I'm being quoted $739/mo with $2500 down for fees for A6 PP 3.0. Wanted to know if this seems like a good deal. I live in NJ.

    Thanks in advance!

Still would need to know the MSRP and adjusted cap cost to tell you if it's good or not.
Really? If you do the math, it comes out to be: $739*36 + $2500 = $29104 for 36 months for a A6 3.0 PP. Given the state tax of NJ, I wanted to know if this monthly payment looks reasonable.

The MSRP quoted to me was $62925. Lets assume there is no discount on it.
    MF is standard.

At the end of the day I care if I'm getting a good deal for NY/NJ/CT tristate area and whether there is room to bring it down significantly. $10/$15 wouldn't matter much I guess, but if I can get it close to $700/month then it can be significant savings.

    Feedback?

    Thanks in advance.

Moderator,  you mentioned in a prior post that the a6 isn't a cheap car to lease.  I'm seeking a luxury sedan with all wheel drive.  Do you know of other similar vehicles that lease better currently?

Infiniti, Lexus and even the Mercedes E-Class are all leasing out better than the Audi.

My suggestion is not to negotiate the payment but rather the purchase price. You should be able to get 4-6% off sticker, before any available incentives.

And, I try not to dispense advice without knowing all the facts.

I am considering leasing a 2016 Audi A6 3.0 before the end of month when my current lease (2013 S4) is up. When is the 2017 A6 expected to be in inventory and do you think it's worth waiting to get the 2017 and should I expect a price increase for 2017 vs. 2016?

    Thank you!

No information on 2017 availability. I would expect a price bump, but don't know how much.

NJ taxes the sum of the payments, and collects it up front. You can either pay that amount when you sign the paperwork, or add the tax amount to the cap cost and add it to the monthly payment.

Getting a quote for A6, premium plus, AWD,cold weather package, Bose speakers for MSRP $55145; quoted price is $49600. This is in Chicagoland area.
Firstly, is this a good deal.
Secondly, what would be the residual value and money factor for a 10K, 3 year lease.
    Thirdly, is audicare worth it?

    Thanks

    We don't track selling prices.

AudiCare is definitely a good deal, as it raises the residual by 1%

    Is .00037 correct??
Does this vary from state to state? For example in my case, if I shop in Chicago vs Milwaukee would the money factor be different?

Hello, I am looking to lease an A6 3.0T Quattro Premium Plus in the Kansas City area. Looking for May 2016 residual and money factor for 3 yr/10k or 3 yr/12k. Is Audi still pricing about 6% below MSRP? Thanks for the info!

6% off sticker is a good price for an Audi, yes.

    Dear moderator and others:

Audi A6, 2T, premium plus, Quattro, cold weather package, Bose speakers.
    MSRP: 55145
Down payment towards cap reduction: 2728.00
    +audicare (849)+ wear and tear (864) + acquisition fee (795)
    Minus other rebates from dealer
    No trade in from me.

Monthly payment 499 (sales tax extra)
    Residual value: 30881
    10k, 3 years

    In essence I pay 499 x 36 plus 2728 plus 350 disposition fees

I am perplexed by all numbers and details. Bottom line, is it a good deal?
Have never leased before, any help and comments greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

.00037 and 55% for 36/10 on 2.0T Quattro Premium Plus. Add 1% for AudiCare.

What is the negotiated selling price, before the down payment and incentives? Better yet, ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is - this is the selling prices plus any taxes and fees added in less the cap reduction.

We don't recommend making a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

What state and tax rate is this?

The adjusted cap cost is 49793.
    Wisconsin, sales tax 5.1%
    Looks solid.

First of all, I love this site you all are awesome!
I am working out a deal on a 2016 A6 2.0 Quattro Premium in Texas
    MSRP $52,970
    Final Price $49,500
    Negative Trade Balance $8,000
    Audi Car $849
    Taxes and Fees $600
    TOTAL CAP COST $58,949
    They quoted me .000147 MF
    42 Month / 15K
    36 Month / 15K
What is base MF and Residual for these options and what payment would you get with just first month down?
Do you know what credit score is needed for quoted MF?

Do you know what credit score is needed for quoted MF?

Let's start with the easy stuff ....

    36/15 - .00037 and 53%
    42/15 - .00057 and 49%

Add 1% to those numbers for AudiCare

So, the MF is marked way up on you for starters.

We don't have the score cutoffs for Tiers B and C credit, just that the MF markup is .00040 for B and .00065 for C.

If we use your prices with the base MF, I get a payment of $890/mo for 36 months and $834/mo for 42 months without AudiCare, $875/mo for 36 months and $822/mo or 42 months with AudiCare.

Next, why are you trading in with such a large negative equity amount? That $8K alone is adding $222/mo to your 36 month payment or $190/mo to the 42 month term.

Can you wait until you aren't so buried?

Third, Texas is one of a handful of states that applies sales tax to the entire selling price of the car - so, 6.25% (I think) of $49,500, or almost $3100. That amount can be paid at lease signing or added into the cap cost - another $74-86 month, depending on lease term. Unless this is already reflected in the cap cost you've given us.

Audis are pretty expensive to lease (compared to MB or BMW), but the details you've shared with us make the payments a lot higher.

I currently own a CPO Audi, financed at 1.99 for 84 months with nothing down, thst is the reason I've got so much negative equity. The car is costing a lot to maintain and it's already at 70K miles, leasing is the only way out without me putting Money down, getting warranty and with Audi care less maintenance costs.

With Trade in value of $39,500 I will be paying taxes only on difference between total cap and trade in value and yes it's 6.25%

MF looks weird on my side, I put .000147 but you think they quoted me .00147??

I will visit MB and BMW, I'll post more numbers on this deal tomorrow after I ask them to get me a better MF and after researching sales price. They gave me $49,500 that includes $2,500 rebate but now I think it should be about 5% off MSRP minus $2,500 in rebates, right?

Yes, 4-6% off sticker before any applicable incentives is a good target for Audi.
