At some point, Infiniti will stop supporting leases on the 2015's. Can't say when, but if you're in the market, you might want to act quick to get your preferred trim and color.

That may not have been a classic bait & switch but it was certainly a disingenuous teaser advert. The whole point of that mailing is to get you on the lot so they can play precisely the games that they perpetrated upon you. They likely had one unit at the advertised price that they knew wouldn't be around come the weekend.
This is why I always recommend to have your deal in place before you leave your house-and by that I mean a $0 drive off price (with mileage and # of months) tied to a VIN, and at least one other firm offer from another dealer in the region. Tell them you will walk if the car isn't there when you arrive and at the price you agreed on. Also have them run your credit before you leave for the lot as that is the only legitimate means by which the price can change that is your fault, i.e.. not qualifying for IFS top tiers.
As MIchaell mentions, they are screwing you on the MF, too. However, this is why I strongly recommend only comparison shopping by demanding $0 total due offers as that way you don't have to worry about the MF, sales price, cap cost, etc--meaning you don't care about how they manipulate the numbers get to the best price, as long is that is all that will have paid come 2019. (e.g. $299 x 38 months).
You have the good fortune as a car buyer of living in the most competitive auto marketplace in the world-Southern California-just email any other of the other dealers and forget about this one.
Please scan and post a picture of the advert you got or at least disclose the dealer.
Thanks for posting the deal.
Where do you live? I"m assuming it's somewhere snowy that makes the AWD worth the extra $5,000?
It's almost the exact deal that I go except I got 2015 Hybrid AWD Premium w/Nav.
Thanks for the suggestions, In the future I will certainly make sure that any internet or mailing "offer" is tied to an actual vehicle. I am perfectly willing to believe that the offer wasn't intended to be a bait and switch just, like you said, subject to available stock - which due to the 2015 "close out" could have been highly limited.
I kinda thought that the MF was being juggled (even asked why it went from .0003 to .0006) but the offer that they mode to me on a lease-and-puchase-in-a-few-months Q50 with Nav and Deluxe Touring at $38K meant that I would only be paying at most 6 months of interest at the higher rate, maybe about $125 too much and compared to an outright purchase this was still thousands cheaper.
I'm not sure I still have the flyer but the dealer was Infiniti of Van Nuys. Since it was a mailed out offer I really don't think they were playing games with me, just that the number of Q50s they had in a basic Premium config was limited but, like you said, I should have called in and gotten a VIN number first.
Thanks for the comment. I hadn't even given the hybrid a thought until the lease deal fell through and the sales manager mentioned that the hybrids actually out perform the standard V6. I'm now going back to test drive one and see how it handles. Probably will still look to purchase as I don't think the lease deals are as good (buy maybe a lease and quick buyout).
So I do have a couple of questions for you (or anyone else)...
Any thoughts on battery life and maintenance costs for these cars?
I gather you purchased your car at around MSRP-10K, can you tell me what package(s) were included?
Have you noticed any quirkiness in the Driver Assistance? I've read anecdotal comments about Infiniti's "drive-by-wire" system - especially in the 2015 model year - which give me a bit of pause. I'd be looking at a RWD version if available.
Thanks again.
Plenty of bells and whistles to keep me having fun for the length of my lease. Infiniti connect and google connected search have already come in handy.
Let me know how the test drive goes, ask questions. Drive on both back roads and higheay type, aided my decision as I had a 30 min test drive to be sure.
Good luck!!!
I strongly suggest you read the reviews of Van Nuys on Yelp and Google Reviews. They are pretty damning and your experience reported above is not a surprise based on the comments about that franchisee.
To the extent I understand the "pay it off in three months" offer, I'd be very wary of it. It seems you'd be paying double transaction costs. (I don't see such an option in the IFS standard lease form, other than the usual payoff option, which you are free to do at anytime.) IFS is offering .9% interest, so it doesn't make sense to buy it twice in three months, just buy it the first time.
Also, read the review on Edmunds for the Q50 hybrid--it is not positive. And lastly, before you buy any hybrid, do the math on the savings. Usually there's a premium-$5k to $10k for hybrids-you are unlikely to earn that back over a three year lease as long as gas is $3.00 a gallon.
Had to step away from looking at cars for a bit to deal with a dying pet, just did not have the necessary focus (or desire) to deal with car salespersons.
I am going to test a hybrid today to see how it handles. The Edmunds review was quite discouraging but was for a 2014 and I'll be looking at the 2015/6 so maybe some of the issues have been resolved. The user reviews are decidedly mixed with 4 "love it" and 2 "hate it." The cost of the hybrid certainly isn't recouped in gas savings but getting the added "oomp" compared to the 2016's might justify the extra cost; not $5K more but maybe
$2.5K.
Straightdope, when the dealer offered me the lease-it-first option it was because they had incentives which lowered the cost of the Q50 Prem to $38K, saving me about $4K over a straight purchase. I presume that by "double transaction costs" you mean the ACQ and "payoff" fees. If that's the case then the total cost would go up by a few hundred but would still be well below the cost of a straight out purchase. If I were to go that route I would first want to read the actual lease and go over it term by term with them, especially given the yelp reviews. I plan to visit Infiniti of Beverly Hills to see if they are more upfront about costs.
Thanks again for all your help, I'll let you know what happens.
.00204 and 44% for 39/12
Probably better off going with a 2016, at this point.

Thanks for a lot of useful information. I learned how autobrokers make money thanks to you guys. I don't want to deal with the dealership directly but this is what my autobroker offers me:
2016 Infiniti Q50 w/ premium package for $1500 out of pocket, $299 a month for 39months
MSRP $40,455
I would like to know if that's a really good deal or if I could do better. Thank you!
