Hello Again I am working with an Internet Specialist at Kia Dealership.
Here is what they stated for financing and leasing. My focus is the LEASING part.
Kia Sorento - SX V6 w/ cargo net $50
If financing - Invoice: $ 39,098 Selling price $38, 698 ($400 under the invoice)? NYC tax $3256, docs $75, tire tax $12.50, and NY State inspection $ 10, and plates $300 Incentive $2000 MAKING SELLING PRICE $ 36,698 OTD - Out the door $ 40,352.45 (66 months 1.9% $644.90)
THE LEASING PART (same vehicle as listed above)
The selling price remains the same and the incentive remains the same. 36 months / 12k with $2300 (plates included) out of pocket Your monthly payment would be $394 (everything included).
The residual $ 24, 477 Money factor 0.000970
I don't want to put $2300 down. I want to counteroffer and only put down (dmv, plates, first month, and the docs) = $780
Also, I want $382.16 for monthly (with everything included).
The SX V-6 , awd models Invoice = $38,408 which includes the 895 destination fee. I think the numbers you have are above Invoice and not below. Dec, 30th and 31st are the 2 best days to negotiate and buy a new vehicle.
If @Michaell will confirm that your leasing numbers are correct then your monthly leasing number can be reduced by negotiating further with this dealer or several others. Liberty and Gateway Kia in NJ, are high volume dealerships they will make a nice deal with you tomorrow if you want to go over the Bridge. I will be negotiating with both tomorrow myself.
NJ doc fee's are $300 ( plus ) at some dealerships in NJ, not like NY where our doc's are capped at $75 dollars. So before you seal any deal in NJ ask while negotiating pricing with these dealerships what there doc charge is? This will help you counter that charge in your asking price.

Any suggestions? Oh I believe this is an AWD.
36/12 lease numbers for Sorento SX V6 AWD are .00097 and 60%. $2000 lease cash.
We would need to know the MSRP as well to calculate the payment. @brian125 is correct with the pricing information - there may be more room to bring down the price.
Your out of pocket costs on a lease include:
NY State Tax - can be added to cap cost First payment DMV costs Doc fees Bank fee - can be added to cap cost
The $12/mo difference works out to about $432, so that's what you'll need to save on the cap cost.
The SX V-6 , awd models Invoice = $38,408 which includes the 895 destination fee. I think the numbers you have are above Invoice and not below. Dec, 30th and 31st are the 2 best days to negotiate and buy a new vehicle.

I see... I have this entire week off and I have been trying so hard for the dealer to lower the selling price (first). They keep throwing the monthly at me. I have the vin# and waiting now for the MSRP now.
Good catch (and reminder Brian125)! Thanks for that. If you are going to NJ, what vehicle are you trying to get? When I check TRUEcar, $36,718 was for upstate NY. NJ wasn't even on the list. They must be high on their price. Or don't have any SX. I really have my heart on the SX.
Call both dealers In NJ I recommended and any other targeted dealers you may have . ( Internet dept. only) let each one know you will buy tomorrow for $800 maybe 1k lower than your quote now. You decide . $800 lower in NJ is really 500 due to the 300 doc fee. play hard ball for a day or 2 sticking to your price. Tell each dealer x price gets my business today or any dealer you call.. This price is not over the top at all . Its just a matter of negotiating the price around.
Know your exact model , correct leasing numbers and term so your on a even level playing field with every dealer you speak with. You now have the correct invoice price w dest/ charge. let all dealers work your final lease numbers off the final agreed sales price . When a dealer throws a monthly number at you first you tell them lets discuss price of vehicle 1st . Example.......... I buy it for 1000 below invoice plus any incentives / rebates due me. Yes or No. ( put each dealer on the spot that moment for the sale ).... If its Yes then ok now run the numbers for a lease . If its No cant do example (1k ) below ask dealer what's your closest offer to mine to earn my business Today. Oh 600 below.... ok thanks I will consider it but I'm looking for 1k to buy today . I will get back to you . Then go down your list of targeted dealerships. This will work good in a email to the dealers also but I recommend a direct call to each Internet mgr. A phone call telling each dealership I buy today and here is my credit card to hold vehicle speaks volumes and will get the job done getting each ( most ) dealers lowest price . If they baulk move on to the next dealer. This process separates the dealers that sell vehicles and ones just BS ing u ........................ to get you in the showroom. Work on getting a bottom line price and agreement before setting foot in any dealership. Email price conformation with pricing is fine.
The more dealership you get involved in pricing the better you will do. If you don't want to grind it out price wise all over try to lower your price by 500 dollars in the NY area. ( that's reasonable ) In NJ due to doc fee's you want $800 below invoice price of................. $38,408

Below is my list of very good kia dealers you should email / call if you don't mind traveling to .
Yonkers, Karp, AutoWorld, Destination, Generation, Revolution kia . Go thru there Internet dept. mgrs. for best price .
Thanks Brian!!
@Michaell This is what they are telling me the MSRP is $41,140. This must be a SXL or a fully loaded SX of which I don't want.
I wanted the SX V6 with MRSP ($ 39,000 - $ $40, 950). or maybe she is looking at a fully loaded SX V6.
Jackie, Sorry to hear you still having problems identifying a vehicle/ pricing this dealer wont disclose to you.
Please call each dealer and tell them What you want and not what they what to push off on you.
Target each dealer and tell them X model, X options, X price is what I need for you to earn my business today. Yes or No or a price counter offer...... is the only responses your looking for today.
Jackie You have the invoice price on the SX v-6 model. Above dealer needs to be removed off your list if they wont help you with the model/ figuring pricing you want.
There should be no doubt or games when buying. That's why I prefer to pick up the phone and talk to each dealers internet mgr........ one on one. That 2 min conversation will help you buy from that dealer or move onto the next.
When calling dealers wright everything down on a pad next to dealers name and number. If they only have a certain vehicle....... Once you get model, and added options to any vehicle you can figured out both invoice and msrp. Stupid floor sales people that are not in the internet depts. need to be avoided at all costs unless your in that dealerships.
Hello, looking for numbers for massachusetts. Sorento V6-limited for 36/12 24/12 and 36/15 24/15 and if there are any rebates coming up? I heard pricing changes are coming up. Thanks!

Checking to see if MF/residual are any different for NJ. Tier 1 credit
Sorento SX and SX-L V6 AWD.
24 months 10k and 12k miles.
24/12 numbers: SX - .00060 and 64%. $3500 lease cash SX-L - .00067 and 60%. $5500 lease cash
Add 1% for 10K
We think these are the right numbers for NJ.
Are the MF and residuals any better for 36 months at those mileages? Seeing some weird things on the Kia site when I estimate payments with their tool. A 24 month/10k lease comes back at $954/mo (because the rebate is only $1500).

Is the MF different in Virginia? A dealer quoted me .00026 for an SXL turbo AWD, versus .00010 in Delaware/PA. How I can get him to make the correction? He's not budging. The car will be registered in PA. Thanks.

Yes, VA and DE/PA have different lease numbers.
.00026 for 36 months in VA, .00010 in DE or PA.
So if I get the car in the different state, the dealer is not required to adjust the figures to the state in which the vehicle will be registered?

I believe they have to use the numbers for the state in which the dealer resides.

The bank (KMF) decides that. I'm not sure what their rules are.
I live near a state border, and almost always get my cars in the neighboring state. A couple of times, Honda was running a lease special that I wasn't eligible for, because of the state I lived in, even though it was valid in the state where the dealer is located.

I live near a state border, and almost always get my cars in the neighboring state. A couple of times, Honda was running a lease special that I wasn't eligible for, because of the state I lived in, even though it was valid in the state where the dealer is located.
