Can you please provide me with the MF and residuals for both the 328dx and the 535dx, assuming 15k/36 months? Thank you!

.00130 MF and $500 eco credit for both

    328xd - 62% and $1000 buildout cash
    535xd - 60% and $1500 buildout cash
Thank you! Are the rates all the same for RWD?

Can you tell me if this is a good lease deal for a 2015 328i xDrive?
    36 months / 12,000 miles/yr

    MSRP $48,195
    Selling Price $44,220
    Residual $31,327
    Money Factor .00130
    Cash due on lease $2,625
    $438.46

I tried calculating myself and got $408 but could have done something wrong.
    Thanks

Just using the .00130 MF and 65% residual, I get $456/mo.

    What we don't know:
What does the $2625 cover? Any of that a CAP reduction?
    Does this price include tax?

There are 2 $1,000 rebates. One is called a "rebate" the other is called a "rebate cap reduction".
    "upfront sales tax" is $1,164.11
I believe that $2,625 cash due on lease is a reduction on the selling price.
However, this is all new to me so not sure.
    Other figures given:
    Acquistion fee: $795
    Hope this answers your questions.

So just reviewed the dealer's quote page and now finally understand how they arrived at $2,625 cash due on lease.
    It includes the following.
    First payment 438.46
    rebate cap reduction 1,000
    tax on cap reduction 73.75
    upfront sales tax 1,164.11
    acquistion fee 795
    tire fee 10
    insp fee 10
    doc fee 75
    tax on fees 58.63
    rebate - $1,000

The first 9 items are added and then the real rebate is subtracted.
Feeling a little stupid for not understanding this before.

    Good evening or morning,
I've always read the post, but this is my first time leave any questions. I also just registered to the site.

Second of all, I got some quote, but I am wondering about this fee and want to check of course I did not get a horrible deal with some crook.

    Here we go..

Okay... if the adjusted CAP cost is the selling price minus the $1000 rebate, then I get a payment of about $427/mo.

Off a little bit from their $438, but close. If we knew the actual net/adjusted CAP cost, it would probably be exact.

    1) There is some option added at the Port on this unit. Could be a spoiler, or carbon fiber mirrors... something. The good thing is, Port installed options that are part of the MSRP are also part of the residual. So, it's not a fee, it's an option.

    2) The difference between selling price and CAP cost is the acquisition fee. $925. This is marked up from the base fee of $795.

    3) Assuming 1.49 MF = .00149. This is also marked up from the base .00130, but as you noted, he is offering to remove the markup to close the deal. His residuals are correct, as well.

    4) Yes, CAP reduction is a downpayment. The net CAP cost is the $40,645 minus $971.

    5) Getting the .00130 MF will lower the payment about $13/mo.+tax. Going to 12K/yr will lower the residual by 1%, raising the payment by about $12/mo.+tax. (if you do both, the payment should be about the same).

I think I should take a step back and determine if the negotiated price is a good one. Have not done that.
This is a 328i xdrive, with nav, cold weather package, passanger assister, metallic paint, premium package. I checked that on your website and get a number several thousand less than the 44,220 I am quoted. I get $41,813.

Also it is not clear to me how he arrived at the $44,220 selling price.

I get $460.44, so pretty close to your quote. Decent discount from sticker (as befitting a demo) and the base MF make this a pretty sweet deal for a $52K car.

#1 - This should be reflected on the sticker from BMW.
#2 - I don't think it is marked up, it's the new fee as of August 1st. If the OP leases before 8/1, it should be $795.

Hello, can you please tell me if this is a good deal?
    MSRP 45195
with wheel locks add on It became 45355

Selling price 39995 However, total Capitalized cost became 40920 because dealer added bank fee for 925
but he already added destination and handling fee for 995 which became 45355

    36month 10000/tr
    1.3/66%

    residual value 29934.30
    capital reduction 573.91
monthly payment with tax 411.03 (tax was calculated 8% it is actually 8.1)

Drive off 1500 including cap reduction 573.91 tax for that 52.31 License and registration 382.75 doc fee 80
    first payment 411.03

So my 1st question is.. is this a good deal?
2nd is bank fee is 925.. Is this a legit fee? there is already destination and handling fee for 995
3rd question is I heard there are 1000 credit for this month? Where can they apply it?
4th question is If I want 12000/yr monthly payment will go up about $12??

Thank you so much in advance. This is a great place!

My calculations are only a few pennies different from yours.

Bank fee is imposed by the bank and cannot be waived. It is different from the destination fee.

The $1000 credit is probably built into the selling price, but it doesn't hurt to ask and see if that number can go lower.

If you change the number of miles per year from 10,000 to 12,000 the payment does go up about $12-13.

That's a great deal.. Looks like you could have had a 36 month lease for about $25/mo. less. But, I see the appeal of 24 months.

    Hi,

Can you explain the option I see above regarding waiving the acquisition fee in place of a higher money factor? Is it better to use the acquisition fee money towards MSD instead? Do you know if any of the details here will change in August with the new $925 acquisition fee?

    Thanks!

Is this a decent deal? I am not sure if I need to ask for more. If I buy MSDS to the max.. what is the MF and how much the monthly payment will be?

Hey! The waiver is an uncommonly done thing that BMWFS allows that I read about on the internet (turns out it's true). For a shorter 24 month lease, I saved around $12 compared to rolling the bank fee into the monthly payments. For a longer 36 month lease, it might increase payments because of the greater interest. Your dealer might not know about it, but their finance department should. And no idea about how things will change in August.

You only come out ahead, if it's a shorter term and/or a low price vehicle. Considering the .00035 bump, it is usually cheaper to pay it, than take the waiver... for a 36 month lease. You don't have to pay it upfront. It can be rolled into the CAP cost.

Not sure what you mean about details. There is a new program scheduled for August 1st. The acquisition fee change won't have any effect on that, though.

thanks for the clarification here. With the new, higher aquisition fee I was trying to see if applying the $995 towards MSDs would reduce the rate by more than it would increase by waiving the acq fee. It appears in most 36 mo cases it won't work out.

Still always nice to know all the tricks at our disposal!

Hi, I am planning to lease BMW 328i xdrive in Seattle for 36 months and 12k miles per year. I am leasing for the first time and read a few blogs but am a bit confused now. Following are my car details, could you tell me what will be a good deal for me -

    MSRP - 46,200
Avg Sale Price - 42,900 (KBB) in Seattle area

I am aiming at less than $400 per month with tax (tax rate at 8.88% in WA) and am flexible with down payment upto 5k.

Based on some friends deals, I quoted $380 per month with tax and 4k down payment to one of the dealers but he said he cannot do the deal on that. He did not provide me with any cost breakdown but quoted $524 per month with 4k down for a similar $47k 328i x drive. Was I offering a fair deal?

Also, today I came across http://www.pugetsoundbmw.com/Vehicles/2015/3/328ixdrivesedan/SpecialOffers.aspx?namc=153U&offertype=l

I want to get the car this week. Please let me know.

You need ask the dealer for a complete breakdown including the money factor and residual. You need to focus on getting the lease based on the lowest purchase price. Ask the dealer to itemize all charges. You can save $1,000 if you can sign up and get to this event today but it may be too late.

    https://ude.bmwusa.com/

Also, you need to learn about MSDs and how to use them. Don't put that much money down. What happens if the car is stolen next week? The insurance may pay the balance of the lease payments but you may be out the 4 grand.

Looking to get feedback on a lease deal that I want to finalize tomorrow.
    2015 335i m sport
    MSRP: $57,820
    Net Cap Cost: $53,688.57
    Residual: 65%
    Money Factor: 0.00130
    FL sales tax: 6%
    36month/10k miles

From what I've gathered the deal would be $675/month with no money down. Any feedback is much appreciated!

    Hi -
I'm trying to lease a 328xi. 36 months, 12k miles, msrp 37950. we're going back and forth on selling price, and I can't see to seem to get them down. I was told invoice is 35860 and I'm trying pay below that but can't find a dealer to do it.

Am I being unrealistic to get this vehicle at least $1000 below invoice for a total payment of $400/month only paying the first payment and rolling in all other fees? I'm in MA and pay 6.25% tax on the monthly payment.

    Thanks!

There is a $1000 incentive on this vehicle. If you get $1000 under invoice, where is the profit?

Even if there is profit, if you can't find a dealer to go that low, that pretty much answers your question.

It appears so as 12/36 on the 3-series was 65%/.00130 in July. Just surprising as I would think BMW is trying to move the 2015s to make way for the 2016s.

Thanks as always, for the help!

Might not be a lot of inventory for BMW to move, so they feel comfortable decreasing the residual this month.

Hard to say what goes on in the back rooms of the finance companies...

I went to the dealer and he is quoting me the following-

    BMW 328i x drive
    Lease period - 36 months
    Miles per year - 12k
    MSRP - $46205
    After Discount - $43187
Per Month including tax for 35 months - $462.53
    Down Payment - $5000 = $375.50 (Tax) + $369 (leasing fee - titles, etc.) + $950 (Acquisition fees) + $462.53 (first month's payment) + rest as down payment.
    Residual value - 64% ($29571.2)
    MF - did not share
Sales tax rate - 9.9% (Seattle, WA)
KBB fair purchase value - $42395

With Down payment of $2500, the per month payment becomes $538.59. However, based on my calculation I think per month numbers are high.

What should be a good price? Also, is 12k month lease is advisable against 10k given that the residual becomes 65% with 10k?

The number of miles you contract for should be dependent on your driving needs, not your budget. More expensive to pay for those miles at the end of the lease rather than every month as part of the payment.

Also, we do not recommend making a down payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. Keep the out of pocket to the fees and taxes.

Base MF is .00130; using your MSRP and discounted price, I get a payment of $519.61/mo after adding tax (10%? Ouch.). This leads me to believe the MF is being marked up on you

You aren't getting much of a discount off sticker; there is $1000 buildout cash, so the true discount is only about $2K.
