Was given a quote on a lease and see a Bank Rate fee of $995. What is this fee?

Bank rate is charged by BMW Financial Services. Should be $925; dealer cannot mark it up.

What would be a good percentage off of sticker for a 2015 328i sedan with about 4500 miles. Thanks.

At least 20%. Possibly 25%. Is this a loaner, or factory doe car? BMW will allow those to be leased as new. Since they have not been titled.

When the dealer say the MRSP for the vehicle is that the orginal sticker when it was new or this with the sticker price used 2015 with 4500 miles. Sticker at $45,700 seems high. Current price offering for $37,000 before negotiation. So off of the $45,700 would be 20%?

MSRP is the factory window sticker when brand new.

20% off the $45,700 would be $9140, or a selling price of $36,560

    Michaell, kyfdx- thanks so much.

I am looking at a Factory Demo 328i GT, 8900 miles, which has an original MSRP of $53500.

The dealer agreed to the price of $40900.

MF is .00132, residual is 59% 36/10. For the existing milage on the car, they are reducing the residual by 0.20c per mile used. So that comes to about $1800 residual reduction.

    Is this a good deal?

    Thanks again!

$403/mo + tax is a pretty good lease payment for a car that stickers north of $53K.

    Latest quote on 2015 328xi demo w 3100 miles in MA: MSRP $45100 Selling price $35875 12km/yr 36m $1500 total out of pocket w 6.25% MA tax = $436/m.

Dealer says "the moneyfactor we use is the regional rate which is .00175 for both the '15 and the '16. The residual on the '15 @ 36 months, 12k/yr = 57%"

What are the MF and residuals in MA for 2015 328xi? Is there extra bonus cash as well? Seems the MF is high. Is this a good deal? Other posts look like they are getting better deals.

    Thanks!

Base MF is .00132, so that is marked up.

Residual cannot be modified by the dealer.

$3000 incentive available, which is factored into the big discount you are getting from sticker.

Trying to confirm numbers my CA gave me. What is the residual and MF for a 2015 328i in 90255. Looking specifically for 36/12 and 36/15. Also, I've been seeing a $3000 build out allowance, is this applied as a cap cost reduction? And does it apply to any 2015?

    Thank You!

    .00132 MF and 57%/55% residual.

Yes, the $3000 buildout allowance is only for the 2015 model. As far as we can tell, it's applied as a CAP cost reduction (which means it is taxed).

Hi I need some advice on a lease offer.

I found a demo 2015 328i xDrive Sport Wagon that has 10k miles on it but has every single option except Harmon Kardon:

    - M Sport (Estoril Blue)
    - Tech
    - Premium
    - Dynamic (Plus)
    - Lighting
    - Driver Assistance
    - Cold Weather

MSRP was $59k, but the sell price is $44k. With a residual value of $33k, it comes to a $3k cap cost and $425/mo (1st month and TTL are both rolled into that price).

So dealership came back and made the following revised offer for the same car:

    - $1750 due at signing, including 1st month payment (so that means only $1315 cap cost?)
    - $435/mo for a 36mo/12k lease

This looks to me like a really good deal - thoughts?

.00132 and 58% for 36/12, less the deduction for the 10,000 miles ($1500, I think).

$425/mo (with tax?) for a $59K car is a smoking deal.

Rate is $435/mo, but yes that is inclusive of everything (tax, doc fees, acq fees).

Glad to hear you agree it is a solid deal! I think I may jump on it tomorrow - sometimes, it's nice to use American's lack of interest in wagons to my advantage...

Please confirm my understanding - since 1st month is part of the $1,750 due at signing, that means my cap cost is only the $1315 difference?

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking .. If you are giving the dealer $1750 at signing, that's in. No cap cost reduction as I see it.

Sorry, maybe I'm not using the correct terminology?

When I say "cap cost reduction", I'm talking about the amount which I pay upfront that goes towards reducing my monthly payments. In this case, if the $1750 I'm paying at signing includes my first month payment, the difference ($1315) is just an upfront cost that I'm incurring to get the lower payment.

Is that not cap cost reduction?

It is, but I was under the impression that the check you were writing to the dealer was for $1750. Now are you telling me that the check will be closer to $3000?

$925 acquisition fee? Title/license/dealer fees? Pretty easy to eat up $1315, without having anything left to reduce the CAP cost.

No, total out of pocket due at signing is $1750 comprised of:

    - $435 for 1st month payment
    - $1315 towards cap cost or other fees

I think kyfdx made a valid point - between dealer/acquisition fee, I'm just essentially paying all that upfront instead of a cap cost reduction?

$925 acquisition fee, dealer fee of $x would easily account for the $1315. This is not a cap cost reduction - these are inception fees.

I know there are no crystal balls, but I have a 2015 328i xdrive for a lease in mind; however my current lease with a VW Jetta doesn't end until May. Am I being too optimistic to hope that the $3000 build-out cash deal will be available for the upcoming months? (assuming that the car I'm looking at stays in stock with the dealer) Or is now most likely one of the best months to lease a 2015 3-series?

As supplies dwindle, I suspect that at some point BMW will stop supporting 2015 3-series leases. When?

    No idea.

I'm looking at a 328 xi GT with 6000miles on it. I haven't get the quote yet.
MSRP above 53000. Price before negotiate is 43000
    Plan for a 36 lease 12000. 7MSD.

I proximate price at 420+1580 at singing after tax. Is it right.

I have a question that the 3000 build out allowance can't affect on this one right?
Carfax only one record "Titled or registered as personal lease vehicle

Additional miles are deducted from the 15K/yr residual, at a rate of $0.15-0.25 per mile.

So, for 36mo, 20K/yr, it would be 58% of MSRP minus $2250-$3000.

You might check with a dealer, though. It's possible they special programs for 25K/yr that would be better than that (info that we don't have).

New to leasing, and trying to get as much information together as I can for my wife's BMW purchase.

Looking at a 2015 328 x drive fully optioned (w/ sport line), brand new.

    MSRP $55,175
    Sale Price (via website) $48,675

What is MF and residual? Looking at 24mo., 36mo., 12k miles per year.
Also, what are any current specials or discounts? I am assuming that those are being applied into the sales price. What can someone reasonably expect -- and as an estimation for basing offers on, discount/ asking price off MSRP for a 2015 328 x drive?

This would be our first lease, any other insights would be great. I am reading up on all I can to be best suited for this purchase.

    Thanks in advance!

63% or 57% and .00132. $3000 buildout cash, which is likely to be included in your quote. Generally, 5-7% off sticker, before incentives, is a good target.

Hello, I am looking at a higher mileage lease. What would the residual be for a 340i with 20k or 25K year for 36mo? Thank you.

I just realized I posted this in the 2015 3 series lease forum. My original question is for a 2016 340i. Do I need to repost in the 2016 forum or are the residuals the same?

Thank you very much for the information. Regarding MSDs, is there a set amount per SD that reduces the MF?

    Thanks again.

I get $376/mo + tax, so looks about right, depending on your tax rate (8% ?)

Yes. I was intrigued by the residual though at just 51%.
Is there a different calculation because of the existing miles on the car?

Yes, the miles are deducted at a rate of .15-.25 per mile, subtracted from the calculated residual

    Thank you Michael,
So what is the standard residual percentage for both the 320i xDrive and the 328i xDrive, on a 36/10 lease? 57%?
