Had a question in regards to money factor. I am working a deal on a 2015 335i. 36 month 10k lease. I know the residual is 64% and the buy rate MF is 0.00130.
I negotiated down from 0.00170 to buy rate. However when I got to finance they said BMW offers buy rate only to its first three credit tiers?
740+ is Tier 1 700-739 is Tier 2 675-699 is Tier 3.
I have read that the score needs to be 675 (even though I'm a multiple time previous BMWFS Customer) to get buy rate on these forums so I figured I was being told the truth.
But for tier 4 credit (630-674 score wise) the MF changed from 0.00130 to 0.00190. Does that sound correct? I was planning to do the MSD and buy it down, but how do I know that they didn't mark that rate up or if all of that was based strictly on credit?

Yes, scores of 675 or higher qualify for the buy rate of .00130.
Scores between 640-674 adds .00020 to the MF (.00150), scores 601-639 adds .00040 (.00170) and scores 575-600 adds .00060 (.00190).
Dealer is trying to inflate the adjusted MF on you.
Thank you for the information! So with a score between 640-674 which is what I have, should be at 0.00150 according to these numbers. Looks like they bumped the rate to 0.00150 and then marked it up the maximum they can which is where they got me at 0.00190.
Are these numbers for sure correct? Of course when I called them back they said they are incorrect and there is no markup in their rate. Are they just lying?

I hesitate to say exactly what your rate should be, if it's not top tier..
Hi I am looking to lease a 328i BMW with MSRP 38105 after discounts. The lease is for 10k-36 months with payment of 361(excl local tax) and purchase price(residual val) 28068. Is this a good deal . Appreciate ur response. Thanks!

.00130 and 64%. $1500 buildout cash.
Need to know the selling price before we can evaluate the deal.
Can you please give me the residual rates for a 328ix and 328d wagons for 12k/15k and available incentives? Can the build outcash and eco credit be combined? Are these rates for the wagons and sedans the same? Also, any word on the September 2015 rates?
September numbers:
328xi Wagon - .00130 and 64% / 62%. $1500 buildout credit 328xd Wagon - .00130 and 63% / 61%. $1500 buildout credit and $500 eco credit; can be combined.
Residuals are different for the sedans - 1% less on the residual.
Hi,
Can I get some feedback on a quote on a new 2015 328i Wagon?
Money Factor 0.0013 36/12k Residual 64% Acquisition rolled into lease $80 doc fee 8% tax Drive off $950.62
I'm also working a deal with a very similar car but a 328d wagon. I haven't got a lease quote yet, but they're down to $47,545 on a MSRP of $56,840. I think they payment will be about the same accounting for the lower selling price, but lower residual value.
Now I'm just considering the diesel's fuel savings vs the driving characteristics of the gas engine.

328xi wagon - $498/mo with tax 328xd wagon - $498/mo with tax
So, no difference between the two. Just a matter of which engine you'll like better.

If the selling price is $38,105, then what is the MSRP?
What's the MF and residual for 36/36 for 2015 328xd in NJ? dealer was quoting 56% residual, seems crazy?
MSRP: 53920 Gross Cap Cost: 47595 including anniversary and Eco, acquisition, doc fee etc. MF: .00130 MSDs: 7 Net MF: .00081
Total out of pocket 4385, MSD and First month
Total Payment: $530
Something makes me feel this is too high. I have Activehybrid 3 that picked up for $400/mo with MSD and first month's payment and the sticker was $63xxx.

Thanks for the reply. How is the residual value calculated. Is 64% on MSRP or selling price? I guess most of the dealers are doing it on MSRP and in that case if i plan to keep the vehicle after lease end then i end paying more money. Is this right? Pls clarify

64% of MSRP.
Once you factor in acquisition fees, leasing to buy is usually not a good deal. If you want to own the vehicle, just start out with a purchase.
Trying to lease a 2015 328i RWD w/ Nav/Moonroof/Driver assistance for 36M/10K, MSRP $42,700, sale price $37,500, RV 64%, MF 0.0013, $3,000 down and monthly payments after 9% tax is $395.
Does this make sense? Is it a good deal? As far I know the acquisition fee and license fee were standard ($925 and $300).

You are right, my bad! $3,000 is not the drive off, it is simply the down payment. So drive off would be 3000 (down) +925 (acq) +365 (first month) = $4290 which is pretty awful.

Yeah, the $3000 down is about $84/mo on your payment.
Something seems amiss ... get the dealer to run through the numbers again.
Hi - can I get the residual and mf for a 320ix 15k per year 36 months? Both 2015 and 2016 of possible? Thanks so much.
2015: .00130 MF and 60% residual. $1500 buildout cash 2016: .00130 MF and 59% residual.
Thank you. What's build out cash?
Buildout cash is a factory to dealer incentive that the dealer can pass along to the customer in the form of a lower selling price. Similar to a rebate.
Hi again. I'm working on two deals with two different dealerships. What's your opinion? 328i xdrive, 36mo, 12k: MSRP 48750, sale price 44325, mf .00130, 63% residual, $537/mo. (no $ down, all fees paid up front)

Thoughts?
Deals 2 and 3 have a marked up MF, so that is hurting you. So deal 1 looks best.
And, the residual can't change - the bank sets it. 36/12 is 63% for 328xi this month.
For deal 3, the residual is adjusted downward to address the miles on the car (probably .10-.25 per mile).
Can you provide the MF and the residual for the following cars? for 36 and 48 months, 15000miles/year. 2015 320xi 2016 320xi 2015 328xi 2016 328xi Thanks!
.00130 MF for all four.
48 month residuals are awful; following are the 36/15 residuals:
Comments
So, for letting them hold your $3150, they are lowering your payment by $37/mo.
Unless you can get 14% APR after-tax return on that $3150, then do the MSDs.

I am looking at 2 328i demo cars today. Can you give me the residual % to start at and the money factor for each?
2015 328i
5,339 miles
MSRP: $49,450
Tech, Sport, Premium, Driver Assistance Packages.
Listed Price: $42,922
2015 328i
5,956 miles,
MSRP: $47,100
Premium, Driver Assist Packages, Options: Nav, Enhanced Bluetooth
Listed Price $38,999
They are both "Elite". I am assuming I can negotiate the price further. I always lease and can calculate, but never looked at a demo vehicle before.
Thanks in advance!

You have to reduce the residual to account for the mileage. I think it's $0.20/mile, but check with the dealer.
