leasing a 2015 infiniti q50 premium with navi package, spare tire package and 60/40 split (MSRP: $43,395)

    negotiated offer:
    39 month lease
    $370 (includes CA taxes already)
$2000 drive off (fees, first month, etc...)
    10k a year mileage

I'm also returning my 2013 infiniti fx 37 which i'm over 20K miles and they will cover the excess mileage cost which is about $5K lol

i have 4 payments left into my lease and those remaining payments are included to the total cost of the lease

    is this a good deal???

purchase price from the docs they provided shows $35,550 so almost $8k less the sticker

    thoughts???????

    .00030 and 54% for 39/10 on Q50 Premium (I assume RWD).

Assuming 9% tax, those numbers get me $358/mo .. I suspect some of your mileage charges or remaining lease payments are finding their way into your new deal.

    But, not much of it.

As the other poster noted, why get 10K miles per year when you are so far over your mileage allotment on your existing lease?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah you are right... they added $3k to the price of the q50 since i have 4 payments outstanding... my current lease (fx37) trade in value was $27K and payoff is $30K ($3K variance).

I closed the deal last night.... $380 a month (tax included) 39 months. $1500 down instead of $2K,

Only thing carried over was the $3K i mentioned above which was included in the total lease calculation.

The reason why i don't do leases with more than 10K miles a year is because the dealer always buy out the vehicle, therefore i feel there is no need to ask for more mileage allotment which then will add more to my monthly. Also I will always lease an infiniti so the dealer usually dismisses the charge for excess mileage.

All in all i think i got a good deal... my registration for my fx was due in a month which i didn't have to pay so i saved some money on that plus my car monthly went from $575 (FX) to $380 so i'm happy lol

    Thanks for your feedback!

@mvela007 - great job!  I drive a lot more than average (about 20K per year), so leasing for me gets expensive if I were to take a 20K per year lease.  I always wondered "what if" I took a 10 K per year lease as you do, but I guess I just don't have the stones to take the gamble.  Cheap lease rates, high residuals, & healthy discounts ( many are reporting $7K off on these boards) aren't going to be around forever.

Back in 2007 (I know, times were different), I leased a 2007 X3 for my wife.  36 months, 15K per year.  $472 per month including tax.  2 years into the 3 year lease, we were at about 38K miles.  So we bought another car (I'm a proud member of Chronic Car Buyer's Anonymous) so we wouldn't go over the miles.  At the end of the lease, I interest rates were higher and residuals weren't inflated, so the same 2010 X3 would have cost us well over $600 per month to lease.

So instead of "giving" your vehicle back to Infiniti Financial Services, the dealers buys it from you as a trade in?  The $3K in negative equity gets rolled into your new lease which is a lot better than paying $5K in excess mileage charges.  Yet your payments continue to drop.  Good for you.  You found a wY to work the system.

Subtract 5% from residuals for either for 36 or 39 months.

Yep, that's why you see folks leasing the base model for < $300/mo given the discounts from sticker that are available.

Are there new November money factor and residual for base q50 RWD for 36/39 15K?

Agree...the aggressive deals are in the base model AWD, not the premium or sport package. Wonder why Infiniti chose to go this route. I would have thought more equipped vehicles, which are also pricier, would be more challenging to sell.

Hard to say... do you want a base model? Most people don't.

Also, at my local Infiniti dealership, you couldn't find a base model. It allows them to advertise a very low rate, and marketing is what it's all about.

No not looking for base model. Was looking at AWD Premium, but the pricing didn't get better in November than in October for that specific trim. Wondering what Infiniti's thought is here as 2015 is winding down to a close and 2016 is probably a month away from hitting the dealerships.

As noted, it has to do with marketing. If, by next month, there is still a lot of 2015 inventory on the lots, I wouldn't be surprised to see some better numbers.

just went thru a new lease process with a local dealer here. i got the quote and was basically told "choose anything under the base Q50 filter on the website". website had dealer stock as 10 base models, 93 premiums and 27 sports. so i did the base filter thing and chose the most expensive one at MSRP 39990 and we were done.

base works for me in the flatlands of SE texas.

I am confused in the differences between the base vs premium. Is the base same as Q50a they were selling 2 years back?
What about the steering on the 2, is it the same?

yes its the same, base model is Q50a. not sure what you get more in the premium vs base. same 328BHP engine.

base q50a is still a very well equipped luxury car.

I know there is a big jump to the sport model, better handling brakes and bigger rims.

    Makes sense.
I am guessing the base doesn't have the power steering movements. And memory settings for steering.
Does it have memory seats and mirrors?
Also, looking at the base trim I think it doesn't have the Bose audio system.
What about Nav and backup camera?
Leatherette seats instead of leather and no moonroof. (that isnt difference for me though)
Also can you stream music via Bluetooth or is it only for calls?

I dont need an AWD either since I am in PHX.

I have only 2 Base models in my dealership. That too MSRP $38495 (Dealer installed illuminated kickplates and I am sure tint and other dealer add-ons)

Seems like a great deal if you are only spending ~$11.5k for 39 months. I am guessing any entry level would depreciate the same if you were to buy and trade in in ~3/4 years.

Nothing special on the steering that I know about
Both front seats are power. i don't think there is a driving position memory tho.
Audio is good but its not Bose
no nav, yes backup camera and predictive path,
not sure n the seats, they look and feel like leather.
    mine has moonroof.
yes bluetooth and can I stream music thru my phone, I never got all the app crap on my old one either, never had the need for it.

my total "rental" cost for 39 months of a 328bhp infiniti is $10,868. $667 of which is interest.

heres a similar one at my local dealer

There is lst of inventory out there. Even if you use some dealer websites as a loose barometer:

    Greenwich Infiniti: (78) Q50
Pepe Infiniti of White Plains: (171) Q50
    Infiniti of Manhasset: (129) Q50

Thanks for all the details. Really helpful info.

I did get a 2014 Q50a as a loaner one time. Coming from a G37 and as someone who likes its firm steering and firm ride, especially on turns, I just did not enjoy the car.

I did test drive a Q50 premium CPO 2 weeks back. It didnt feel as bad honestly. So I am confused. I am pretty sure I did not drive the sport.

It looks like a good deal, but they've calculated the tax incorrectly.
They have quoted you tax for Ohio, but you'll pay Michigan tax.
So, you won't have the $995 capitalized tax, but will have 6% tax collected on the payment, each month.

That should result in a small savings. ($5-$10/mo.?)

    .00006 MF and 59% residual for 39/10 or 36/12.

    Thank you very much.

I completed this deal with a MI local deal.

$303 plate fee at sign. 0 other expense.

$350 monthly payment included tax. for 39/12k lease.

I really appreciate this web, giving me a great many useful information. In fact, this is a quotation given by the dealer originally. I think it is ok. And the car is the one I want. So I just sign it.

Whats the MF for Q50 RWD premium in Texas along with residual for 10k and 12k? I got a quote of $33980 (MSRP $41340 ) but $396 a month for 10k miles and $406 for 12k miles. Residual was $22,323 and $21,910. They said MF is .0003. Is the money factor high?

I see based on history of posts that MF changed from .00006 to 0.0003 . So it actually went up for November?

Whats the MF for Q50 RWD premium in Texas along with residual for 10k and 12k? I got a quote of $33980 (MSRP $41340 ) but $396 a month for 10k miles and $406 for 12k miles. Residual was $22,323 and $21,910. They said MF is .0003. Is the money factor high?

.00030 MF and 55%/54% residual for 36 months. Subtract 1% for 39 months.

.00006 MF is for AWD model.

Thanks. I will get the 36 months option if they offer. Cross-shopping with ES350 which is 2016 and money factor is higher. This seems a lot better deal.

On the surface, it looks good, but it would be helpful to know the full accounting of the $3000 up front monies.

Out of the $3000, $2000 is upfront down payment that includes all fees taxes and 1st month payment. And $1000 going toward reducing the net cap.

Your "other costs" most likely include the $700 acquisition fee.

Looks like prices are dropping on the base model a little.

Are you in PHX? This image is exactly the same on my dealership's page. I see the same "2 or more available" as well.
Yes, I am. Let's try to communicate the deals we find in PHX.
