Thanks for the Oct numbers on the gts! I got very close to where I wanted on the 328xi gt but couldn't quite get there, 55,650 msrp, sell price 49950 (with 1500 october incentive built in), .65 residual, .00115 mf including 7 extra MSDs (much higher than I expected) 7% sales tax , 925 acq fee, brought the monthly payment to 519 and I ended up walking away, Hopefully this was the right decision.
Could I please get the new incentives/residuals/money factors on these in PA:
kyfdx, the state is California. And no this is not from last month. I am putting no money down and only paying out of pocket costs for first month, DMV costs and acquisition fees. I believe the dealer is putting the taxes on the vehicle into the overall cost of the vehicle. I hope this helps.

The base MF for November is .00131. .00134 was the base in October. Also, 61% doesn't match any current residual for November for a 2015 328i.
CA taxes the monthly payment, so the tax amount on the selling price is invalid.
Kyfdx, thank you. So what is the residual on a 2015 328i? Is it .61 or is it .65?
And so I understand correctly, If I put nothing down and only pay the acquisition fee, dmv fees and first month lease, the actual sales tax of the negotiated price ($6,300 off msrp $42,800 - 6,300 = $36,500)) is NOT part of the equation, but rather built into my 36 monthly payments? (Thanks in advance).

36/10 residual on a 2015 328i is 60%.
Yes, if you do not pay the taxes up front, they are added into your cap cost and become part of your monthly payment.
But, you can't pay your taxes upfront in California. They are collected on the monthly payment, and are a whole lot less than you were quoted..
Dealers do that a lot... they lay out all the numbers as though it were a purchase, then come up with a "magic" monthly payment that doesn't relate to a lot of the numbers on the purchase quote.
You are correct about the taxes.... the only tax paid upfront is on items collected upfront. The acquisition fee is taxable, so you'll have tax on that, but the rest of the tax is on the payment.
Thanks Kyfdx and Michaell. I re-ran the numbers. The MSRP is 42,800. The Cap is $36,500. I am now using the .60 residual and the .00131. I am not putting any cash down. I will pay $1,863 out of pocket at signing, which includes the first payment, acquisition fee + tax, doc fee, dmv fees.
My total monthly on a 36 month lease including tax is $425.37 per month.

Michaell, I don't understand where the bmw dealer is getting the additional $13 per month from. All he told me, was that he just puts the numbers in a software template and it spits out the numbers. I too questioned that, but he read back all of the numbers. What else is hidden that I don't know about?

Ask him for the net cap cost .. I suspect it's higher than the selling price we are using. If so, find out what's been added to the sell price to get the net cap cost number. That should identify the delta.

Thanks!
I can't come up with a payment that high, given your numbers. How is a lease taxed in DC? On the monthly payment, or the full selling price? Either way, what is the tax rate?
The money factor is marked up from the base .00082. Shouldn't the MSD amount be $2800? ($400 X 7).

The Net Cap Cost would be helpful.
The DC taxes are actually monthly "use taxes" of 10% of the monthly payment, so the monthly I stated is inclusive of the 10% MUT. There is no cap cost reduction, so I'm assuming the sales price is the net cap cost. Slightly updated numbers:
MSRP: 50,810.00 Sales price: 38,721.00 Miles 9,000 Mileage penalty (@ 0.15): 1,350.00 Residual value %: 0.60 Lease-end value: 29,136.00 Net cap cost: 38,721.00 MF: 0.00102 Monthly payment: $391.50

Fees (acq fee, processing fee, tags): 1,100
7MSDs: 2,800.00
First monthly payment: 391.50
I get $336/mo.+tax. That puts me at $369/mo.
It's a good deal, either way.... but, I'd ask for the CAP cost, so you know what you are paying for. $1100 wouldn't cover the fees/tags that you itemized above.
Just got an offer by my local dealer in Southern California
This is for a factory demo.
2015 328xi sedan with 6600 miles (M-sport, premium, cold weather, navi w/ touchpad, lighting package) MSRP 52,950 Zero cap cost reduction Net cap cost of 41,150 Residual - 60% 36/10k Mileage penalty - 0.20/mile over 500 miles (think this subtracts around 1,200 on the residual) MF 0.00082 Max MSDs of 2,800
Drive off costs - around 1850 (title, doc, first payment, acq. fee) + 2800 MSDs for total of 4650.
I have been looking around a bit and have seen some decently priced CPO elites (2015, <15k miles), especially ones that were loaners.
I had a few questions about these:
* Can any CPO elite be leased? Is there anything special about a loaner vs a typical CPO elite? * Does the money factor change? * Can any of the November incentives (such as 1500 Novemberfest) be applied? * Is the car still covered under the 4 year full warranty with full service coverage? In addition to the extra 1 year of CPO elite warranty? * Any general advice for leasing these?

CPOs are usually cars that have actually been owned before. You'll have to ask the dealer if they qualify for the new car program. Demos and service loaners almost always qualify, but true used cars usually don't.
If they don't qualify for the new car program, then the lease program could be drastically different, and they may not be worth leasing. Either way, they will definitely still have the original 4 year factory warranty (from the original in-service date). You'll have to check on the maintenance plan with the dealer.

Looking for residuals on a leftover 2015 328i xdrive sport wagon, 36/12. Also, are the $3,000 total incentives on the sedan available for the wagon? Thanks!

Hey guys. First, thanks to everyone for posting. I am reading some conflicting things from the recent posts and after talking to the dealerships, I am not seeing matching rates.
Can someone confirm the .00131 and 60% for 36/12 [MF=.00081 after max of 7 MSDs]? Can someone also confirm $3000 on incentives for November 328i xdrive?

This what bmwusa is currently offering on their website for a 2015 320i, does this seem like a good deal ? What would be the money factor and residual on this offer ?

Any national or regional deal is just "OK". We don't recommend making a down payment on a lease, and you should be able to negotiate a lower selling price than that offered in the promotion.

I want to know if this following deal is decent on a 328i sedan with navi, rear mirror, parking sensors:
MSRP: 42,800
- 6,300 (incl. the incentives and negotiated price off)
= 36,500 + 8% sales tax (2,920) = 39,420 (note: I am putting NO CASH down)
Residual @ .61 = 24,046.20
MF: .00134
Out of pocket at lease signing: Acq fee, first lease payment and DMV fees totaling: $1,877.
10,000 miles
$438 (incl. tax) per month.
Also, this quote looks like it's from last month?

Car has demo miles on it, how is that adjusted for in the residual?
.00131 MF
Number of miles * deduction per mile (.10-.25) is subtracted from the calculated residual.

Aside from 2015 335i, I also inquired about a 2015 328i demo car (5,977 miles) and below is the offer that I got:
36mo/12k
MSRP: $51,925
Selling: $40,274
Residual: 59% (Adjusted from 57% to account for the mileage on the vehicle)
MF: 0.00131
Monthly: $424.26 include 8.00% tax
Drive Off: 1st Mo + Acq. Fee + Other Fees = $1,918.72
So I was wondering if dealers normally bump the residual to offset the existing mileage on the vehicle or this is based on an individual dealer basis.
