    Hi folks -
We think we missed the window on getting a 2010 Pilot Touring, AWD with Nav and RES. All of the local dealers say they are gone, which is disappointing as I got a price of 35,854 through the AAA auto program.

The price I was quoted for the same configuration on the 2011 through the auto program is 37,487. Is that a reasonably good price?

    Thanks,

You should be able to get to the 2011 for 1K more than the 2011 price. The dealer cost on the 2011 is $33,818. You should be able to get close this amount since Honda is offering $1500 incentive plus $300 to move the vehicle by end of March. Did you try searching online for the vehicle your looking for? You can have one shipped in at a reasonable cost if you can get close to dealer cost.

    Hi vtanman,
Is it OTD price? and what dealer do you buy it from.?
    :)

Got quoted a price of of $35,000 for a 2010 4WD Pilot Touring with Nav and Res. Has 500 miles on it and was used by the dealership owner. Don't typically like buying demo cars, but most of the 2010 Touring seem to be gone. How much should they discount a demo?

Thanks for the info Frukio. I got you confused with another member oneway who lives in the Baltimore area. :)
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
where you @ rundy - im trying to get a 2010 4wd touring thats being used by the dealer and has roughly 500 miles - lol.

    I got quoted 36K.
  • rundyrundy Member Posts: 5
California -- are we chasing the same one?
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
No we are not. I'm on the east coast. Pretty funny though. Its a touring with res/nav just like your gunning for.

The guy told me today that 36 was the price and my wife is hell bent on 35. Sounds likes that possible.

I am trading my 03 toyota 4-runner LTD with 47000 miles on it for a 2011 honda pilot ex-l 4wd. They gave me a trade price of 19.000, which means before my trade the vehicle was 36155. The cheapest other place I found was 33100. Am I getting a raw deal?? I live in Wisconsin and it seems like cars are more expensive here. I am new to allthis, so any help you could give would be appreciated. I should have said that the first delaership gave me 16305, for my trade and the other 15.000. so basically it was a final price of around 19000. plus tas, title, license.

Where did you purchase this and did you have a trade?? Does the color have anything to do with the price/?
  • cargirl21cargirl21 Member Posts: 18
    mtairyordge,
Where did you buy your pilot? sounds like a great deal for a 2011. Was the dealership good to deal with? What is the 100 processing you have listed after freight?
  • bartio1975bartio1975 Member Posts: 12
First try to get a price set for the new car. Then you can get an estimate for the trade-in. You didn't indicate if your price excludes TTL, destination etc.. I got a quote for an EX-L/RES for 32,200+TTL in the MD area. I'm sure I could have got another $500 off from that price. Yours seems expensive for an EX-L if it excludes TTL.
  • rocky78rocky78 Member Posts: 2
Hi-I am in the Bay Area too where did you buy for 31,950??? I have been quoted $33,095 for a 2010 4wd with RES and they are telling me that that is 1500 under invoice is that true do you know what your invoice was? And how did you get them to go so low? Please help asap! Thanks
  • mtairyordgemtairyordge Member Posts: 144
I purchased this from a dealership in MD where I live. The $100 is a processing fee that is not mandatory by state law.

the dealership was good to deal with, the after sale pitch from the service/paint/leather sealant babe was over the top as was the exhorbitant extended warranty fee from Mr. Finance. Both available as aftermarket products if one is so inclined.

Also I have excellent credit and pushed and pushed and was able to get a very good rate, but I had to push many times.

If you are interested email me at my screen name at yahoo.

Ir does not include any fees. The set price for the car was 36155. I got an internet price from another dealer of 33100. but he was from about 300 miles away and was very vague on the expectations of my trade. I don't know what to do because my first dealer is being right on with the trade price for my 4-runner. Should I still expect to get alot of the 36155?? If he threw in TTL and paint protector would that make it better??
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
    Got a quote for 36K on a 2010 Touring NAV/RES.
    Price does not include TTL.
5% sales tax where I am.

Its got 470ish miles on the clock - dealer is driving it.

    I countered 35K - waiting.
  • 03toyota03toyota Member Posts: 5
what state are you in?? What color is the vehicle and does that matter in the price??
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
im in WV and the car is white - not sure why color would matter in price? i don't think Honda has premium paint.
  • 03toyota03toyota Member Posts: 5
I have been told that the popular colors (black for instance) is harder to come by and therefore people are willing to pay to get it.

    I am getting a quote for 2011 Pilot EX-L 4WD RES for 33300 + destination charges

Yesterday picked up, in Minneapolis, a 2010 Touring w/RES and NAV, black exterior, black interior for 36,900 (not including tax and title, but includes Honda's $1,500 month of March discount offer for 2010 Pilots). Has 8 miles on it. Getting a 2010 black and black is hard to find in the Minneapolis area. The 2010s are almost all gone. Mine was one of two in that color and model that I could find in the area and the other one sold while I was there. I have great credit and got 3.99% for 72 months through the dealer. Hope that helps
  • dogstar23dogstar23 Member Posts: 4
2011 Pilot EX-L 4WD RES for 33300 + destination charges is a great price. Are you sure it is a 2011? That would be what I would expect for a price on a 2010 EX-L with RES with the $1,500 discount being offered on 2010s.
  • dogstar23dogstar23 Member Posts: 4
The sticker price will be the same regardless of color, but supply and demand will change what a dealer will actually sell it for. If its an unpopular color you may get a better deal.
  • briz2briz2 Member Posts: 42
35700 is the best offer I can get on the 2010/touring/res/nav with 500 miles in white.

thinking about waiting for the gas price run up triggering discounts on 2011 models.
  • parayilparayil Member Posts: 3
    I got an offer for 2011 EX-L 4WD with RES 33360 +destination +tax + fees.
is that a good price ?
  • oneway1963oneway1963 Member Posts: 6
Apparently the end of month deals (today only!!!) are hitting the Baltimore market. I'm being told that I can get a 2010 EX-L 4WD with RES for $29,600 + freight, taxes, etc. Sounds like a great price. I'll update the group after I meet with the dealer tonight. Only hitch I can see in the deal is how much they offer for my trade.

I got a quote from Sacucci Honda in RI for a '10 Touringw/Nav in Black/Black. Not my fav color but for $33500+199fee+TTL it was great. I took the train from Baltimore to pick it up. RJ Lindsay called me late last night and told me it was in stock. He also offered to pick me up from the Amtrak station in Kingston which is 20 miles from his dealership!
At NY Penn station they asked everyone to get off the train as the high water up ahead past CT meant no trains past Fairhaven, CT! I decided to take a train and come back to Baltimore. Perfect time to say "So close, yet so far"!
Anyone else nearby, can go get it..

Hi...I've never leased a car before, and am wondering if this is a good deal in the Los Angeles/Inland Empire area:

    Price: $29,490 (plus tax/DMV)
    Drive Off: $2500
    Cap Reduction: $1439.22
    Monthly (inc. tax): $394/36 mos
    ResFactor: 54%
    Residual: $18,740
    RateK: 0.00183 (I don't know what this is/means?)

So is this a good deal? Is there anything else I need to consider? What areas are negotiable if you think I can do better? Thanks in advance!

    Hi mtairyorge,
The dealership I'm working with is giving me grief. Would you mind telling me the name of the dealership you worked with? I emailed you the for the salesman info too (can't post on here). I'd love to get this deal even if I have to ship it.

Quoted 32k (+ fees + title + destination) for EX-L 4WD in NJ. Is that a good price?
  • jon012jon012 Member Posts: 3
What part of NJ are you in? The thing is many dealers in the northeast have been quoting the mid $31k to low $32k range to me, but they don't actually have the car in inventory. They all say they can swap inventory with another dealer, and can get the car. Dealers that actually do have them aren't willing to swap because they can make money off the car. For the 2011 I've been quoted low to mid 33 range, so it seems you would save at least $1k in comparison if you got the 2010. If you really love the car, they have the car in inventory with your first choice of color and leather and $500 bucks isn't that big a deal you should pull the trigger.

Can you let me know the dealer in NJ? It might be worth the ride to from NY for me. Hope this helps.
  • rishi_njrishi_nj Member Posts: 2
Thanks for the reply. I am in South Jersey and the dealer is DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge. DCH does not have 2011 in stock and their 2010 Pilots are sold out. I got the same price from Princeton Honda as well. If you have Costco membership, you can contact Planet Honda (Union) to get Costco pricing. But you're right, none of the dealers truly have these vehicles in stock.

I am getting a quote of $29,800 + TTL for 2010 EX-L w/RES, from a dealer in Sugarland and Pearland, TX areas. Is this a good deal?

Also, for 2011, Iam getting a quote of $33.8K OTD.

Not sure why the salesman is not willing to give me OTD price for 2010 model. But he has specifically emailed me that for 2010 it would be $29800 incl. destination and all fees. The only thing I need to pay is TTL.

Advise needed? Is 2011 better pick than 2010? Any other considerations?

    Thank you in advance.

I ended up getting the '10 EXL for $31,400. I made the salesman give me invoice minus $1,500 dealer cash incentive.
  • wanthonda2wanthonda2 Member Posts: 2
    cuzican680,
Was the $31,400 OTD? or was TTL extra on top of that? Thanks.

Getting ready to lease a EX-L with RES 15k per yr for 3 years
$2000.00 down my monthly payment would be $473. I don't know what the actually selling price is. I'm concerned with bottom line payment. i think its a fair deal

Is this a good deal I'm getting or can I do better?
