that $3500 for themselves (and I shouldn't blame them, they have ex-wives and kids to feed). But I'll never go car-shopping again without checking Edmunds for incentives. Good luck with your search!
  • cbrunson1cbrunson1 Member Posts: 30
The $3500 marketing support from Am. Honda to their dealers continues until Labor Day, apparently. So keep looking but realize that the availability of the 07s is less and less. And, if the myth is true, now that it's the beginning of a new month, salespeople/dealerships are a little less inclined to make you a great deal than they were at the end of last month (quotas and all).
  • buypilot1buypilot1 Member Posts: 10
What's your price? Care to refer for us seeking the same deal?
  • mstorer5mstorer5 Member Posts: 3
FYI - I was able to get an 07 EX-L 4WD w/ Navi for invoice minus the $3500 marketing support from Honda. So sales price around $29,200 for a sticker over $36,000. They agreed to the 3500 discount and $1000 over invoice over phone and then went to dealer and got them to come down to invoice. If you are in the midwest, many of the dealers around Cincinnati have some decent 07's remaining.

Paid $30500 OTD in a 7% tax county (Milton Martin Honda in Gainesville). Spent a week calling and talking to other dealers and getting promised they'd get one but no one else could deliver. They might have a few more but not many.

Best price quote provided was $27394 OTD w/o navi and $29932 w/navi. Paid a few $ more but they had one (and anyhow its the closest dealer to me so I saved at least 100 miles driving. I think this 5 state area in the Southeast is just about dry except for demos.

Just picked up two 2007 Pilots this past week from Ray Price Honda located in the Poconos in PA (thanks Edison!).

    EX-L 4wd: $25,699 INCLUDING the $595 destination
    EX 4wd: $24,200 INCLUDING the $595 destination

The only other charges were NJ taxes (7%), NJ tags (about $330 for four years), and dealer doc fees (reasonable $55 charge). They provided wheel locks free of charge as well.

They accepted a $500 deposit via credit card on each vehicle in order to locate the colors that we wanted. Very professional and no games whatsoever. No hard sells for extended warranties or optional equipment. By far, the best price we were able to find anywhere in NJ, eastern PA and southern NY. Unfortunately, they may not have much left in stock as far as 07 Pilots go. The next best price we were able to find was $26,600 including destination (EX-L 4wd) at Burns Honda in South Jersey (Brian). The other dealers that offered Pilots at invoice (they kept full 3% base MSRP holdback) were Willis Honda and Boardwalk Honda (EX-L 4wd quoted at $27,196 including destination). Best of luck!

I'm offering dealers around my area (Dallas, Texas) $28,000 (not including tax, title, registration) for a 2007 Pilot EX-L 2wd with navigation. This is approximately $3500 below invoice.

Similarly, I'm offering $26,000 for the same SUV w/o navigation.

I'm not that picky with color. Any silver/gray/black will do for me.

Assuming one of them accepts, do you guys think these are good deals?

Finally bought a 2007 2WD EX in Desert Rock Metalic at Howdy Honda in Austin for $24,000 plus TT&L. This was about $3,500 under invoice and took about 15 minutes to get there with a threatened walk out over the final $500. This was a great dealer and only took about 2 hours from start to finish on a Saturday morning. They also don't try to charge you hundreds and hundreds of extra dollars for silly dealer add-ons. Make sure you ask about this before driving out of town. There are very few EX's left within 100 miles of Waco. This was their only one. The Waco dealer was rude and didn't seem willing to negotiate on price at all. Also their ad in the local paper had about 27 pilots listed and you go to the lot and there was maybe 6 or 8. This shows me they are either dishonest or playing games from the start. One other thing I found is that inventory listed on dealer's web-sites is next to worthless. They may have 20 or 30 2007 pilots listed and you call or show up and they have 1 or 2. Make your e-mail contacts, follow up with phone calls to verify inventory and add-on costs and then show up to get your best deal. Finally, as the 2007's dry up, they seem less willing to negotiate the full $3,500 off. For what it's worth, I got a price on a 2008 2WD Pilot VP for $26,314 (not at Howdy Honda). Happy shopping.

Sorry for late post....was on vacation. No, they didn't have any with Navi. This was a Danbury Fair Honda.

On Friday (Aug. 3) we bought same model in Maryland - EXL w/RES - and had simliar pricing. Sticker on window listed $34,500 and we got it for $28,047. That's almost $6500 less than sticker, and then got 5.5% financing through Honda. After $595 destination charge, $49 processing (which they dropped), $1500 in taxes, and $1500 for 8 yr/120 month extended warranty, am paying less than $500 a month for 5 years. Am curious is we got taken on the extended warranty as did not look into pricing on that before buying.

I would give Honda Superstore in Joliet a try. Ask for Josh or Joe (the manager). They will tell you straight up whether or not it's possible to get that color AND THEY WON'T SCREW YOU WITH LITTLE ADD ON GAMES..

Tell them Scott who bought a car on July 11th referred you since they asked if I would do that and I said sure.

You can check myhondawarranty.com and check on the online price of the warranty you got. I believe it is 1200 so you didn't do too bad. You can cancel the one you bought for and get a payment credit and buy the online one or just let it go.

I don't know how you can have less than $30000 in payments (500x60 months) on a 31500 loan at 5% unless you had a considerable downpayment or trade. If not check your paperwork for mistakes/misunderstandings.

    Happy driving

Thanks -- I'll do that -- I've just been through 2 more bad dealerships over the weekend, and almost ready to give up and wait til next year.

What price did you get from Joliet?

Thanks for the info about myhondawarranty.com - will look into it and see how much trouble, if any, to switch. I id put down $6500 from a trade-in (2003 Kia Sorento w/ 80K miles) and that put my monthly payments under $500 a month. Now, if only I could find a decent auto detailing shop to apply a paint protectant/sealant.

Thanks to everyone who has been posting here. Extremely helpful site. Bought 07 EX-L 2WD yesterday at Carmichael Honda in citrus heights in Sacramento. Paid $25,300.00 - including destination charge ($7240 below MSRP) plus tax and DMV fee and a $55 doc fee. Came out to be $27,435 OUT-THE-DOOR. Worked with their internet sales agent Kevin. Excellent service, no surprises. He did not push at all to sell extra options. My wife only wanted aberdeen green, which they did not have in stock. He checked inventory in all of california on that car. I was told there were less than five left in Nor Cal area, which I checked by sending e-mails out to many different dealers within 100 miles, and he was right. He got one for us from Tracy Honda for the same quoted price. No extra transfer fee etc. Kevin had the best quote without any haggling, no other dealership was able to beat his price. Pleasant experience, we were out of there in little over an hour with the car we wanted. They are almost out of 2007 model 2WD and have a couple AWD on their lot. In general, if you want a particular color, make a move quickly. They are going fast. Happy shopping.

    I paid $21,130 yesterday for 2007 LX2W.

My best price quote was for $27988. How are people getting 25-27k quotes for this car? I sent out about 15 quote requests from edmunds quote system.

I finally bought the Pilot after two months of researching and emailing dealerships for quotes! I got it for $25,135 before TTL. There were plenty of 2007 Pilots on the lot here in Florida.
  • anzueloanzuelo Member Posts: 13
$25,135 is a great price ! What dealer did you go ?
  • carsearch9carsearch9 Member Posts: 7
guys..i was shopping around for 2007 Honda Pilot in dallas area..and got a quote for 2007 EXL 2wd w/ RES dealer driven with 5000 miles on it for $27800 + TTL.

is it good deal? can bargain more because of miles on it.
  • cyclone6cyclone6 Member Posts: 8
You should be able to get it for $27,500 plus TT&L minus some discount for the miles. Maybe ask em to through in the extended warranty for for that price.
  • gardnr01gardnr01 Member Posts: 5
    eyegirl,

Great price. I've been looking in south FL but I usually find I get better deals out of State and then just ship the car. What dealership and sales person did you buy from? Thx.
  • eyegirleyegirl Member Posts: 4
I bought it at Holman Honda in Fort Lauderdale. I meant to write that the total list price was $ 25,175 (instead of the $25,135 that I wrote earlier- sorry, i misread the 7 for a 3 on the paper) The list price is before T,T&T and dealer fee. I called and got a quote via telephone, then followed up with them via email thereafter. They were all super friendly and not at all pushy or aggressive. Good luck with your car purchase.
  • 8sparkplugs8sparkplugs Member Posts: 111
I think you can do much better than that. I bought an 2wd EXL w/ RES for $27,300 with 23 miles. It really didn't take that long to get that deal. I bought mine in Houston.
  • carsearch9carsearch9 Member Posts: 7
    8sparkplugs,
does 27,300 include destination + dealer installed options? please let me know whats the final price you paid for it. thanx.
  • 8sparkplugs8sparkplugs Member Posts: 111
Yes, it did include destination. Mine didn't have any dealer added options. My total price "out the door" was almost $29,300. That included all taxes, title, doc fees, inspection, etc... I didn't have a trade-in of any kind. When I was looking, it wasn't that difficult to get the dealers to go for $3500 off of invoice. I bought it at a little over $3600 off of invoice. A good friend of mine that lives in Oklahoma bought a EX for $3500 off of invoice last week also.

I have been looking for a 2007 EX-L 4WD and have had slim pickings. Any luck out there? And what is the BEST price you got? I would prefer Black or White exterior if possible. Thanks, Bob

    Dan,

Thanks for your post - I used it to get a similar deal at Hennessy Honda today (If Steve or Kim call to thank you, I am a "friend of a friend."). I couldn't get them quite to your price (but within $200) due to low inventory (only 3 left), but I did all right. I tried to get the warranty for $330 but the finance manager tried to tell me you paid $660, even showing me a computer screen of your purchase. I guess he thought I was an idiot - I watched his keyboard and he changed the number from 330 to 660 before he showed me the screen. Needless to day, I didn't buy the warranty. After I declined, I watched him change it back to $330! What a weasel! At least Steve was a good guy to work with.

Anyway, thanks again for sharing your purchase info.

What bad dealerships did you speak to? The people at Pauly Honda in Libertyville, IL seem to be straight forward in their dealings.

Purchased Steel Blue 07 AWD EX-L w/ Navi at 31k otd on July 27, 2007 from Hayward Honda in CA.
  • gardnr01gardnr01 Member Posts: 5
    eyegirl,

Last question. I notice your post indicates before dealer fee. Can you breakdown your OTD price for me (e.g. Car, Tax, Title and Registration, and Dealer Fee). Thanks again....very helpful.

    Howdy:

$29530 for EX-L 4WD/NAVI......after hour of haggling.... Dopey Internet Manager had already agreed to match competing offer (invoice -3500)over phone, 40 minute drive, new story. Said other dealer offering invoice -3500 was a "stupid woman"....wife loved this comment. Had to walk out and come back to get most of $3500 manufacter to dealer cash. Internet Joker acted like no dealer has ever parted with the entire $3500 or any portion of holdback. Got stuck with 299.00 (included in total price) for wheel locks, splash guards and storage platter. The best part is that they tried to make me wait until Saturday to pick it up because the porters were gone for the night. I changed my mind, decided to take it tonight......turned out they had written up the contract for a demo, with damage, numerous miles and different color interior. (Of course, this was after I took the rig I wanted for a test drive) After long search for keys, said F!@# the free gas and cheesy porter detail. Happy to be parked at home with new rig.

I would not suggest dealing with Curt at Frank Leta Honda in O'Fallon, Missouri.

This story is why I HATE buying cars! Anyway, I have been e-mailing around my area asking for a specific, (EX-L), 2007 Pilot quote. I have gotten varoius answers, but few quotes.......! I also was told the $3,500 incentive was NOT available on the 2008 Pilots. Can anyone verify this?

    Thanks, Bob
  • big10bbbig10bb Member Posts: 10
Sorry for the delay in responding...

I paid $23,343 plus TTL (no surprises, no add-on pinstripes and junk) for an EX 2WD. I believe the 4WD was something like $24,500.
  • cbrunson1cbrunson1 Member Posts: 30
According to Edmunds, Honda is not offering incentives on any 08s at this time. It's advertised as a 'clearance,' which of course means it's intended to clear out the inventory of the previous model year. You can check any time if you go to Edmunds, new cars, pricing, and snoop around a little. There is a page that lists all current incentives for all manufacturers, but news on incentives and rebates for a particular model is available on the pricing page of that model.

On the message board what does RES mean? (Honda Pilot EXL w/ RES) Is it possible to buy a Pilot with NAVI & DVD? Reason I ask is because the pricing on Consumer Reports LX4WD 25,462 EX4WD 27,690
    EX LTHR 4WD 29,699
    EX 4WD W/LTHR/DVD 31,097
    EX 4WD W/LTHR/NAVI 31,621
These are CR's Bottom Line Price +Dealer Invoice for for pckgs&options. It does not have a bottom line 4WD EX LTHR NAVI DVD

You only pay the taxes in Texas.
