I went to the dealer and he is quoting me the following-
BMW 328i x drive Lease period - 36 months Miles per year - 12k MSRP - $46205 After Discount - $43187 Per Month including tax for 35 months - $462.53 Down Payment - $5000 = $375.50 (Tax) + $369 (leasing fee - titles, etc.) + $950 (Acquisition fees) + $462.53 (first month's payment) + rest as down payment. Residual value - 64% ($29571.2) MF - did not share Sales tax rate - 9.9% (Seattle, WA) KBB fair purchase value - $42395
With Down payment of $2500, the per month payment becomes $538.59. However, based on my calculation I think per month numbers are high.
What should be a good price? Also, is 12k month lease is advisable against 10k given that the residual becomes 65% with 10k?
The number of miles you contract for should be dependent on your driving needs, not your budget. More expensive to pay for those miles at the end of the lease rather than every month as part of the payment.
Also, we do not recommend making a down payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. Keep the out of pocket to the fees and taxes.
Base MF is .00130; using your MSRP and discounted price, I get a payment of $519.61/mo after adding tax (10%? Ouch.). This leads me to believe the MF is being marked up on you
You aren't getting much of a discount off sticker; there is $1000 buildout cash, so the true discount is only about $2K.
Thanks for the information and the tip about the low down payment. I checked with the dealer and his is charging 0.00175 money factor.
I had another question - The payment $519.61/mo that you mentioned, is it for 12k miles or 10k miles? What will be the per month payment for the other case?

My calculations were based on 12,000 miles per year. Add 1% to the residual, or $460 (based on MSRP) - this will reduce your payment about $12-13/mo before tax
I'm beginning the process of considering my next vehicle after the lease ends on my 2013 3-series. Does anyone have experience with the Leasify app? Is it pretty accurate? It seems to be a fast way to check out several lease deals without having to wade through the research and payment calculation process, but don't want to rely on it too much if it is way off.

There is a poster here - @Truman_r - who represents Leasify. I can't speak to anything about the app but you can PM him directly and get your questions answered.
@scottnsc2 I will send you a PM but yes I strongly recommend using the Leasify app to request quotes (have dealers compete for your business), evaluate deals, and conduct research. We built Leasify to help car shoppers like you so feel free to reach out if you need help navigating the leasing process.
I ran the numbers in my lease calculator and found the monthly payment should be $375 + tax per month. Is it because some fee is not included yet? If I add about $835 charge (acquisition?), I will get $399.
Can someone comment on the deal? I wonder if I can push for a lower MF, lower price, or both. Can the residual go up to 66%?

Current 328i lease numbers are .00130 and 65% for 36/10. Residual is fixed by the bank.
Using your MSRP, offered price and reduced MF, I get a payment of $386/mo plus tax.
Destination charge should be included in the MSRP - the residual is based off the bottom line number on the window sticker. That will add about $27/mo to the pre-tax payment.
How are you covering the acquisition fee, first payment and other fees?
First of all what an amazing and helpful bunch of people here, i am so new to leasing and literally now i know some of the car dealers are called as sharks , well long story short, interested in the 328i with driver assistance package and was able to get a few numbers in

Is this a good deal team.
You don't add tax to the price in California, on a lease. The monthly payment is taxed, instead.
Ask the dealer for the lease figures. A purchase quote with tax added isn't useful.
.00130 MF and 65% residual for 36mo, 10K/yr, with $1000 buildout cash
another train of thought, does it make sense in adding a few MSD to bring down the price further rather than upfront.
Sure... cut your upfront to $1000, then make 4 MSDs at $400 each.. That will put the payment down to around $377, including tax.. And, you get the $1600 back at lease end..
I am interested in buying (not leasing) 2015 BMW 3 series. Current Rebates and Incentives say - Customer Cash $1000. What is that and how do I use it when negotiating a price?

Negotiate your best price - 5-7% off sticker is good - then deduct the incentives.
First of all thank you everyone for responding to my questions in the past. It has helped me not get oversold at the dealers.
The dealers in Seattle area do not seem to give a fair deal forget a good one. I am thinking of leasing the car (BMW 328i X drive) outside of WA state. Can someone guide me about the things I need to be careful about leasing from out of state as well as whether the pros and cons of it? If there is a link/blog/forum explaining this stuff, that will be great as well.

You will want to check with the department(s) of revenue in both WA and whatever state you decide to make the transaction in (OR or ID, I should think), to fully understand the tax implications.
Hi guys, first time posting here, the info I've seen is very helpful!
I'm in the market for a 2015 328i xDrive, 36 months, 15k miles.
The printout I got from the dealer said the car's MSRP is $45495 (including $995 destination charge)
I asked for the monthly payment and details, but the dealer did not give me fees. She rolled all the incentives and fees into the monthly payment, and gave me a quote for $531/month.
These are the parameters she said she used (Chicago tax included).

I purchased the wear and tear protection package for $800. Car has run flat tires, which means i don't have to replace at end of lease. scratches dents dings no problem all is covered.

No money down, no first payment, no security deposit, only need to pay doc fees and plates, about $437.
Is this a good deal? I wanted to get closer to $400, how close to that can I probably get? I have not done any negotiations yet.
Is the MSRP $45,495 or $47,600? Either way, what you need to know is the CAP cost. That's the selling price plus everything else.
And, if you want to be close to $400/mo., you need to pick a cheaper car.
The MSRP is $45,495. I'm guessing she added all the fees and counted it as the MSRP to make it look like she was giving me a bigger discount?
I would assume the CAP cost is the $42500 because the $531 she quoted me includes everything except doc fees and plates. If this doesn't sound right let me know and I will ask her.
Also, I am aware $400/month is unreasonable, but would it be a stretch to get the payment with taxes down to $450/month?
