What did you pay for the EX 4 WD? Do you like the quality of the fabric? I do not want leather and am also going to purchase the EX 4WD. I love the red one!
I find the fabric to feel very high quality. It looks great! I have the black interior which looks sweet but you'll see dust & such easier than with gray. I paid 23,850 (final including destination) before T&T. Not the best deal, but far from the worst. Got lock nuts included with it.
No.. they would not give me the EX-L for 24,500. They were more thinking of 25,000. That's $1150 more than I paid. I am not that interested in the leather; would've been nice but meh. I do not like the EX-L middle console either. It has the CD-changer in there, the EX has it in the dash. That's because of the Navigation option the EX-L has.
Hi Folks, Thank you very much for posting useful information on this forum. I had been reading the postings here before I made my purchase, so would like to share my figures for your benefit if you are planning to purchase one...So....these are my figures...;-)
Glacier Blue 4WD EX 07: 22834 Base Price (including destination) 198 Window Etching (Kind of forced sale) 1612 7% NJ Tax 7.50 Tire Fee 254 Registration & Title 189 Documentary Fee ------------------------- 25094.74 Out the Door
I think its not so bad, although the dealer did kind of insist on window etching, otherwise he could not make the sale because of no margin elsewhere. He offered me 5 free oil changes & 2 years free roadside assistance....This is the lowest & most favorable deal I could work out....
I checked the inventory of Honda dealers in Indianapolis and one dealer lists 4 vehicles, two dealers list 2 vehicles, and one dealer lists 1 vehicle available. If you haven't already done so, I would contact the internet sales department of these dealers to get a price quote for a vehicle of interest. Ask them to include info on all fees, including dealer prep and paperwork cost. Make sure that the destination charge is included in their quote. Test drive the vehicle you select. I note that there are 4 EX-L with nav available so it looks like they are starting to appear. If the out of state dealer has the best price (check his inventory on-line) they can usually give you a temporary tag and then tell you how Indiana will collect their sales tax and registration fees. Go with the best deal and don't look back. Good luck and share the bid info with us (base price plus fees). Take care Ralph
I paid only $500 under sticker price for my 2wd LX. And getting that much off was quite a feet. I do think that has primarily to do with inventory. The dealerships in my area have a lot of 4wd EX's, but very few of them have LX's in stock, or if they do they are 4wd.
So I didn't do as well as most people here, but I'm still happy with my purchase
That's a good price. 5 free oil changes aren't a bad takeaway either. The glacier blue is beautiful. I went for the silver, but the blue was my 2nd choice. Enjoy it!
Hi Sweesie, I got my deal at Garden State Honda in Clifton, NJ (on Rt 3West)....I also highly recommend Metro Honda in Jersey city...they were offering me to buy CRV EX 4WD at 22839 including destination & even asked me how can they make me buy silver or red (means might have gone 100 bucks lower)...but since I wanted only light blue, I didn't get into negotiation....So who knows if you strike a deal at Metro Honda, you will not have to forcibly have your windows etched for $198 ;-)....Hope it helps. regards.
Hi Hansmuff, Silver is truly a great color but my two past cars have been silver so just wanted some change this time. Good Luck & enjoy your shiny silver....regards
Depending on where you are in Indiana - on Monday I received a phone call and purchased within 2 hours a new '07 EX-L AWD in black (color wife wanted) from Planet Honda in Matteson, IL - a south suburb of Chicago near the Indiana border (and over 50 miles from my home).
Price was $25,000 plus tax, title and license. Doc fee was the state maximum allowable of $57.33. At $1,595 off of MSRP, this was far better than what I had been experiencing elsewhere via internet quotes (see post 3723 - $0 to $100 off, with subsequent bids of of $400 off and $550 net of add-ons).
Internet sales guys and dealership were really great - very professional, no BS and absolutely zero pressure to take or purchase add-ons, extra warranties, etc. None of the vehicles had add-ons, either. Was in and out very quickly - cleanest and most hassle-free purchasing experience ever. Extremely happy overall on all counts.
Generally, anything the dealer offers is profit for them, including protectant, warranties, etc. You need to learn to stay away from this stuff. Extended warranties overwhemingly favor the seller, not the customer, and various consumer guides have warned customers against them for years. Not just for cars, but for appliances, electronics, etc. It's a cash cow for the seller and manufacturer. That said, they do pay off in a small number of cases (like about 2%). Hondas are one of the brands where it's probably not going to be needed.
You can get the warranty online for less, and you don't have to purchase it until just before the standard warranty expires. If you are bound and determined to get the warranty, this is a good way to do it. However, if you buy it at the time of vehicle purchase, you can probably roll the cost into the loan, which may be important to you.
I agree that warranties and protectants are just rip offs. When I saw in ebay the price for 7yr/100,000 miles was $875.00. So, I was happy buying it from the dealer for $1100.00 as my loan will take care of it. Still, I have the time to cancel the honda care. I am thinking about it.
Initially, they qioted me $700 for the protectant. Gosh! I can't beleive, how much the dealers make profit out of it. Finally I paid $200.00 for it. As some one said it just costs $25.00 or $5.00. Well, let me make myself happy by saying the rest $175.00 or $195.00 for Honda labor .
Most dealers, that "protectant" is applied by two illegal aliens, sprayed on with a Hudson Sprayer that most people use in their gardens, and literally mopped all over the exterior with old-fashioned cotton string mops.
Just for info, the best price I could get in Miami, FL is basic MSRP from all dealers in the area. One dealer was even adding a battery fee of $60.00. Supply also seems limited. I guess I'll wait awhile.
I just ordered the Silver 2007 Honda CR-V EX-L w/Navigation 4WD. I did the Edmunds price quote and a received a quote for $28,000. I also got the roof rack ($322) and the window visors ($235). With all taxes and fees added in the total was $30,748.76. The internet manager took off the destination charge so that is how he got the $28,000. That was at Rosen Honda in Gurnee, Illinois. I received other quotes and they were just above or just below. I chose Rosen because that dealership is closest to where I live. There are better deals on trims already at dealers, but I wanted the navigation system and was willing to pay the premium. The navigation system, by the way, is the same as the Honda Civics and was just ranked ninth in JD power and associates customer satisfaction of navigation system owners. I already had my finances ready so I was in and out within 25 minutes. We have test drove the CR-V EX-L at three different dealers and was impressed even more every time we did again. It has awesome interior, very adequate acceleration, and very good innovation in space usage. It looks much more expensive then it is. Just in case you were wondering, we did test the competition and the CR-V was miles ahead. Unless you need a V6, the CR-V is a much better car. The Rav4 is cheap inside and we are not fans of the tire on the back, although the V6 is great. The Santa Fe has so many hard, cheap plastics all over, I felt I was in play place at McDonalds. It also had very minimal, if any, innovation. Another part that turned me away from both cars, is the lack of a navigation option. In todays market why DONT you offer one. And I don't have the time to wait to get the Santa Fe w/Navigation in the spring (doubt they will even have one available, starting in spring). Most of all is the resale value, which the CR-V definatly has the Hyundai beat and it is equal if not better than the Rav4.

Is any idea how much people are paying for 07 Honda CRV LX AWD in Seattle area. I have got quote for $21,200 from Carsdirect which is less that dealer. Is this price okay?
It might be helpful if the tech people would allow us to use our carspace.com addresses, rather than be forced to use our personal ones on this public forum.
I tried to change it to my carspace email, and it won't accept it. So we all have to choose to either make up a special one just for here, make our addresses viewable to the public, or not display it.
Since so many questions are geo-specific, forcing users to list a general location would be nice too.....
I don't know how to give you my email id. I'm not going to list my real email address and I can't post my carspace email address in this message. So if you could email it to the username listed in this post (at) carspace (dot) com, then I'll get it.
Everyone that registers as a member has a CarSpace e-mail account. All you have to do is click on their username, and there is a link to their CarSpace page.
Once you get there, their CarSpace e-mail link is right near the top.
I don't think we'll be forcing anyone to list their location. Some people prefer to remain somewhat anonymous.
Don't worry, though... If you read it on the internet, it must be true!!
A Bay Area dealer quoted me $20,488 + fees thus coming up with an out-the- door price of 23,261, which does not make any sense ? Edmunds lists the MSRP as $21800 + Destn Charge $595 = $22395 and the TMV as $22086.
3000 miles away: I was quoted (before any attempts at negotiation) $20.4K for a 2WD LX (before any fees/delivery) and was told the 4WD was $1200 more making the $20,488 in #3760 a steal for a 4WD
Sorry, I meant "DOOR VISORS". If you go to Honda.com, and "build and Price", you can select "Details" and see exactly what I meant. The reason i got them is because it is going to be my wifes car and she use to have a car with them and she liked them because she could open the window a little and if it were raining, she would not get rain in the car.
LOL I had a 92 Continental with Sun Visors that extended and they covered the area around the rear view mirror. Even with sunglasses the sun at low angles the sun seems to be in my face at that juncture too often and sun Glasses do not do the job. Just a pet peave with me.
I was researching and thinking to buy one so I looked at it in Richfield, MN where the sales person was very aggressive to push me to buy one at the spot.
The area on the windshield around the rear view mirror on the 2nd & 3rd gen. CRV's is covered with a dark grid pattern to fill the gap between visors and protect against sun glare.
I have applied a strip of film for that troublesome area. Although most all States forbid tinting on the windshield, they do not forbid a 3"-5" strip of the dark film, so long as it isn't the mirror stuff.
I just get a quote CR-V 2007 LX2WD for $19,688, after including the distination fee is 20,283 at South Bay Honda. Is there any better offer than this one?
When I saw in ebay the price for 7yr/100,000 miles was $875.00. So, I was happy buying it from the dealer for $1100.00 as my loan will take care of it. Still, I have the time to cancel the honda care. I am thinking about it.
Not ragging on you personally, but I see a lot of people who don't really see the value of money over time.
$1100 for the warranty today is probably $1200 once all the interest is added (60 months, 5% APR).
The difference between the $875 on ebay and $1200 at the dealer is $325. I can think of a few things that I could get for $325.
Don't take it personally. There are tons of people who see it your way as opposed to seeing it my way.

i got a quote for 22300 with destination for EX-4WD
, (excluding T&T). is it a good peice.
However, keep us posted when you do the actual deal...they tend to make money somewhere: on car, trade or financing.
Also, in my past car purchases, sometimes they quote different but when you go to actually buy, it is a different story.
Good Luck !
I am also looking in NJ (Trenton area) or across the river in PA.
I note that there are 4 EX-L with nav available so it looks like they are starting to appear.

Check the dealers in Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale or Jacksonville....Sometimes you drive a little, save a lot.
What do you all think?
$24,300 including destination charge.
then(monstrous) tax $1974
plus title stuff
for total of $26,500
Dutchess County New York
I'm having my regrets about this price. Just placed downpayment.
Is this a decent price?
