This is a used car, not a dealer demo or loaner vehicle? If so, we don't have any information on used car leases.

I would agree that $6500 cap reduction is way too much; we recommend $0, to be honest. That money is at risk if the car is stolen or totaled.

Thanks for replying--This is a Dealer Demo, not really a used car. I agree , it would be awful financially if car was stolen/totaled . Dealer won't drop the DP option in our initial bargaining phases, but is willing to make it less as long as the rest is carried over in monthly .. Just said I can do 2.5K and have my payments at 400$ + tax..With Zero Down I assume they'd want my monthly payments at 508.45$. Is this really that much better?
We haven't dropped the cap cost or anything yet. This is for 36 months/10K, and I'm not even sure if asking for more mileage is a good idea, if I decide to purchase or lease another car with BMW later on..
So, a demo is eligible for the new car lease rates.

.00132 and ... wait, what model is this? Not noted in your original post. Residual values vary.

The 6000 miles will be deducted from the calculated residual at .10-.25 per mile, but you should be able to negotiate a better selling price to compensate.

It is your choice to put money down or not; dealer cannot dictate that to you.

This is for an all wheel drive 2015 BMW 328i xDrive Sedan, which is what appeals to me.

    Included Packages
    Premium Package
Comfort Access Keyless EntryMoonroofLumbar SupportSatellite RadioDakota Leather Upholstery
    Navigation System w/Touchpad
BMW Online & BMW AppsAdvanced Real-Time Traffic InformationRemote ServicesInstrument Cluster w/Extended Contents
    Cold Weather Package
Heated Steering WheelHeated Front SeatsHeated Rear SeatsRetractable Headlight Washers

An updated email I got from another dealer at same place now is offering this:
    "Original Price $43,000

    Selling Price $35,888

36 Months lease with 15miles and $783.55 total drive off, the monthly lease payment is $495.62+sales tax or $542.70 including sales tax."

This seems significantly better than the first dealers offer! Would it make sense to take up on this offer and buy it with the residual value at end of lease?

55% for 36/15 on the 328xi. $3000 buildout allowance, which I'm guessing is included in the big discount you are getting from sticker.

Using your numbers, and adjusting .20/mile for the 6000 miles on it, I get $493/mo with tax (9.5%, right?).

Have the dealer tell you what the net cap cost is ... if higher than the $35,888 selling price, find out what's been added.

Hi. I'm about to take a 2015 335ixi. In the dealer program book for January, the residual on a 36/10 lease is 56%. Is that correct? I thought it should be 58. The mf is the same .00132.

    Its $650/mo

    msrp $58,920
    selling price $48,500
    tax rate is 8.875%
    docs $200

    Thanks!

I abandoned the used CPO 328 deal I was working on. Then switched gears towards the 320i.

I've been negotiating on a 2015 320i BMW with the following included:

    Navigation System w/Touchpad ($2,150)
BMW Online & BMW AppsAdvanced Real-Time Traffic InformationRemote ServicesInstrument Cluster w/Extended Contents
    Driver Assistance Package ($950)

    Here are the numbers:
    MSRP: 40,965
    Selling Price: 31,377
    Govt Charges (CA): 340.95
    Acquisition Fee: 925.00
    MSD Security Deposit: 2400
    Down Payment: 1500
    Gross Capitalized Cost: 32,326
    Residual Value: 21,711
    Cash Cap Reduction: 3,500
    Net Cap Cost: 32,326
Amount Paid by Customer:3600 (should include down payment of 1500 as dealer discussed as well as the multiple security deposits but math seems kind of off)
    Monthly Payment: $337.93
Money Factor: 0.00172 (has become high since Jan 4th.) This is very high but I'm being told too make up for the massive discount on the car (see selling price)

The above are estimates for a 10,000 mile lease/36 months which will definitely not suite my driving needs. If I were to change the terms to a 15,000 mile lease then monthly payment would be $374.72 if multiple max security deposits (MSDs) are used at 2800$. Obviously residual will lower as well. The excess mileage terms are garbage. First the dealer told me it would be .16 cents a mile into the lease to purchase additional mileage if we felt this was going to be a problem. Later she 'found out'' that BMWFS new lease terms changed as of Jan 04 and would now be .23 cents midterm and .25 cents at lease end for any extra miles. The lowest minimal drive off is '1500.00' she is saying. Most of the very good deals ended already is the common talk I'm hearing around the dealerships.

The dealer is claiming this is an outstanding deal that she rarely sees, and is surprised the dealership is taking such a huge loss.. I'm starting to feel skeptical, after feeling quite excited earlier as I think about the inflated MF. Dealer says that this is because the car is already taking a huge loss in the selling price of 31.3K which the dealer purchased for 38.8K.

My other options are to pick a model without the navigation package (not that crazy about it either) , but on an uglier trim color , which would have the rear view camera with a selling price of 29,720 have a lower monthly payment by X amount (going to sleep now tired to do the math)

Then once I start thinking about the 328, my mind starts spinning out....I hate buying cars but folks like you make it easier.

    Appreciate anyone 's help!

Sounds like a lot of bs. Most 15 year cars are being discounted heavily to move them out.  Why don't you search for a car you want online through a car site and go to that dealer?  That's what i normally do.

Might be time to find a different BMW dealer .... I can sort of understand the dealers desire to give you either a great discount from sticker or the base MF ... but, you should be able to get both.

And, getting quotes for a number of miles that won't work for you is kind of silly, too.

Thanks Michael. Dealer called this morning and said they can get me the .0031 MF. Anything else I should be trying to discount? How much does this improve the deal?

Hello, just wanted to confirm that 2015 328 GT still apply for the 56% and $3000 buildout cash for a 36/15 lease. Since I don't see the 2015 GT and Wagon's explicitly listed on the BMW site.

    Thanks

Adding $2800 for acq.fee, dealer fee, tax, title/registration, I get $468/mo. with $468 due at signing.

7 MSDs and MF of .00083 drops the payment to about $435/mo.

I'm looking at a demo 328i with 5500 miles on it. Does this look correct?

    MSRP $50,645 (includes destination charge)
    Net Cap Cost $38720
    Selling Price $37879
    MF .00132
    RV $28103.10

$1000 drive off which includes 1st month, $405 plates, $82.74 cap red, $14.65 tax, $80 doc fee.

    $417/month

I'm also interested in suggestions regarding selling price...no idea if it's a "good deal". It has:

    5500 miles
    Silver/Black Leather

I'm looking at a demo 328i with 5500 miles on it. Does this look correct?

    MSRP $50,645 (includes destination charge)
    Net Cap Cost $38720
    Selling Price $37879
    MF .00132
    RV $28103.10

$1000 drive off which includes 1st month, $405 plates, $82.74 cap red, $14.65 tax, $80 doc fee.

    $417/month

I'm also interested in suggestions regarding selling price...no idea if it's a "good deal". It has:

    5500 miles
    Silver/Black Leather
    Driver Assistance Pkg
    Lighting Pkg
    Premium Pkg
    Sport Line
    Technology Pkg
    Heated Front Seats
    Enhanced B/t and Smartphone In

Looks about right. You want more than $13k off sticker? It's a great deal as is.

Hi I need some advice on a lease offer.

I found a demo 2015 328i xDrive Sport Wagon that has 10k miles on it but has every single option except Harmon Kardon:

    - M Sport (Estoril Blue)
    - Tech
    - Premium
    - Dynamic (Plus)
    - Lighting
    - Driver Assistance
    - Cold Weather

MSRP was $59k, but the sell price is $44k. With a residual value of $33k, it comes to a $3k cap cost and $425/mo (1st month and TTL are both rolled into that price).

Based on my calculations, it sounds like I'm getting a 70% residual - is that even possible? If so I imagine this is a killer deal, no?

.00132 and 58% for 36/10, then adjusted downward for the miles.

Assuming .20 mile adjustment, I get $428/mo + tax if the selling price is the net cap cost.

A pretty good deal for a car stickering close to $60K.

Residual is a percentage of MSRP, not selling price.

Any input for 2015 328xi lease (36 months, 10k miles). Looking for residual value and MF in CT. I was able to get around 21% off MSRP for a loaner car with 6k miles.

    Thanks for the response!

Makes sense on the residual calc.

I think the breakdown came to $399/mo + tax, not including the $3k cap cost upfront. So it's only a "pretty good" deal?

If I amortize the upfront cost into the monthly, that comes out to $482/mo all in. I've never seen a $60k car lease for under $500/mo...maybe I'm just not that familiar with BMW leases?

The gigantic discount from sticker is driving the low payment.

Confirm that the entire $3000 up front is going to cap reduction.

I'm looking at a 2015 328xi with MSRP of $48150, and 5300 miles on it (service loaner). 5 mins on the phone with the dealer and they knocked the price down to $38k and offered me $399/month + tax (36/10) with 7 MSDs and nothing down except first months payment, title/registration, and $195 admin fee.

Should I try to knock off another $2k? Anything wrong or anything to watch out for when going for service loaners?

Also is anyone here familiar with personal property tax on a car in Missouri? I'm live in Chicago where they have an effective 18.5% tax and am trying to lease in Missouri under my mom's name to avoid the use tax in Chicago, but heard property tax exists in Missouri (st. louis). Can't seem to find a concrete number for property tax.

    Thanks

Can't hurt to try .. every $1000 off the selling price will lower your pre-tax payment about $28/mo.

Though, you are getting $10K off the sticker price (over 20%).

The residual on a lease of a loaner car will be adjusted down for the miles it has on it .. about .10-.25 per mile deducted from the calculated residual.

Have you checked the Missouri Department of Revenue website? Might be information there about personal property tax on vehicles. Put it this way .. do you think it will be 18%?

Sorry for a dumb question but what is a 3k build out credit and how does it apply to a lease. My dealer made no mention of this. Appreciate the help.

Looking at a 2015 328i sedan CPO for around $34,500 with MSRP originally at $42,500. Should I be able to get more off original sticker. The car has 4,500 miles. What is the MF and residual on this car. Any incentives for 2015's? Thanks.

I will leave it to the moderators to answer your questions about MF, residual, incentives, etc.

But from one consumer to another, I just bought a 2015 328i with 5500 miles on it this weekend. MSRP was $50k, and we paid about $13k below that.

    Good luck!

Is it a service loaner or demo? We only have numbers, if it qualifies for the new car program.

I believe it is a service loaner. It says CPO elite.

    Dear all,

If anyone can give me the residuals and MF on 2015 320 I would appreciate it. Location is Southern California.

    Can you please advise for:
    24months/10k miles
    24months/12k
    36month/10k
    36month/12k

Also, does the MF and residuals change for different 3-class models, such as 2015 320 xdrive or 328i? Or are they all the same?

If it qualifies for the new car program, .00132 MF and 55% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr. The 4500 miles will further reduce the residual by $900.

CPO is an extended warranty program. It's often applied to service loaners, but also to used cars.

    .00132 MF

    61%/55% residual for 24/36 month, 12K/yr. Add 1% for 10K/yr. $3000 buildout cash.

320xi has same program. 328 residuals are 2% higher

    Kyfdx, thanks so much.

Is this the same for GT models as well?

I just came across a factory demo 328 GT, with about 8k on it. Would the MF and residual be similar on this vehicle, or does the existing 8k on it diminish the residual?

    Thanks so much.

    2015 3-seeries GT - .00132 and 64% for 24/12 or 58% for 36/12. $3000 buildout cash.

Residual would be lowered to account for the miles on the demo vehicle.
